  1. And Game TBH... I had scrapperlock in WoW and GW2...
  2. I'm not sure there is a rule TBH. For instance two GMs I have tried to triple box regularly are Eochai and Jack. Eochai is doable once you have the debuffs locked in (3x Fire/Rad). Takes a good while but basically a walk over. Jack... well someone is a walk over and it's not him TBH. Yet both spawn in the same zone so should have a similar base level.
  3. This, or the similar question "Which game that you played had/has the best community?" I missed CoH even though by sunset I'd pretty much given up even thinking about it. I didn't like Freemium, I didn't like the fact that my income had gone down while costs had gone up so I couldn't afford to pay to play (and consequently most of my characters were locked behind the paywall). Then it went and I was like "f...k" and I missed it a bit watched the various successors, but not with any real expectation as MMOs have moved on since CoH was good. Then the Save CoH FB group posted something about Homecoming and I came back. @OP: What makes me think of cock? Well since you asked... 😉
  4. Any mission that sends you across three zones to speak to a contact (that you already have so should be able to call but mysteriously can't), that when you have spoken to them you need to run back because the guy that sent to also mysteriously no longer answers his phone. A few more "I emailed <contact> with the file you recovered, he suggests you go and bust up some Malta in a nearby warehouse..." would be nice. Crystal Caves and or Oranbega. I love the idea of Oranbega it looks cool but it's a bastard to fight in. Any mission that has such an ambiguous in map description like: "Find Clues" or "Interrogate"... etc. When find clues turns out to be kill a single unnamed Boss mob in a map full of indistinguishable Boss mobs. Yet isn't a kill all (or the mob you're fighting is Malta/Carnies).
  5. So that they're still worthwhile when you're using Fulcrum Shift. In end game most players won't really care about Transference (providing you do use Speed Boost), and if a player gets to end game and doesn't know how the healing in the game works to be honest that's on them. But pretty much all players who want to do lots of damage will still like Fulcrum Shift and due to the way it works you and they get the best benefit if used in melee range of the target. As a kin (and apart from MM I have played all of them) I'd say I'm a buffer/debuffer with a heal. I use the heal to keep me alive because I'm also damned squishy. In very low level teams I might explain to someone who dies a lot where the heals are going to land, but since i3 I don't think I've come across anyone like that (don't exclusively play Kins mind). I did have a Bots/Dark MM and the heal is far more appropriate for healing the other ranged characters... though TBH I always toe bomb normally anyway, so even if I have no good reason to be in melee range I will be... 😄
  6. There were some good ideas in that thread. (I only remembered the arguments about creativity...) 😄
  7. Or just not have them work in PvP. Not sure I see the point myself, with the plethora of "free" P2W travel powers can anyone be really said to be without a travel power these days? And flight speed was always said to be limited by the engine even with afterburner you only get about the same speed as SS/SJ.
  8. Agree. I use some macro/auto-clickers, but it would be better if I didn't have to.
  9. Oh god yes... I hate, loathe and detest the level up method as it stands... it's fine if you're doing a couple of levels at a time (at most). I'd also like to see the idea expanded to the enhancement management screen. Enhancements shouldn't be finalised into the slots until you hit "finished", with an optional "Are you sure? These changes cannot be changed later without further investment." too.
  10. This is clearly losing something in translation (from your head to mine), but what is different about parking your "complete" 50, changing the name and starting a new character with the same name? For me, I don't have 8 50s... I'm still working on my 8th. And none of them are full T4s (nor are any of my current ones likely to get to that point). If you look at the other thread you'll notice I posted my own thoughts on what you describe... stealing some of the ideas from the DDO reincarnation system: (https://ddowiki.com/page/Reincarnation) and Past Lives (https://ddowiki.com/page/Past_lives). But I don't see the point of a reincarnation system in CoH as you describe, as what you describe is basically a reroll where you keep your badges and some frills (accolades), many/all of which you'd probably get again in the process of levelling up. Especially if you plan on levelling up "old school" rather than blasting to 50 getting your T4s and then having nothing to do... 😉 I think it's fine to suggest things that there is no realistic way to have added to the game providing they understand that.
  11. If it were harder to reach cap, or it cost money to rename characters then yes... but I already rename some of my characters on a semi-regular basis to keep a name I like on a character I like to play (at that time). And getting to 50 really isn't that hard. It would be much harder to actually then get the 2nd/3rd/4th/etc "AT Slots" built, unless you also want them to keep the original slot's incarnate powers and IOs (Build Slots don't get the IOs from build one automatically applied to build 2 or 3. Never checked with Incarnates as I don't use Build Slots much, but I think they don't carry over either.) An accolade would be good, More content in the Shards would also be good. Not sure about specific bonus though, at this point I don't think +recharge is really needed (or better put, by the time you would likely have this accolade you have +recharge coming out of your ears), and bearing in mind what you face in the Shards perhaps a flat +def/+res to Psionics would be more fitting. Yes please. Trainer, maybe. I could see it being useful. Don't see the point or need for a P2W though. Unneeded, all zones that have an AE also have a trainer already. Having one in the AE building is just laziness. I certainly wouldn't mind it, but I'm not sure it's the right direction to go. Personally I'd go with a Ninja Run/Beast Run style for sprint, and then the temp power is just a flat boost to run/jump which works with sprint. I don't really want to see the speed/jump height of NR/BR being just another free travel power. At least without similar boosts to fly and teleport.
  12. It's a choice you need to make TBH, if you're playing a Kinetics character most of the powers work better in melee range. Transfusion is one of the best heals in the game the fact that it needs to hit IMO is a far worse downside than you needing to be in melee range of the mob you're healing off. Twilight Grasp (the other best one IMO) is also a great healing power that again requires an accuracy check to work. Perhaps we ought to make them like empathy/pain heals and not require any check on hit. Maybe just make them PBAoE... If all the sets were functionally the same there would be no reason to pick one over the other. You need to learn to work within the limitations of the power rather than wanting it to be changed to make it work in your specific situation. Part of that is educating teammates to be where the heals are, part of that is positioning yourself the same way.
  13. The old: "It's too expensive to upgrade/train our staff..." Neatly forgetting if they lose everything due to unpatched vulnerabilities people will laugh at them. There are still businesses running XP, couple of years ago I came across someone running 95... PC was a brick though with no internet and did just one job (for which the software had never been upgraded).
  14. Wish bases were server agnostic... I could make a character on Excelsior but... 😞
  15. Well yeah but isn't that the whole point of choosing different things? Ah homogeneity, which is IMO at odds with the idea of actually having meaningful choice. If you can choose anything anyway why have a meaningful choice in the first place.
  16. If your AT gets armour powers in their Epic/Patron powers there is already both +def and +res armours, hell Cold Mastery for Blasters have an armour that can have either/both +res and +def. If your AT already gets +def or +res from your primary or secondary you don't get it from your epics. Not sure why you'd expect otherwise. Am I missing something here?
  17. I too have issues loading in to Peregrine, I think it's more to do with that zone than graphics issues there. No other zone loads so badly. 1 in 10 attempts just hangs and I get booted out to the login screen. I wouldn't have an issue with your suggestion, but I suspect that one "issue" would be that with it, many probably wouldn't progress much beyond AP or KR, nice small zones, much easier to navigate.
  18. I was under the impression that the Cthulu Mythos was all public domain now, certainly the books are all out of copyright. To edit Lovecraft's Mythos stuff is all public domain AFAIK, more recent stuff might not be, but be fair the City of Heroes IP isn't owned by the current operators of the game. I doubt that lacking ownership/license of the IP would be a deciding factor.
  19. Some Cthulu Mythos... no idea where but if you find it unless you have high psionic resists/defence you get sent mad and have to delete the character... 😉 Well maybe not the last, but yeah Cthulu... And yeah Dark Astoria is a bit that way now... but somewhere with more evil madness....
  20. Or abuse the /enterbasefrompasscode, that'll be the thing I miss most when/if they finally remove it. (And I have the temp power crafting bench.) I don't think the devs are that bothered about Inf sinks though, seems like they'd sell more stuff for inf if they were.
  21. If you mean for powers, I'd love it. But I'd bet they're baked in (within a pallet anyway). (Because the guy(s) who built the powers sub system seemed to bake as much into the power as possible). Or even just a standard pallete that covers white-black and all RGB options. For everything else I'm pretty sure you can already use Hex codes (as decimal) for colour picks. (Not bases, but I think that is more to do with how the colour picker works, the colours I seem to recall are stored in demo files (only way to make an offline copy of the base) in RGB (decimal).
  22. And we don't already? I don't spend a huge amount of time doing it myself, but whenever I'm there there seems to be a couple of people running it, and I play on the EU low pop server. Bottom line is most salvage can be bought through Threads and Empyrean Merits. Threads can be bought for Empyreans, which can be freely traded between alts on the same account (either individually or by swapping to Transcendant Merit first). Sending salvage directly would make the process a little easier.
  23. Nest the various options like recipes, salvage, enhancements already are. So: Enhancements Training Dual Origin Single Origin Invention Origin (which can't be sold anyway) Inspirations Small Medium Large Recipes Common Uncommon Rare PvP Salvage Common Uncommon Rare Then have a sell all button at the top of each category and a check mark that allows you to assign that type of loot as "Junk". Then the vendor has a button to sell "Junk" which sells everything you have set as "Junk", and you can manually sell the whole category if you want. Ideally also add a way to automatically seed sold "Junk" directly into the AH as well, not so much for common stuff but Rare and upwards sold to vendors.
