Please note before I post my actual response that I am not against the OP. (Though the Vahzilok parts duffel may be too macabre as stated. That is tempered with the Wicker Basket 2 costume item's dangling arm.) More options is a good thing and the OP has my support. Now on to my actual post. While you wait for the possible additions, you may try using the method I use for the same thing. I use a re-colored school backpack as my adventurer's backpack or my soldier's field pack. For the strap(s), I use either Bandolier 1 or 3, Ring Strap, or Resistance Strap. (If I'm going for an armored adventurer/soldier style look, then I simply use an armor chest detail with the backpack forming the back.) (Edit: If you use a black or dark grey on the bandoliers, the bullets partially sort of disappear, giving the bandolier more of a ribbed or studded band across the chest look.)

Agreed with @UltraAlt. The invention tables are currently placed in thematic locations. And there are multiple ways to access them without having to add more just for the sake of adding more. If you craft enough, then you won't even need to go to a crafting table, you will get a power to summon one directly to you.

Player Feedback Request: Protector of Paragon City

Yes you can. Either Positron 1 and 2 or Old Positron. I think you can also choose between Penelope Yin or Sister Psyche. -

Sorry @Sakura Tenshi, I thought your OP was meant in earnest but apparently I'm supposed to consider everything a joke. So apparently I missed your punch line. Went right over my head. Sarcasm aside, especially since it was not actually aimed at you, I apologize for derailing your thread with my poor attempt at humor. (And also using your OP as a counter to assuming everything is a joke.) I'll drop off the thread now. -

Given lack of context such as vocal tone, facial expression, and body language? Many times, yes. -

Superscience overcomes all. Or at least it should. I guess you would rather take my post as serious rather than the humor it was meant as seeing as how you cut out the emojis that signify it was done as a joke. -

You really should give the Vahzilok more credit. Radiation and dark are very effective. Fire is the natural enemy of undead, even scientifically made ones. Earth/stone probably makes them think too much of the graves they should be in. Electricity may harm their control implants. And no one really wants to be cold. 😜😃 -
Player Feedback Request: Protector of Paragon City
Rudra replied to Dev Unitas's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Given my druthers, I would choose option 2. Players having more choice in their character progression/means of badge attainment is always a good thing. However, it also makes more sense to simply replace a set mission badge requirement with another set mission badge requirement. For starters, because as already stated, it makes it much easier to give guidance for someone trying to get the badge. Looking at the badge window and seeing "Obtain this badge by earning the following" is both simpler to fit in the box and understand than "Obtain this badge by earning the following and some of these other following". Option 2 caters more to experienced players' personal character development goals, but option 1 is far easier universally to deal with. (And by universally I mean for you as a dev to implement and us as players to understand from the in game provided data without having to search guides and wikis to figure out.) (So I guess that makes my opinion a wash. Sorry.) -
Yes, there is. To be able to do so, there would need to be animations for it, and there aren't. And for there to be animations made to let us do so, would require a new animation for every power in the game for every direction of movement including jumping directions. (Edit: That is also why you can't fight while using the rocket board or flying carpet but you can with a jetpack. No fighting animations exist for the former and the latter just needs regular flight animations.)

Why would you want that? If it worked, you would heal your allies and then immediately harm them. Talk about friendly fire. (Healing Aura does not target enemies. So if it had a damage proc, the proc would either do nothing at all or it would have a chance to damage friendlies.) (Edit: I'd swear we already had this discussion in another thread....)

Super strength: interacting with environment, i.e, lifting
Rudra replied to Rhale's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Probably the best way to deal with an enemy knocked through a closed door that the player can't open is if the character has Teleport Target and already had the enemy targeted or the character has Fold Space. Then the target can be brought back to where they can be fought. All this is a tangent to the OP anyway, but yeah, there are work arounds if the character has the correct powers. -
Super strength: interacting with environment, i.e, lifting
Rudra replied to Rhale's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
If ground AoEs can't, and I don't know if they can or not, then the teleport attacks can't either. At least as far as Lightning Rod goes. Because it is targeted at a spot on the ground, not a selected target. -
Just include 3 variants for it. A skeleton bird, cyborg bird, and robot bird. Though I guess we can forego the cyborg one and just stick to the robot. After all, skeletal birds for undead pirates and robot birds for cartoon sci-fi pirates are fairly common tropes.

In my case, the sudden buff surprises me and gives me the impression that the player buffing me thinks I can't manage on my own. I know that is not his/her/their intent, but oftentimes it feels that way. (That's also why if I see a PC struggling fighting on a zone map and heal them, the first thing I do after is send the player an apology to inform him/her/them that I was not trying to imply anything with the heal and hope (s)he/they has a good day.) However, if I am buffed randomly by a passing player, after the moment of shock passes, I just click the buff and then cancel it. Edit: I should add that I don't think all drive-by buffs are bad. If I'm fighting on a zone map and the fight goes sideways because the game decides I shouldn't be allowed to hit except on Streakbreaker despite a 95% chance to hit and I shouldn't be allowed to avoid anything despite a 45% defense, and suddenly I find myself ablaze, iced over, bubbled, or buffed any other way; when the fight is over, I thank the person that gave the drive-by buff. Either by PM if I saw the character name or in broadcast as a to whom it may concern if I have no clue who helped me. Drive-by buffing me while I'm standing nowhere near anything though hits me up the head with a "what the hell" reaction. (Which is why if for some reason the devs decide to implement the OP, I won't be using it. Drive-by buffs are definitely appreciated when needed. Only when needed though.)

I would expect that to be a bug report waiting to happen.

I appreciate the idea, but this is still a feedback thread. Not meant for suggestions. I hope you understand that with my having said that already for the 'give me more means of getting patrol xp' suggestion(s) earlier, I can't not say the same thing to you even though your suggestion would benefit me. So thank you for the idea, but not the thread for it.

That was my intent. Thanks. I don't remember it? Sorry? Anyway, water under the bridge. We're good.

Super strength: interacting with environment, i.e, lifting
Rudra replied to Rhale's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
So would there now be two f those cars? The one actually part of the map and the one you are throwing that will disappear as it shatters into little rock shards after? -
There is an inherent assumption when gift giving that the person wants it. If that person has to accept it, then it isn't a gift, it is a demand/imposition. Like my boss can "gift" me more work hours despite not being paid by the hour. That isn't a gift. That is an imposition/requirement. When looking at the definition of a gift, it is exactly what the definition says. Something given to another freely. Because it is assumed the gift will be accepted. It only looks at one side. Edit yet again: Here's a better example. Someone decides to gift me with a puppy. There is no way someone can be upset about that, right? I'm not being told I have to give anything in exchange, and the puppy is being gifted with the sole purpose of making me happy. However, if I can't refuse the puppy, then now I have to pay the $250 pet deposit with my landlord, find additional funds to feed the puppy every day instead of just myself, procure bedding and bowls for the puppy, invest time cleaning up after the puppy every day, house train the puppy, cordon off part of my small apartment to keep the puppy from ruining anything, and overall change my schedule to look after the puppy. But hey, despite my lack of funds to even feed myself on occasion, and all the requirements of raising a puppy, I should gratefully accept the puppy because it is a gift, right? Wrong. And if I can't refuse said puppy for not having the means to look after him/her, then I haven't been given a gift regardless of the gifter's intent, now I have a burden that I have to find a suitable home for. (And all that is ignoring that I have apparently developed an allergy to dog fur.) (Funny part about this example? It happened. And I refused the puppy. And my friends, after asking me why, accepted my refusal. Fortunately, they had not yet bought the puppy because they had wanted me to pick out the one I wanted. And amazing thing about that refusal given this discussion? No one thought it was rude.) And why did they give you a gift receipt? So if the person doesn't want it, they can take that gift receipt, refuse the gift, and exchange it for something they do want. (Edit: You even say as much in your post with "in case the person didn't like it". So you blew your own argument apart.) (Edit again: And now we are on a different derailment, arguing what constitutes a gift.)

Base Teleporters and the Enter-Base-With-Passcode Slash Command
Rudra replied to sbloyd's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Yeah, that was changed quite some time ago. Because the command was apparently never meant to be available to players, but we were using it, so it got reduced to just portal proximity use. Or you can use the base teleporter power from START and use it there. -
Because suggestions are not part of this feedback thread. It's not the same thing. This feedback thread was a statement of personal opinion about a change that had already been applied by the devs, not a request for something to be added or changed. And asking for more ways to get patrol xp is a suggestion/request for something the game does not already have, the super inspirations that grant patrol xp, as opposed to this thread which was all about feedback about something already in the game. Because making a suggestion for something new in a feedback thread about something that already exists/was implemented is a derailment of the thread. Especially when done on a thread that has been dead for 15 months before a spambot necro'ed the thread trying to just run off the thread title rather than what the OP said. So if you want to give feedback on the change of explores from xp to patrol xp at an inflated rate as compared to the original regular xp or if you want to give feedback on the OP itself and its negative view of said change, then that post belongs on this feedback thread. Asking for something new does not however.
