issue 27 Focused Feedback: Costumes
twozerofoxtrot replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Thank you @Marbing for your work on the new patterns. And to keep this post complaint: I've tested all the patterns on female and male bodies and haven't seen any discrepancies with them. Not doing huge in silent protest until we get female huge (and not because I'm lazy). -
issue 27 Focused Feedback: Sonic Assault

Is this description for Earsplitter WAI? Only +1 Mag from Dom being active vice +3? Double Mag seems to be the rule elsewhere in this set (and across Dom powers in general to the best of my knowledge). -

One confusing thing I recently noticed: Enfeebling Lullaby has it's damage listed as "Moderate" when the damage is lower than Dreadful Discord, which is listed as "Minor." Perhaps the descriptions on these two powers should be switched in that regard? -
issue 27 Focused Feedback: Symphony Control

I enjoy this set design. It comes off to me as something that meshes well with the current state of rapid-paced team play. My take thusfar is that it'll offer something (besides Plant and Fire) to help shore up Controllers in relation to Doms in those circumstances, which I am assuming was the intent. Specific thoughts: - Thank you for the Confuse proc bomb. I love it. Seems more useful on a Controller, though that's a common theme. - Lowering the cooldowns on the pet's echoed powers would help reduce confusion as to it's utility. Glad to see this is coming in the next build. - All of the cones have the same dimensions, save Aria. Any chance we could make this universal? Or even just extend Aria's radius out to 70? As of right now it's a bit awkward if I want to set up Containment at lower levels (IE: Aria into Discord), or for other powers in a rapid succession of mob groups (Chant can only recharge so fast). There might be some underlying design philosophy that is driving the difference that I'm not read in on, but if not having universal cone dimensions throughout would make both playing and slotting less cumbersome. -

How are you guys "adding" Badge Missions for those two standalone missions... But the D-Sync mission from Golden Roller that led to the events of Dr. Aeon remains badgeless? -
Yes but now you can have hippy shakes for your dudes, too! Hippy shakes for everyone!

Bump How'd we get Sonic Manip before this (and Super Strength Manip smh)?

Is defeat just an inconvenience?

Just embarrassment. Regularly deleting characters is a pastime so again, I'd just be embarrassed more than anything. -

This. This is what every fire farm character does. It's there. Our character are doing it. Without us. -

BLUF: This isn't a problem per say. I'm only raising it for Dev awareness as a matter of record. Regarding the Epidemiologist badge, while the badge tracker on Beta seems to be picking up kills from the Story Arc missions and TFs (Graveyard Shift, Freakish Lab, Posi 1 & 2), for some reason the tracker that's currently on live but hidden isn't picking up 2 kills from Graveyard Shift: Grey Matter and Salamander. I've run the arc about 3 or 4 times on Live now, with variations on clearing the bar fight mission (just kill the two bosses, complete the mission objective only, let them kill each other without interfering, clear the whole map), and after each one, I've copied a fresh version of my character onto Beta to see if the tracker updated there. It didn't. Everything else is recorded by the hidden kill tracker as normal. This should not really be an issue as the tracker on Beta itself is recording these kills. But just in case there is some strangeness later when Pg3 goes live, this might hopefully be a useful bookmark to reflect on. -
Focused Feedback: Badges

I know I've seen it happen before but for the life of me can't figure out where. I sort of thought it might be tied to ASF's 5 Column Nictus ripple, but after slaughtering a few baddies there and not seeing any transformations (well, on normal mode) I'm starting to question that. -

Not sure if already reported, but Sonic Nade (at least on Mission 4) needs to have it's InfoTab description fixed. -

At some point between the beginning of Mission 2 and end of Mission 3 I got credit for a Vanguard Sword kill for the new badge. I rushed to the end of both, with the exception of downing all the contestants at the beginning of 2, so I'm not sure wherein there is a Vanguard? Maybe Flambeaux is flagged as one? Just reporting in case it's a bug. Not exactly farmable and minor, but just in case this isn't WAI. -

Unfortunately they do not Yes, the one to get Gyrfalcon, but these also don't count. After running around bullying lycanthropes, I'm starting to think that they have to specifically be 5th Column soldiers that undergo a transformation into Werewolves. -
Just thinking about a Rad Melee/Rad Emission or a SS/Kin gives me goosebumps.

But..... don't to knock it out just yet. Doesn't look like the kill tracker is running on Live. Scanned the Defeats section as well. Nothing. -

This. This is the one you want for the Call of the Void Badge. The Story Arc is Stolen Power; level 50 Blueside Ouro. Mission 1: Find the glowy. Might need to kill Arachnos leader as well, I did along the way. Mission 2: Find Ghost Widow and have a chat about politics. Click the glowy after. Mission 3: Set to -1/8 and click the glowy. In 5/5 missions it was in the westmost room, and went like this: SOUND WARNING NwrD8P1 - Imgur.mp4 Clear the ambush and logout to reset, repeat. It's a kill-all so you won't trigger an accidental mission complete. -
Interface (Incarnate Power) vagaries
twozerofoxtrot replied to Scarlet Shocker's topic in General Discussion
Placta hit all the important stuff but here's a few answers and a bit extra. The Interface will proc off an AoE much like a Damage Proc IO would, with individual rolls against each target hit for application of effects. Speaking of which, the damage components roll to hit not only on the power cast (whatever it is you're casting on the enemy), but also *on each tick thereafter* to see if it will keep doing damage. So essentially the DOTs can self-cancel randomly. Finally just know that your pets, if you have any, will apply your interface effects in the enemy as well. -
Poll: Master of Eden, Hydra & Market Crash badges
twozerofoxtrot replied to Faultline's topic in Open Beta Testing
Stupid question but is there a solid way to differentiate the Rikti Weapon temp powers within Hydra Trial from the rest of the temp powers so they don't get locked out somehow? Or is that part of the challenge? 🤔 -
I've only done it for two characters but I used Virtueverse until FBSA started up. It was easy enough to migrate by copy and paste, with a few adjustments. I really like how Michiyo lets us host files on FBSA. I'm too unreliable a player to go seeking connections for RP, or even to join RP SGs. I just sort of embrace RP casually here and there in teams and when I'm tabbed out from the Pocket D parking lot.

Focused Feedback: Seismic Blast
twozerofoxtrot replied to Booper's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Overall thoughts on the set to offer some counters to popular opinion: I like the distinct lack of rock throwing. I think this makes sense for an earth-based power, as seen in a lot of contemporary animation like Avatar or Invincible. I wouldn't mine one other power (other than Rock Shards) having a toss or "levitate and throw" similar to Grav doms do, but with rocks, but overall I'm happy with how stuff is animating. I will agree that the sheer size of some of the effects obscuring everything is a bit much. That said, they animate and fade really fast so it's not cripplingly obstructive. Speaking of Rock Shards, it feels like the runt of the litter. It's currently in my kit as 1) a set mule, 2) a spender, and 3) some AoE soft CC. Considering that all three of those are somewhat ubiquitous in the set overall, it feels like it doesn't have a strong role. I'd echo any comment that says Rock Shards needs it's damage adjusted slightly upward, perhaps significantly upward when empowered. Right now it's sort of like an expanded tickle for drawing agro I don't want; that's probably not the intent. I love the long durations on Upthrust and Meteor. I love them. The ability to combo their hits to wipe out or significantly damage a +4/8 group is amazing. As for corpse blasting, my solution has been to dive the piles before using Upthrust (since the delay is in the travel time and nothing else) and holding Meteor for big engagements like boss fights (when in teams). Due to the baked-in survivability of Seismic Shockwaves, diving in for Upthrust (in teams) is very doable. Frankly I'm concerned that if Meteor's flash-to-bang time is lowered, it will reduce the overall damage as part of a formula. I'm likely in the minority but if my assumption is correct I'd rather keep it as it is with it's stupendous effects. Agree with putting a crosshairs icon over the Tombstone in the eponymous power's icon. I sort of like the unique detail but the crosshairs will help it stand out as a snipe better. Keep the meteor icon exactly as is. It's a distinctly unique nuke with it's "hang time" component and needs to be identified as such. The combination of -Def and and KD provide immense utility, even before factoring in procs. I think this is getting overlooked in conversations about the efficacy of the set. Rad is accused of being anemic, and Energy is accused of being disruptive. Seismic seems to do better in both aspects, while also combining these useful secondary effects. I'm very pleased with it as a result. -
Focused Feedback: Seismic Blast
twozerofoxtrot replied to Booper's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Despite really enjoying the set tremendously, this part largely flies well under the radar for me. At best I happen to notice that Shards is empowered and I use it as a spender. At worst it throws off my Build Up/Seismic buffs identical CDs. Minor but annoying. Popup text ala Critical Strikes proc to let me know it's up for spending would be a nice feature to have. -
Focused Feedback: Earth Manipulation

So the numbers in the CombatNumbers panel are constantly in flux, so it's probably that. My undereducated guess is that Mud Bath is a modified Mud Pots power, and that despite the fact that the damage component was pruned off is still giving off Defiance values... but not sure why because in the screen I shared, I wasn't next to any enemies, IE- there was no reason Defiance should have been building +Dmg even if my guess is correct.
