As for Galaxy City and the thread - it still exists in game. Not just the Echo version of it. As was pointed out above, GM_Bot resides there and anyone with the right authorities, namely GMs or dev console users can visit it. Why it was chosen? No clue, I think from a lore perspective it had something to do with Shivans and the 'Coming Storm.' I do wish Shivans were more developed as a faction in this game, perhaps that's a future thread that can be picked up by Homecoming.

Indeed! While the arena event slash command and menu option have since been obviated this concern on Homecoming, I greatly appreciate the memories I made in these. Standing tall next to the arena kiosks in Galaxy City during the release of Issue 4 and running through the different level brackets and huge battles that ensued because nobody knew what was good or bad - cherished memories for me and my compatriots back then. The next closest memory would've been the introduction of Bloody Bay and Siren's Call after the release of CoV. Magical times!

Snarky has a great perspective. I understand it. I'm also a badger myself - only difference I have between the folks with all the badges and my current 1500+ main is I play until I feel like I've played enough. Burnout is real, and I'm happy to have had this game back and being run by a fantastic team. The past four years have shown me I can take a break and come back to the same great community. And there is usually more badges or some character concept I want to try by then.

Cold Domination is the best among the two because I'm subjective. Cold Domination has a lot of versatility in slotting opportunities. This allows for high tier solo, team- oriented builds, or a combination of the two that's tailored to specific content. Benumb is the second best -Regeneration power in the game after the Traps power. Sleet and Heat Loss added make even AVs soloable.

I would recommend you double check the destiny incarnate power. It needs to be the +Max HP Rebirth power.

Thank you! Exactly! I posted those websites to show the slippery slope in action - anyone can link a website on the internet that will say whatever they want. It is a bad faith discussion to use those types of things as evidence.

Subjectiveness abounds...look I can do it too! Is this going to be a faithful discussion or are you already firmly set on saying Discord is bad? I can just as easily link posts that support the opposite of any given opinion - of course this doesn't make either of our points relevant. If anything, it shows how easy it is to prove that things are subjective and good and bad can mean different things to different people. How about a discussion about what things you find are effective or ineffective to your specific use case about the platform? Then others can share how they use it or the reasons they don't? Either way, that is the official platform (along with the forums) Homecoming has established based on their needs for communicating with the community.

And anyone interested in finding this information out can do so. Where is the disconnect, I'm curious? What is giving you the impression that this information isn't readily available? Anyone - they don't even need to have any expertise in testing - can join a community of other players, dev and Homecoming staff included, to get after the fun and banal aspects of breaking, fixing, and rebreaking the game in the journey towards the Homecoming team's vision. It is as easy as clicking a link, filling out a request, waiting patiently for a reply, and then downloading the separate server on to the launcher. Even if people don't want to invest their time and effort in to making the game better and would prefer to be aware of the changes on the table, (which frequently change, get rolled back, or saved for later due to further testing) they can do so. There isn't anything stopping anyone from doing so, except their own decisions not to. I would also caution that expectation management will pay dividends to anyone who thinks being in the know is all there is to enjoying the game. Game development is a process and things change frequently, sometimes due to unforseen circumstances as @GM Impervium mentioned on previous pages. I would offer to also be aware that no amount of time or effort invested will make any player's opinion more valid or listened to - but evidence and methodology go a long way!

Hey the beta server is open to anyone and so is the closed beta. There isn't any sequestration, just people with time on their hands and an interest in making the game better.

Yeah that pocket tank idea is actually pretty sweet. Keep in mind though it will bring a lot more mobs to the party. I usually keep the alt logged out until I've stealthed through the map to ensure spawn sizes stay tiny.
