P2W or other (semi)perma-temp Old School/Retro vision?
ZorkNemesis replied to Greycat's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
My guess is that because the tokens can be traded and sold, Luna will sell the Old School/Retro vision powers year round like the Candy Keeper sells winter stuff. Not a permanent solution but I assume there will still be a way to get them after the event ends. -
They seem to be clones of the Presents, though I don't think theres a "lump of coal" in this group. They activate faster than presents (fireworks instead of RAs) and the effect is neat.

They can be sold like Candy Canes and Halloween salvage if you really don't want them, but I bet their value will drop quickly if it hasn't already.

Make the Experienced Power Able To Be Deleted
ZorkNemesis replied to Rudra's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Doesn't it have a long cooldown like 10 minutes or something? You can't really spam it if you have multiple charges. -
Also, i'm pretty sure Luna sells every possible reward in exchange for tokens. You can see what costume powers are an option since the patch notes don't go into detail on those.

Target HP and END numbers in the Target Window
ZorkNemesis replied to Teirusu's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
They don't need to be. They're already displayed in full if you hover over the health bar for a moment. The suggestion is just pitching that that number be visible without needing to mouse over it for a moment since that's really impractical. -
Target HP and END numbers in the Target Window
ZorkNemesis replied to Teirusu's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Some very basic numbers wouldn't hurt. Simply being able to see HP/End as a number instead of green/blue bars would be nice without having to use a temporary power on each enemy. Analyzer can still be useful for checking other stats like Def or Res. -
The new badge, free 5 use Experienced, and the ability to buy old badges went live Saturday night. Presumably to coincide with the actual date of the anniversairy. Those don't require a server update either, all that was needed was a switch to be flipped.

Only for Travel Powers. It doesn't stop anything else in that tray from appearing.
-
Dual Blades does have an option for chainsaws. Just saying.

The damage is an independent hit check. The dart will always hit and apply sleep (sleep powers are autohit in PvE) but the damage will still need an accuracy check. Entirely possible you're simply missing the damage roll. Check the Hit Rolls in the combat log and see what's happening.

You'd be correct. The "Quit to Login Screen" button wasn't there to begin with. It was actually added just before Issue 19, in the same patch that converted the Fitness Pool into Inherent powers. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Patch_Notes/2010-11-30

This is partially incorrect. You cannot do Power storyarcs undercover in Nova and Neutropolis, but you can do the Power arcs in Imperial City and are even encouraged to by Calvin Scott; this is done by choosing to kill Cleopatra when given the option and becoming a full fledged Loyalist. Similarly a Loyalist undercover can do the Imperial City Crusader line by opting to let Arvin escape and become a Resistance member, but a Loyalist cannot run Crusader in Nova or Neutropolis. The infiltration storylines, as intended, are Warden > change alignment > Crusader > change alignment > Warden, and Responsibility > change > Power > change > Responsibility.

20th Anniversary Q&A - Question Submission Thread
ZorkNemesis replied to Arcanum's topic in Announcements
Apologies if this has been already asked but I do wonder if there were any plans to rehabilitate Boomtown in a similar vein to Faultline and if so what direction was it going to go in? I recall there was at least one mission in Villains where you wrecked a reconstruction site and nowadays it looks like the Council became entrenched following the Praetorian conflicts. Would there have been a case where some of the city zone was rebuilt while the rest ended up as a major Council operation following the loss suffered at Striga? -
The Server Tray is specifically the tray that pops up if you have mission critical temporary powers (Bloody Bay's Ore Extractor or the Adamaster Summoning Ritual for example) or if you have a travel power that includes another power (example: Mystic Flight's Translocation).

Random thought: Midnight Visage only has 15 minutes of up time. What happens if you use it all like a dumbass before talking to Ashley?

Tough to say, wasn't terribly big on superhero stuff growing up. I knew of them but didn't play favorite. I did gravitate toward the DCAU though for cartoons and watched a lot of Teen Titans, Static Shock and Batman Beyond. These days i'm more influenced by the video games than anything, so it would likely be a toss up between Batman and Spider-Man thanks to Arkham City and PS4 Spider-Man.

Yep, 5 charges for anyone logging in and it's added to any preexisting charges you already have.

Tin Mage TF: Use Helicopter for all mission entrances
ZorkNemesis replied to Psi-bolt's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The helicopter doesn't really make sense for going into the conference room that's probably downstairs from the helipad anyway. Maybe just use one of the external doors on the base instead (like the ones you go into for "Defend the Base" missions from Levantra and Serpent Drummer) -
The Carnival of Light Sash is near identical if you match the colors already.

What are some of your most effective weird builds?
ZorkNemesis replied to EniEni's topic in Archetypes
Effective is still up for debate since i'm only level 28, but I've somewhat recently remembered I have a Radiation/Martial Blaster where I was going all-in on Blapping. The setup has me skipping most of my ranged attacks; X-Ray Beam and Cosmic Burst are the two I did take (X-Ray was a necessary pick and Cosmic is just really good) but I still took Irradiate, Aim, and Atomic Blast. Meanwhile i'm getting everything in Martial Combat (except maybe Throw Sand, haven't decided) and dipping into the entire Fighting pool eventually. This has given me sort of a speed brawler feel as I can zip into combat with Burst of Speed and deliver hard hitting melee attacks, or when everything's active i'm essentially a tactical nuke being able to drop a heavily proc'd Irradiate and Atomic Blast as soon as I enter the fray. It's dangerous as I die quick but it's fun as hell. -
You're probably thinking of the Comet/Trieulers (spelling?) who are Sniper class enemies. Snipers can see and engage from pretty much anywhere in render distance but thankfully are very limited with Nemesis being the only group that runs them on the regular. Crey and Council have Snipers on the rooftops in Founders and Peregrine while 5th Column and PPD have them in specific missions (Retake your cloning facility and Doc Buzzsaw's new missions respectively). Meanwhile despite not being Snipers, Vanguard can see you at pretty much any distance as well.

I've been to Striga Island a few times now since the last page dropped and i've noticed something strange about it. Both Ravenstorm and Arbiter Mudd don't appear on the minimap until they've been revealed on the map's Fog of War for a character, after which they remain on the map (presumably as long as the fog remains cleared; playing on a different computer or deleting the fog data might hide them again). They can be revealed either by getting close or by using Reveal and removing all the fog at once. As far as I can tell this doesn't happen on any other map. I'm assuming the waypoints for Ravenstorm and Arbiter Mudd might be incorrectly impelemented as Neighborhood markers and not as Trainers though turning off Neighborhood markers doesn't hide them. Here's what the map looks like on a character who's never been to Striga before. The Base Portal is moused over to seperate it as that's where Ravenstorm should appear. After using Reveal, both Ravenstorm and Arbiter Mudd have their icons on the map.

I don't like multiboxing, too much effort. If I do, it's usually for personal benefit and I involve no one else, such as grinding PvP zone badges (I don't think i've even seen 5 other people in any PvP zone since I came back, let alone 50). I also drag out my multibox frequently to deal with Army of Me attempts on some characters; running that mission solo with a character running a support set is hell.

It would be nice if we could convert threads up to Empyrean Merits to send them to alts but that would probably make building incarnate powers even easier to get then they already are given that Rare and Very Rare components can be bought with Empys.
