  1. I was bullied throughout my time at school (probably why I have a single GCSE which I took at FE college). I was the fat kid that cried easily, I was the bullies drug and even changing schools didn't stop it. With the benefit of hindsight I know how to deal with bullies, getting the message to the those being bullied now (kids or otherwise) is the hard part. It's often very easy for people to say "just ignore them", it's much harder to do so when you're actually being physically and mentally abused. Sticks and stones might break my bones but it's the words that will kill me...
  2. By the time sunset was announced I had given up on the game. And because my sub wasn't active I could only use Freemium characters (4-5 unlocked out of 50+ over three accounts), so when the game finally went down I wasn't online. And like someone above said when ever I was playing another MMO I'd hold it up against this MMO and find it lacking. But I never really missed it. I kept an eye on the various successor projects but never really held much hope for them. I found out about Homecoming through the Save CoH facebook group, in IIRC September (best cake day ever), and it's been a blast so far. Thank you to whoever saved the files to start the servers up. Thank you to the various devs who have worked on said files since then. And thank you to Homecoming Devs, supporters, CMs... etc. And also thank you NCSoft. They get a lot of stick for shutting the game down (rightly), but without them it would never have existed in the first place. And they aren't doing their level best to shut down our technically illegal server... πŸ˜‰ So thanks guys... πŸ˜„
  3. You use one with auto and one with name, it fires off one immediately and puts the other on auto so it fires off as soon as it can.
  4. The data folder allows you to override the files in the piggs, you need the pigg viewer to find out what the original files are. Many/Most of the files in the piggs aren't human readable (or you need specialist converters to turn them into something useful - which as we can get the source code it might be easier to go the other direction anyway). Or you need special skills to make use of them, eg: mapping 2d textures onto a 3d model. AFAIK The only thing that being able to insert a file back into the Pigg would do is mean that if the devs update the pigg during an update you'll need to re-add the file too. It doesn't offer any better access to the game system (using a public server anyway). I have heard it claimed several times that you can insert things into the piggs that make the game work differently, but not seen any rational testing as to whether the same cannot be done by adding the same files into the data folder structure. To change core features of the game you'd need to edit the .exe (or .dlls) and then you might well be unable to connect to the correct servers anyway.
  5. You could do a rolling bind using a series of text files: /bind <key> "powexec_location 0:15 pet1$$bindloadfile pet2.txt" Use three text files: Pet1.txt <key> "powexec_location 0:15 pet1$$bindloadfile pet2.txt" Pet2.txt: <key> "powexec_location 0:15 pet2$$bindloadfile pet3.txt" Pet3.txt: <key> "powexec_location 0:15 pet3$$bindloadfile pet1.txt" You can do the same with macros but you have to switch whole trays at once it eats into the amount of space you have overall. You'd need three trays and make the following macros (assume that you're using tray three (the top most one with all trays expanded): /macro Pet1 "gototrayalt2 4$$powexec_location 0:15 pet1" /macro Pet1 "gototrayalt2 5$$powexec_location 0:15 pet2" /macro Pet1 "gototrayalt2 3$$powexec_location 0:15 pet3" You'd then place the first macro in tray three, 2nd in tray 4 and third in tray 5, hit the button and wait for the power to activate, then hit it again... etc. You can use the other slots in the trays for stuff as normal but be aware that if you want to summon just one set of pets (eg Tier 1) you'll be out of sequnce to summon the others later. (This is the same issue for either of the above methods. You could use a reset macro/bind eg: /bind ctrl+<key> "bind_load_file pet1.txt" or /macro Rst "goto_tray_alt2 3". Personally I use the goto tray command to switch my 2nd tray (middle of three) to switch to a summoning/buffing bar, which has all my pets on and the upgrades, then I can fire them off as and when I need them and switch back to the normal Bar 2 when I'm done. /macro Pet "goto_trayalt 5" goes into tray 2, /macro B2 "goto_trayalt 2" goes into tray 5. Obviously customise these with the correct tier pet command for your primary, and replace <key> with the key you want to bind. Bind_Load_File uses the root of the game for it's default location unless you have a data folder (if you have a popmenu mod, icon mod or VidiotMaps you have a data folder), in which case the default location is in: "<Game root>\Data". But you can use absolute paths eg: "/bindloadfile d:\games\tequila\keybinds.txt". (However spaces in paths can mess things up.)
  6. I think I only ever did a couple of winter events, mostly as from 2005 onward I tended to play the WoW winter events and I couldn't afford to play WoW and CoH often at the same time. So I know about presents and the ski chalet (and the various race things there). But does anyone know of a guide that has further details. I checked out Paragon Wiki and it doesn't mention the TF/Trial I see mentioned in chat. Also when you get a message on screen about a winter lord causing mayhem, how do you find it? I had the message in a couple of zones last night but couldn't actually find anything to attack.
  7. eg: /macro_image "AlignmentPower_Duplicity" "Two Power Test" "powexecauto fiery embrace$$powexecname burn" I'm fairly sure that someone on live came up with a way to trigger a power on key down and another on key up. But I'm drawing a blank on how it worked (as I never used it myself), I think it was using ++ and -- (or something), but it might have been an external program too.
  8. According to the original super pack announcement the Winter Super Pack will be cheaper during the event too... I'm guessing due to the way they're seeded this won't be the case?
  9. Never mind the winter event, this should be the case (or at least opt out/in via Nul) for all temp powers.
  10. Love to see a raid on Mot, don't like these rewards. End game Incarnate Raid, you're probably going to be going in with multiple T3/4s do you really need further buffs? That said not sure what else you'd need at that level either.
  11. If you want to remove the "Recharging" Spam, instead of using powexec_name, use powexec_auto. You might need to add one for Hasten (or any other powers you already use Auto (Ctrl+Click) on though.
  12. Where is the game installed? You can try the below solution too, but if the game is installed into Program Files/Program Files(x86), it will have issues writing files into the installation directory. Delete (or move out of the installation directory) the text file. This fixed the same issue for me.
  13. Totally random, I frequently triple box three characters and I think I have once had all three with the same detective. Normally I have one with one and the other two the other. The characters are with the exception of creation time and name identical in every respect that I can make them. My personal thought is why do we even need two detectives? And if we must have two can the inside one not be moved outside? I also like @Tahquitz's solution. Also why is this in trouble shooting and help and not in suggestions?
  14. Perhaps even different pet types dependant on their basic Origin, though that might be hard to work out unless there was some way to work out which mob was which origin.
  15. I like the idea of that but it would have to work with containment. In fact you could probably reuse that idea as the "hook" for the set, a stacking debuff that when it's high enough it causes vomiting (which is a containment). The poison cloud could then work like a fast application of the sickness debuff so rather than irradiated have a radiation sickness (or just Sick(ness)!!!)., Stacking damage from the set causes a debuff that when full causes the mob to vomit uncontrollably, when the mob is Sick they have a chance to spread the illness to other mobs. Sick itself being -regen -tohit -recovery -recharge. Sounds more like a CoV set but I bet it could be spun to a heroic set too... πŸ˜„
  16. You'd still be able to clear all the maps... just like you can when you do an ITF. Plus I expect if/when they update the TF they'll add the old version to Orubous so you can still grind through it if that's your thing. More choice is always a good thing IMO.
  17. Keyboard + Mouse You might want a real mouse though... πŸ˜‰
  18. I solo... but play three accounts at once... πŸ˜‰ So probably not solo... still enjoy what I do though and I think that is what counts. πŸ˜„
  19. I'd love to see a re-imagining of the council base maps, make everything more spacious but especially the tunnels between the rooms. That would go a long way toward making any content with them in more enjoyable. I agree on the other points though.
  20. As a Ice Blast/Rad Controller sorry Blaster, I love the extra control I get with the two ST Holds. Not sure how much use it would be in a control set though, with the way content is played these days being able stack ST holds isn't going to get far. Needs to have something more of a hook to make it worthwhile. Ice Blast has damage, while I love the control it's the damage that makes it shine. Personally I think a Sonic Control would be more useful, as it would stack the res debuffs of sonic with the def debuffs of rad. But it would depend on the "hook" or whatever makes a Rad Control special.
  21. Cimeroan, All the Praetorain City Zones, Shadow Shards. PvP Zones (don't care for these myself but I know people have asked for them). Every Zone should have one IMO.
  22. Add all contacts (within your level range) to the find contacts button would be a better solution IMO. Given how often old content blue contacts give missions outside their own zones I wonder if by having a method to simply call them and not visit (as OP suggested) some zones would have even fewer players. On top of which most of the Blue zones are quite small how difficult is it really to visit intermediate contacts to pick up the next one? What would be nice I think would be to add Ourubous Style missions to every contact, so you can visit at any level and do the missions as they were intended, perhaps add a -2 to the difficulty slider to quickly move through unwanted content (or content too hard for your particular character). You'd no longer out level content at all. But I'd imagine that that would be a more difficult task than just adding contacts to the Find Contacts button, or handing out their contact details... πŸ˜„
  23. It would make sense to make all contacts accept walk ups, which I think is supposed to be the case. There was a CM/Dev comment to that effect at some point. Making out-levelled new contacts callable though sounds like it might be new programming (I don't think it's available now). And would this be for new contacts you have out-levelled only or just new contacts in general? It might be an easy fix, but the effort it seems to be to make some contacts have phones after one mission rather than after 3-4 (like the really old days) it might not be as simple as just adding a flag to the database. (Which I would have thought would be the case.)
  24. Unless you actually want to follow the crumb trail through contacts I believe you can just go to the end point of that trail and talk directly without needing the trail of introductions. I could be misunderstanding what you're asking though. πŸ˜•
