Going to my buddy Dave’s home during Beta play and having him introduce me to CoH. I created a toon and hearing the fan fair music for the first time ever was incredible. My buddy passed away just before HC launched. He would have loved the fact the game is public again. The funniest memory I have was the first time I entered Crey’s Folly and punched Rikti Monkey. To my surprise, due to not having limitations in KB, he flew half way across the map. Everyone on my team blew up with laughter. The biggest “awe” moment was the first time I saw a Tank aggro the entire map in the Woodsman Trial. Watching the Tank run into one of the Volcano pits and the XP and INF numbers just tick off as every baddie on the map follows to their doom.

There are some unusual things that happen with this mish from time to time. If I had to guess a bomb started blinking again due to lag, after you clicked it, saw it was disarmed, and moved on. Just my guess.

1) wouldn’t changes like those suggested bring back lower level grind? 2) todays game is designed to allow the player to fly past the first 20 levels in a few hours. (Or less)

This bug goes back to live. Comes and goes for some reason.

Back in the before times, yes. Now, not so much.

The only time that ever worked was after I was dead and couldn’t use it anymore.

I hunt GMs almost exclusively on Excelsior. I shout out on multiple channels before attacking the GMs, as others on the server do too. If I had to give it an average I’d say 1 out 100 GMs are attacked before everyone gets in zone. Even then the game is set up to give you credit even if someone else starts the fight. The only way your claim holds a tiny bit of water is if you are an extremely low level toon with no travel powers or temps. The time it would take for you to go from say AP to KR may possibly be longer than the time it takes to destroy the GM for example. The game has travel short cuts if this is the case, you may want to invest the time in gaining this travel power.

Pretty sure that’s about how long Romy took to take down on live. So this may be correct.

Does the camera change direction also? Or, is the toon just running backwards all of a sudden with the camera still facing in the direction the toon was originally running? If the camera changes direction it may be a mouse problem. The Laser may be failing or the mouse is randomly preforming a diagnostic in the middle of gameplay.

Could Grant Cover from other Cim Traitors be affecting the outcome?

Am I mistaken about DirectX not being supported by Windows 11 and the game using DirectX to run? It used to be that you had to DL DirectX for Windows 11 to run CoH. The part about using the Homecoming Launcher is always suggested however. Tequila will be discontinued sometime in the future.

It constantly amazes me how you can drop some deep thoughtful knowledge and then come off so incredibly rude and or arrogant in the next post I read from you. The OP asked a question. You took it as a “bossy.” Then you responded to him in the exact same way, “bossy.” @Rudra I value your comments and insights. However, policing how people phrase questions…? Not everyone is as eloquent or thoughtful in phrasing questions or answers as you are capable of. Again this isn’t about your opinion or insights, those are usually educational. It’s all about response and tone.

You’re doing exactly what you are accusing the OP of doing.

Just throwing this out there. Maybe do something like the PvP auto slot rule. If you choose to take the 500+ character chat option that toon will only ever be able to exist in PvP.

AVs are immune to many things.

I’m pretty sure the sorting of the characters is kept locally on your computer. You should be able to see that in your game folder.

IAWTP, there has been TWO times in the last 19 years that I would have liked to have had more then 500 characters.

In the area of New Connaught, (three occasions/weeks apart), I have run into even coning baddies. I'm lvl 50 and White and Yellow Fir Bolg are walking around randomly. Maybe they are left over from a Eochai spawn? On one occasion they didn't even drop XP or INF. It's kinda weird. It's the opposite end of the War of the Vaile's so I'm not sure why they would be spawning at such a high lvl.

War Witch is a multidimensional character so being in multiple places at once makes sense.

You out-leveled the contact. Some contacts can be reacquired in Ouroborus after you out-level them.
