  1. If/when the "real" servers go down I might run my own personal one just for fun. Only reason I'm not doing it now is because I'd just cheat my way to infamy... which is fun for testing but devalues my experience. Much prefer to play with other people around. I'm not so much a loner, just want to play at my speed without the drama of teaming... so I not only play solo, I bring the rest of the team (well two more). 😄
  2. I doubt there would be many takers (outside of people who already know/love CoX) for a fantasy MMO using a very dated game engine, even if the IP used was something that is both very popular and not already available somewhere else. Because face it while we do have a great game it wouldn't work well in a fantasy setting without a massive overhaul. Yes we have a great costume creator, but when you're equiping armour/weapons/etc, enhancements won't really cut it. Personally I enjoy this game because it isn't fantasy, there are plenty of options for fantasy even avoiding WoW. Non-Fantasy seems much harder to find.
  3. I'm doing that by outputting my character spreadsheet into the correct format, main issue is that the playerslot.txt only stores character name and position (well account and shard too), so whatever you do you have to have some sort of external information added to make it sort usefully, unless you just want alphabetic sorting.
  4. Because /macro_image is a thing, it'd be nice if there were some generic icons that we can use that aren't tied to a specific power/set/AT/etc. Ideally these icons would be things like alphanumeric symbols, in game symbols, on and off icons... that sort of thing. Better yet they can be changed by the users (with overrides). I have quite a lot of macros that use the Icon of the power the represent, while I can right click (or in some cases mouse over) the icon to see which is a macro and which a power. It'd be nice if there were some (optional) in game method to distinguish Macro Icons from Power icons. I think a dashed ring would be ideal. Like the auto/snipe/power activating ring but dashed (so not a solid line).
  5. Do it. And give Granite an inherent (server tray style) short range teleport. (Plus a min FX version...)
  6. It's something that I would use but I don't think it's a good idea. Major issue would be that unless it functions like the Vault Reserve (for the items you mentioned) you'd still need to remember to put things into it. And if it just conflated all your existing storage (for things that can be traded) then people would just massively inflate their storage areas by adding many mules. Equally if you place a hard limit on how much space you have in total there will always be people who need more. What I would suggest instead is to make a shared account wallet that only stores "currency" items. Make the various items that are currently salvage (Boosters, Catalysts, Enhancers) or Merits into currency items. Then improve the email system so you can send stacks and/or multiple items. Including everything that can be traded or sent to your own global plus Incarnate Salvage. And while they're at it increase the amount of Inf an account can hold a lot more than 2 billion (not sure why there is that limit, seems a rather arbitrary figure). Then you don't have to have an arbitrary limit to how much you can store per account. People won't need to spam mule accounts to improve their overall storage, but you can still have characters that have their own storage.
  7. Teleport can be used in Combat. It would be nice if it had less animation time.
  8. You could also remove the registry key (assuming Windows) at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Cryptic\CoH". Personally I'd probably try removing that before uninstalling, though that will depend on your PC/Connection. Assuming you're running windows: ((And you know what you're doing, messing with the registry without a clue can mess up your PC.)) Hit Windows+R > Type in the box that pops up: Regedit then hit enter/click okay. When the User Account Popup appears hit Yes. Press CTRL+F (or click Edit > Find... Type the key you want to find: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Cryptic\CoH ((This can take a while.)) You can also paste the above key into the box immediately below the menu bar (where it will probably say "Computer") And press enter. The main window should now have a computer icon with a load of little folder icons below it. eg: Right Click the "folder" named CoH and hit rename (you can delete but if you mess up it's harder to get it back (and you're on your own to do so...), name it CoH-Old (or something). Exit from regedit. Relaunch the game. The game will make a new copy of this registry key from scratch using the absolute defaults. Some of the settings (I think) only appear when you have customised their options in the game and many/most of the options are sound/video options from within the game.
  9. I managed to lodge Frostfire's head into a wall back when Frostfire was a right of passage, made him really easy to defeat. 😄 It's also great for unsticking mobs that get stuck in walls on the large (Tunnels of the Trolls style) Cave maps.
  10. Spent more time playing Kinetics than any other set, and I still love it. All of it, even Repel. 😄
  11. I love the idea of a Healing Fulcrum Shift, Small PBAoE heals around enemies from a Targeted AoE plus a larger PBAoE with some larger heal from the player. Isn't there a chain heal in an electricity set somewhere already?
  12. I probably wouldn't use it much 'cos I hate the Email system... but if that ever gets fixed (either to make it work properly (or well) through slash commands or so I can send more than a single item at a time) I would.
  13. I've had the failure issue but never lost the tab... you could try removing all the salvage items from the character relog and then pick them back up. I only had three salvage items when I had my fail and they vanished until I relogged. (I tried that as the last thing to do before coming here and asking). I wonder if the system for some reason cannot see them salvage items because it "thinks" that they have been used, hiding the unused ones as well. In my case once I relogged (actually shut game down, slept the night and relaunched the next day) The tab and salvage items were all present. (So when I say the tab wasn't missing it wasn't there but I couldn't see the salavage items in my inventory either, and the tab isn't there when they aren't...) 😕 If not I'm no further help to you. 😞
  14. I also have the old theme to atlas park in my general playlist... That brings back so many memories... 😄
  15. With super Inspirations the solution to that would be to exclude small insps from the conversion. When there were only three ranks of insps it didn't really make sense with four it does. Also make it possible to craft/change team, dual and dual team insps would be great. (And it'd be nice to specifically stop some dual and team from dropping.)
  16. Or use a base TP (cheaper too).
  17. Or it became the norm rather than the exception. More interesting missions would be good.
  18. Any disabled drops recipes or insps mean you don't get that drop, it's literally the same as if it dropped but you deleted it as soon as it landed in your tray. Only difference between insps and recipes is there is a badge for each tier of recipe (well common and uncommon, never actually disabled rare/very rare). Range & Absorb would both be useful, I could see the use for a debuff resistance/defence Insp too. What I'd like to see is the up time for larger sizes be increased, especially super (which cost a lot).
  19. What would the advantages be to actually turn incarnate XP off though? You only use it to unlock the incarnate slots. Does it reduce normal XP/Inf gain while you get it? I'm all for more options, I just don't understand the need for it.
  20. Do the characters missing the convert tab actually have the convert salvage item?
  21. Realistically I'd imagine if something like this was added they'd leave the mez values alone and reduce/remove the damage. Personally I don't really see the need, you can build very controllery MMs */Dark/Ghost Widow (forget what her patron power pool is called), how I played mine back on live, think you end up with two holds and an immobilise, plus slows/debuffs. I think part of the fun in this game is coming up with solutions to problems. If a new AT is needed it should be to address a hole in what we already have not just to make some play styles more attractive.
  22. For all I care two tins and a bit of string. Just get rid of the pointless make work. Not done missions in Cimeroa in an age (not since it was added pretty much) but don't you get the option to "phone" your ancient roman mission giver?
  23. Because that makes sense. You know like 99% of all the other mission arc contacts. Just instead of having us run all over to ask someone who we have already been introduced to (and have contact details for), remove that step from mission arcs. It's a time waster, which if you're trying to make people play for longer and consequently pay more (to play) is fine. That's no longer the case. There are plenty of reasons why you should want to run round the cities/isles, but doing pointless make work isn't a good reason (IMO).
  24. Does it matter? As long as they're rooted in the 21st century as opposed to the 1930s, so have phones and email.
  25. Or there are so few of the mobs you need in the places you can find them you need to keep hitting the same spawn over and over. (Shadow Shard hunts and PI hunts seem to have this issue a lot.)
