  1. How much easier than typing /ah can you actually get?
  2. In honor of Daylight Savings Time...
  3. And... what else would you expect them to be? I mean, I wouldn't expect them to be as conservative as the folks who programmed the Space Shuttle... But they're dealing with complex code (that's old spaghetti and poorly documented) and the leisure time of thousands of users. If they screw something up, they've wasted the time and energy of a whole bunch of people. (BTDT. That's a bigger psychological burden than many people realize.) A bunch of people they depend on to pony up cash on last Saturday of the month to keep the bills paid and the light on. Would implementing tons of new shiny things to attract the minority of magpies be beneficial? Would the numbers go up if they did so? Possibly. But, at least for the moment, the numbers tell a different story. The numbers make it unarguably clear that what the community at large values above all else is stability, predictability, and professionalism. Conspiracy theories need not apply.
  4. Agreed, and sounds reasonable.
  5. Very reasonable. But a lot of work for the Dev team.
  6. That's the whole point.
  7. Controllers, yeah. Tanker... are you high? Or do you have an exceptionally low "pain" tolerance? (And that's setting aside the whole apples-and-oranges thing.) A tanker will never solo like a scrapper or brute, but it's light years ahead of a 'troller or 'fender.
  8. This, ten billion percent.
  9. Myself, I would prefer smaller but deadlier spawns as an option.
  10. Kirito and Asuna are totally scrappers...
  11. Some folks like to be useful to the community and actively provide help to those who ask. That is why we don't mute or remove the Help channel. And that's also why I don't care for it being an anything goes chat channel - because my attention is constantly pulled away by inane noise because I have to read what pops up to see if it's a request for help only to find that it's a pair of idiots discussing their favorite TV show. That's the central problem with the Help channel being used as an anything goes chat channel, a small number of self centered idiots are consuming the attention (and screen space) of everyone monitoring the channel.
  12. Maybe for you... It's not clear that's true for everyone. (It's certainly not all that easy for me.)
  13. Yup. The storyline was leading up to the Coming Storm - the Battalion. They were what Incarnates were intended to fight.
  14. It's pretty simply to understand, and blatantly obvious to anyone who spends even a tenth of second intelligently examining the current pools: There's a mix of powers, some more desirable than others as well as mix of powers between pools that requires the player to make intelligent choices of his limited power and power pool choices. You've essentially created Epic level pools and proposed making them available as a normal power pool. Seen by the min-maxers as "bad, a waste, a power tax" isn't the same as a power actually being "bad, a waste, a power tax". Min-maxers generally don't care for intelligent game design.
  15. For all intents and purposes, it's actually all but indistinguishable from round 1 as it suffers from the same flaw - power creep due to having all advantages, and no disadvantages. Back to the drawing board.
  16. o.0 I don't know of any level 20 toons that have Incarnate abilities. Or 30. Or 40... Or, to put it another way, there's more to the game than post-50.
  17. The original version of Defiance didn't help matters any - because it encouraged Blasters to get in close and operate right at the red line.
  18. Dr. Vahzilok dresses as Dr. Frank-N-Furter - after all: "in just seven days, oh, baby I can make you a man".
  19. Unless it's been posted in the last few days, I can't see where it matters if it's already been posted. This is a free form, stream of consciousness kinda thing.
  20. *All*? /jranger unless applied with care - otherwise folks could potentially be running into AV's in missions as far down as single digit levels, and certainly in their teens. Frostie, for example, is hard enough as it is. I don't even want to face him as an AV at level 9!
  21. I had that happen the other night with the Banner event... I just opened my Missions tab and kept track that way.
  22. There was a very visible change - Tequila downloaded something, and my anti-virus tripped because a Homecoming file had been changed. Patch notes are how we know that the change was official.
