Appreciate the responses! I didn't know I could get the recharge that far down! And I wasn't aware of the DDR. I feel like I could mitigate the crash with by breaking contact and popping green and blue inspirations. So I'm thinking I might pick it up on my solo build that I'm making.

I didn't experience this on Indomitable.

Anyone? I'm looking at my Widow build, already hitting +70% across all positional defenses, and I'm thinking "why should I pick up Elude?" I'm running set bonuses and getting this build wacky over powered. I'm talking built to solo incarnate content +4/8 all day, taunting multiple +4 Heroes without concern, I'm already running through hardcore difficulties... ...but I see this power that skyrockets my defense to the point of absurdity. Why would I need +160% positional defenses? Enemies are always going to have at least a 5% chance to hit me no matter how high my defense gets. And sure, it lasts 3 minutes - but holy cow the recharge is like 15 minutes! So my rant aside, who picks this power and why? What am I missing? Is this for IO builds not using set bonuses? Should I pick it up for "Worthy Opponent" ???

Arachnos Widows can get pretty crazy Defense percentages. Aside from clicking their Elude which is insane and pointless IMO, they can pretty easily hit +55% across all three positional defenses while solo. Add on Mind Link to that and its mad defense, (and while it's permable, it's effects are not stackable by the same caster). That aside aside, yeah Divine Avalanche is pretty awesome! It works really well with resistance based sets, especially when the character is built for recharge.

I'm a bit of both - enjoyed the feeling of breaking out of the Zig and crawling my way up in the Arachnos organization or striking it out on my own. Also like the current zone for its convenience - for example, when I die, the hospital isn't a 30 minute Sprint away (it's centralized), To be fair to Homecoming, the changes were made before their time. And it's really a result of the insanely high leveling speed from Levels 1 to 10 in this game that warps players past all that nostalgia.

In before "hover across the Hollows" or "sneak to the tailor in steel canyon"... 😁 Circa 2004 I enjoyed street sweeping immensely and was most impressed with Perez Park (the ambience, the sound effects, getting lost in the maze of trees, the enemies hidden throughout the zone, and the booger monster himself, Kraken). I was a wee Level 4, having acquired Flurry from the Speed Travel Pool, and thought myself capable of handling the hazards of Perez Park; when I finally loaded through the War Wall Security Gate, I saw more Hellions than my computer could render slowly following a Tanker. It was at this moment I knew I needed to make another character and ever since then I have enjoyed grinding via street sweeping.

If I remember correctly, defeating the Seed of Hamidon grants a unique temporary power that lasts for 30 minutes and gives the player +15% xp/inf. Is it stackable? Is it possible to stack? Double XP + Street Sweeping + that extra 15% is nice! (Or the next time the HC team run one of those x5 xp/inf or x10 xp/inf type events!)

Chess is a really great strategy game! - I think it is almost a little unfair comparison to modern MMOs - even to the nearly twenty year old City of Heroes. Then again, there are different mechanics, but the strategy of defeating you opponent by making the right choices before they do is still the same in both games.
-
In addition to the above, much like with any open zone Giant Monster, opening up the auction house with the "/ah" chat command and then buying all the inspirations is another way to cheese it.

I've only got a Widow, but I'm pretty sure it's 30% damage boost with x2 Assualt running. Edit: So like 210% damage boost if x7 VEATs running x2 Assault.

I'll have to add my two cents about Warburg Nukes (and Shivans) - these were tantamount to required temps to have for Villain teams attempting the original LRSF back on live. Edge case, perhaps - definitely know in my experience nobody got them just to throw at other players (unless there was a big battle in Warburg or Recluse's Victory). Nowadays, Incarnate abilities fill that role.

I know of some folks whose goal was to obtain as many badges as possible at the lowest levels possible, but I am not privy to the results of their labor.

Wow this thread exploded since earlier today! Has anyone brought up Regen yet? 😀 Brutes get it, but it's lower regeneration ceiling numbers than Scrappers, all I'm saying...

That's how Badger works. Tells you all the badges, then as you mark them collected, they disappear from the list. Eventually you see nothing remaining. I'm pretty sure there is a box to tick to do that and this site may not have the most updated/recent badges immediately. All volunteer time and passion project, so that's fair imo. https://n15g.github.io/badger/

Yeah I think (correct me if I am wrong) that Scrappers have a higher chance to Crit on certain attacks (like Eagles Claw), and the ATO proc provides a guaranteed crit chance as opposed to a straight percentage. If this is true, ATOs are really supplementary solutions to each AT's inherent weakness, whether by design or unintended.
-
This is welcome news! I don't play Brutes too often, so I must've put that ATO in a power that doesn't benefit from the proc mechanics. Outside of the ATO (and Frenzy), is my statement still accurate?
-
I usually solo because of my hobby schedule (it's shrinking!), but when I do team up it is a good time. I haven't ran any incarnate trials recently though, only just normal teaming.
-
Tangentially, there was a 3 year old thread that was necro'd the other day. Talk about a zombie topic!
-
I would just like to see the Fury bar hit 100% in normal gameplay. What other AT requires the use of an Alignment temporary power in order to use their inherent to its fullest potential? (I'm referring to Frenzy)

As an Ice/Cold Corruptor main since Homecoming launched, I'll argue that what your said above is not an incontrovertible truth. Buffs and debuffs assist greatly in improving the amount of damage dealt and minimizing damage received. In this game, in any given engagement, whether NPC or Player, the goal is to bring the target's health to 0 before they can bring yours to 0. So to me, damage is the true king.
