Can we get a definition of poor tastes pls
-
You can now maintain mez protection and a full range of movement speed by just running Rooted but not Granite Armor. So that’s all you have to do if you want to move quickly as a Stone Armor.
-
Corrosive Enzymes, Wild Growth, Wild Bastion, and Overgrowth are all never-skip status. Skip other ones if you need to.
-
It might just be that people are primarily favoring corruptors for team pvp where vigilance is no longer leveling the playing field at all.
-
Corruptors are, on average, definitely regarded as more useful than Defenders in PvP. Be nice if someone could comment on that and why.
-
But that’d literally be an inevitable feature of randomness... gonna need more than a tiny handful presenting highly limited anecdotes.
-
I’m not aware of that because it sounds false (slash unsupported at best).
-
When I put 6 procs in Irradiated Ground on my Bio/Rad tanker, it was immediately crystal clear I had messed up on my Rad/Fire brute build. I’d say that’s the big difference maker between Rad/ vs Spines/, BUT also the feature most likely to be nerfed. So having Spines/ on standby is still likely to win one day.

Why not give all melee AT’s scrapper damage modifiers, tanker mitigation modifiers, and stalker controlled crits? It’s a straight buff. Do you review your own thoughts before posting?

I don’t think you understand what the “creep” portion of “power creep” means. It refers to something that becomes a problem incrementally, not some overnight implosion of a game. So this is a straw man. Creep is also an engineering term describing how a structure fails due to very gradual deflection over a long period of time. You also mentioned giving Defenders Scourge etc, so acting like I was only criticizing the multipliers proposal is called moving the goalposts. All around shoddy performance tbh.
-
The supply vs demand dynamic breaks down a bit for goods deemed essential no matter what. So is it possible this wouldn’t help because ATO’s are like cigarettes? Serious novice economics question.
-
So just make sure there’s power creep in every dimension possible, sure 😉
-
Oh yeah that’s a chill one

You mean to tell me you have both Rune of Protection and Fold Space on a Shieldy? Pretty adventurous ballsy building, respect. Fold Space failing on +4 bosses depresses me too much. Bit masochistic when it comes to min/max thinking, but my favorite animation is the Total Focus / Thunderstrike / Tremor / Defibrillate one.

It’s hard to imagine Invuln not being overtuned if it actually had a T9 as good as Icy Bastion or Moment of Glory. (I pick those two because they specifically have no crash AND they ONLY focus on filling the sets’ gaps). The only time I have died so far on my Invuln tanker is when I decided to stand still in the falling swords in Apex the entire time. I got a little excited and cocky when I wasn’t dying, then suddenly splat. I said something to the effect of “that damage patch scales up a tad over time huh?” and teammates just said “smh”. They might be able to mitigate the crash a little, but getting much more godly than you can already be with invuln is probably out of the question. I wonder if it wouldn’t be too unreasonable to add psi resistance to Unstoppable in the event that it’s still going to have a crash? Seems like impenetrable godmode is within reason if the crash stays as is.

Maybe, but this is going to be too radical a change to be within the scope of reality.

Rad/Fire or Spines/Fire brutes for active+afk farming. Irradiated Ground may be a victim of the Aprocalypse so beware. Any /Fire brute for mainly afk farming. I have the two above plus Ice/, Fire/, and Dark/. Ice/Fire or Fire/Fire blasters for active but no afk farming. Find my Fire/Kin troller pretty slow compared to those, wouldn’t recommend it. Plant/Kin might be better. Plant dominator might be as fast though. Got the idea from a Plant/Fire but mine’s a Plant/Psy. Pretty damn fast at meteor. All capable of capped Fire defense and nearly capped Fire resistance. Only other option I might try for fire farming is a Fire/Kin/Fire corruptor, just to see.
-
The Aprocalypse will bulldoze so many of my builds 😕

You guys are probably right. There’s probably a reason I have like 16 level 50 defenders vs like 5 level 50 corruptors (similarly have about 3-4 non-/fire brutes vs 8 tankers). And some of those defenders feel like they do mini-blaster damage, like my rad/rad with nothing but proc bombs.
-
Eh, I’m not positive it’s the same issue because it’s been demonstrated that Brutes still do more damage, just not as much more as the mitigation gap implies. I don’t know that such in depth testing has been done for corruptors vs defenders. It feels pretty clear to me that corruptor damage comes out on top, but I couldn’t speak to the margin over defenders. The tanker issue is also a little different because, unlike defenders vs corruptors, you’d rarely slot tanker armors like you would for a brute. You get tons of slotting freedom on tankers because you hit caps way sooner. This is kind of the case for my Time/Water vs my Fire/Time, but not so much the case for any others.
-
I typically make my ice/ and fire/ toons corruptors more often than not because rains seem like the main exception to scourge only showing up often as kill shots. That said, I don’t really see corruptors needing a damage buff.

what did the great server crash of 2021 inspire you to do?

My cat and I have persistent disagreements about the touching rules. He definitely vacillates on what’s permissible. I don’t know if my wounds were intended as play. -
Why would anyone play a defender with a debuff set if corruptors do it just as well with better damage? I think they’re just fine as is. You can play either AT depending on if you want more damage vs more support.
