Should be good on War Mace Willpower really benefits from a AOE knockdown to let its regen kick in. And Crowd Control should do nicely. Also has a AOE disorient for lower levels.

The thread is way back where Capt PH discusses things. Maybe someone remembers it. It wasn't the resist it was the defense that was an issue. And there were tons of screenies with crazy solo brute EA def numbers.

What is EA from ICE for a tanker? There is a definite disconnect in the sustained numbers. Thus Capt PH saying a EA port would be OP on Tankers.

The real EA insult is you can generate much higher Def numbers on a Brute thanks to EA energy drain than you can on an ICE tanker. High enough that the DDR isn't an issue.

Since Energy Aura for Brutes was based on Tanker ICE, due to them not wanting to mess up Fury with ICE's slows ... Then later Energy Aura got buffed way way up, it stands to reason that ICE is now proportionally weaker, outdated, and needing some TLC. Of Course you can make it work with lots of IOs, and it grabs ton of aggro, and the slows are handy, Tankers are super tough, so its not really impressive ICE can be made to work for them. But I think its got weak, early Issue balance compared to the Power Inflated monstrosities of today.

Don't forget the guassians chance for buildup in invicibility, it has multiple chances to proc there.

Yeah tbh the farming for the IOs probably takes longer than the power leveling even now.

On those games where it takes 100s of hours to reach max level, allowing you to do this on ALTs makes sense. This game, where you can PUG to 50 after work in a week or so, let alone the whole AE farming in 3 hours stuff ... this really seems a solution looking for a problem. That said, it wouldn't change much really, so whatevs.

There's an acronym that needs to be carefully enunciated.

That's what I was thinking. I solo'd my stalker through all the Redside Arcs, and the sneaking ability was pretty useful.

I think some people get frustrated at why everyone seems to want to skip all these primary and secondary powers? To take what? Its like college when people wanted to count basic basket-weaving towards their Mechanical Engineering degree.

With certain primaries it is the best choice of Melee classes for damage end game. The best version of KM, SJ, Staff, Electric and probably Savage Some Scrappers will do better with other primaries (MA, WM and EM for example). Brutes will get more AOE with some primaries like MA, KAT, BS) And of course some primaries are not available on Stalkers (TW, WM, SS, SM) I've found team survival to be excellent due to decreased threat. Solo survival is good, but not as good as Scrappers or Brutes. And Tankers of course have a completely different role.

Almost a Controller Lite with Blaster Damage. Very nice combo. Someone (I think Galaxy Brain) ran through the numbers and Ice was #2 in least resisted damage types also.

They realize a lot of us are getting old, right? This is why I can only play /EA stalkers, since the Energy glow will silhouette my character and I can actually play Stalker without getting headaches grumble .. stuff about lawns and kids these days and other stuff I forgot already.

This is why I stopped after a light hearted joke. I've never PVP'd in this game. Don't particularly like it on other games. I was once worried that it would detract from other development resources, but MEH, It sure doesn't seem to have. So if the Devs want to do something for the PVP folks, that's cool.
