I sometimes get the impression that there's a lot of people who think the entire City (mission doors, contacts, etc...) should be roughly 1/4-1/3 the size of Ouroboros. Otherwise, yeah, I agree. It simply doesn't take that long to traverse to the City.
Generally, the team doesn't have much choice in the matter as it's the star holder who sets the diff. And many do so without consulting the team.
And there's a lot of folks on Homecoming who believe that if you're not maxing the diff level, you're Doing It Wrong.
I'm still [theoretically] one of the moderators of a Usenet group... But we (the moderator team) gave up over a decade ago as there were hundreds of spam and troll posts for every legitimate post.
Indeed. r/bookbinding and r/icecreamery are both pretty laid back and helpful. It's fun to hang out in r/whatanime and help ID anime people are looking for. It's *amazing* to hang out in r/whereisthis and watch people help find locations from the tiniest damm clues. (I once found a location for someone because I'm a railfan and recognized the unusual model of locomotive pulling an excursion train.) Etc... etc...
Yeah, there's subs that are cesspits - but they're not the whole of Reddit. Not by a long shot.
Unlike other servers, HC has no official presence on r/cityofheroes. The haters and the mods rather inconsistent enforcement of the "no server drama" rule as well as general reddiquette are why.
There are no fewer than five alignments in the game (more depending on how granular you want to be Goldside).
One of the things everyone has to do when they join a new community is learn to sling the lingo. And saving them from learning this one teeny bit isn't actually all that useful.
Sure, the ability to go underwater was introduced in whatever Issue Cimerora was introduced. The problem is likely that every single body of water in the game would have to be entirely redone (as the underwater landscape almost certainly doesn't exist) in order to enable this functionality globally.
The increased speed is noticeable and appreciated. The appearance of "No History Found" is greatly reduced, but not eliminated.
I did not encounter the lag spike noted by @strix_.
Which is exactly the point of the bio window, a quick introduction and summary of your character. It's not intended for short stories, let alone novels.
Truthfully, I've never seen the movie (and now I'm disinclined to look) so I have no idea what you're talking about... 🙂
I do have a song stuck in my head, but it's this one:
Hunting Council in Steel has been an exercise in extreme frustration ever since the return of the 5th Column... as spawns of 5th replaced practically every spawn of Council.
