That mission is a damn good one, @Ankylosaur. One of the things I've discovered along the way, much as @cranebump has pointed out, is the AE does what it does. Now, you need to figure out how to make it look like you meant that to happen! You can assign an "expendable" ally to a player, one whose job is to spout useful information as they take damage, like "This guy is broadcasting some sort of signal! We'd better find the receiver." But in general the type of dialog tree you're talking about simply isn't there. @Take One mentioned the meta approach where an info dump is contained in an ally's bio info, chats and so on. That's doable but you'd need to either signpost that in the mission brief or mission entry clue.

Thanks for the run, @Kyksie. I've scaled one of those EBs back to a boss. Can't make it TOO easy, LOL. Between those three and their accompanying Loyalist counterparts that's an extra 30 missions slotted on to the end of Praetoria. I've got more Goldside stuff planned but there'll be a little break from that for a while!

No, I'm not. More than half of the thread involved speaking to Null to change alignments. I've answered this exact question plenty of times in the Help channel in game, that if you're Gold you cannot (a) change your alignment from Loyalist to Resistance or vice versa at Null, and (b) you can't change any of those into a hero/villain/Vigilante/Rogue at Null. You need to take the rift mission first. I'll grant that I could have been clearer earlier but that's hardly pedantry.

You can't change them at Null.

Unless you pick Gold. You can't change alignment until you've crossed over and naturalized as a Primal. Up until then that option isn't even there when a Gold talks to Null.

No, I getcha. Maybe some would. But I was including Arena matches and number of PVP defeats in my example, I know they do that, hell I've got a Disruptor badge because a badger needed defeats and wanted help, and I reckoned if I was going to get killed 50 times I was definitely doing it back!

They already do it for Arena stuff. They collect the exploration badges in the PVP zones, grab whatever else is needed, like Gunner and so on, or take out so many pillboxes in RV etc, and then they're out.

I'm going to be a downer, but I see dedicated badgers grabbing a second build for PVP, getting the badges and then never coming back. I could be wrong.

So, rather like Army of the Dead? You could have a Mayhem mission in one of the PVP zones where going in there means exactly what you think it means! Rob the bank in a warzone. Excellent! Personally I'd like to see the Asynchronous version. Accumulate enough Mayhem or Safeguard points and "you" are loaded in as the next hero/villain in a following Safeguard/Mayhem. though you may, if you cross alt like many of us do, actually run into yourself! And that would be interesting!

On the to do list right now (notes sketched out) is an AE arc set in First Ward before the Hamidon attack. Yes, I'll have to use indoor maps, because even if we get First Ward maps in the AE they'll be ruins. Let's see how it goes.

I main Gold side. Love the place. My main is a Gold who never left. And I know it's quiet over there. However, you simply cannot up the rewards without outlevelling the content almost immediately. Nova Praetoria to Imperial City to Neutropolis runs 1 to 20, and there's a fair chunk of content there. Yes it's available via ouro, but part of the draw (for this player at least) are the choices you make, and ouro loses a lot of that. Small teams can work there, our SG has them, the Hounds of Love SG run teams in Praet, but you can't just up rewards, merits whatever without bypassing the content. If I had a say (which I don't) I'd slide the levels in Praetoria Proper up to 25 at least and leave the content mostly as is, move First Ward to 25 to 35 and Night Ward 35 to 45. A pet peeve of mine is seeing a message from a newb asking how to get out of Praetoria. So far I have refrained from what I want to say, which is make a new character. If you're not liking the story then it's not for you. Find your sweet spot and have fun there. Hell, it might even be base building or Hellion punting. And I've hijacked this thread long enough.

I never did read any of those Pern books - I did work as a manager in a book store and ran the Fantasy & Sci Fi section though, so I've seen them at least - we have one type of lizard, and that's the only reptile that isn't imported as a pet or in a zoo/etc. And of course to mix it up it's a vivaparous lizard. Even so, it rains enough that I can imagine green fire lizards having difficulty getting started in the morning 🙂

I think we are actually agreeing on things....I think! Yes, you do all that, and build for all that but you're not advocating that that is somehow the default.

Well, you've answered your query I feel. Obviously it is my interpretation of what I read but I read quite a lot of the forum - not saying you don't but maybe we're not reading the same things - and that's what I see. Mind you, discussions as to builds and such will tend to aim for higher, so that makes sense, but then I see that then imported to posts where I for one don't see the relevance. Ah well.
