  1. Totally agree. Unfortunately I've no clue if Mids' is even an option for me since my only access to the internet is via my phone (or I'd happily put one up). I saw a fair number of views without a reply so figured to try get something going.
  2. What are his goals for the build?
  3. Congratulations! Remember my stab at such things. Went well until I ran into Antimatter who chewed me up and stomped all over me. Enough defdebuff and damage that my much younger IO'd issue 13 self, a Claws/SR, couldn't handle him and his bots.
  4. Initially I was focused more on trimming slots rather than what you might due with extra slots generated (then if I could use Mids' ☹ I'd build back adding slots for things like a Kismet or purely for set bonuses). I agree with Coyote about looking to add in some uniques such as Kismet. I generally try to fit in Kismet somewhere in any build along with the +end and +recovery uniques and actively seek the accolades that add endurance and health. As for does your build specifically need more To Hit vs more Accuracy depends a lot on what difficulty settings you generally run. Typically you get more benefit with +To Hit when fighting +3, +4 or even harder mobs. +Accuracy gets better bang with mobs with a lower relative level to you. Mostly that's due to your scaling base To Hit. Versus +4 your base is 39% to hit. Even level mobs you're sitting at 75%. So essentially barring everything else you start off at nearly half the to hit vs +4 as you do vs +0 mobs. Accuracy acts as a multiplier on the 'final' to hit. The Attack Mechanics page on Paragon Wiki is very thorough on the topic) And you could do far worse than use Hops' build as a template.
  5. Still thinking Resurrect is overslotted. Personally if I took it I'd drop an endred in it particularly on a controller --> no vigilance and its end cost is not low (26 iirc). My computer died but what does Mids' say the recharge time is with 2 recharge slotted and ask yourself how long is the team going to want to wait around for multiple castings vs convert inspires to wakies or otherwise use p2w powers etc. to get back in the fight. And how much does the second recharge bring that time down? Is the slot worth it there? Heal Other-> Why Miracle? Cheap set I'd look at Doctored Wounds (+recharge at 5) or expensive Panacea (again +recharge at 5). Maybe a 6th slot for one of the healing set uniques or move slots to Health for those. Hasten -> two slots boosted to +5. Invisibility -> Not worth the slots for defense, 1 slot def/global +recharge Maneuvers-> better investment but I'd still think strongly about reducing to 3 slots. On the flip side 4 slots gives +accuracy Tactics-> think about 1 endred (in the second slot) vs the endred/to hit if end usage on the build is problematic. Possibly +5 boosted either way. Fortitude -> potential spot for some added slots. I'd be looking to push towards +20% defense buff. RA -> I try to keep the recharge on this and RegenA within a few seconds of each other on my Empaths. One less thing to worry about. When one is ready the other will be and use them 'together'. Dead computer so can't tell how close yours are, only internet is s phone. Got to head to work. I'll be back.
  6. I haven't experience with too many other MMO's but this is another area where I think CoH shines. I always found it easy to create, join and edit the various channels and tabs. Made communication very easy between various friends and social groups in game, something I repeatedly felt the other MMO's failed to do.

    Top 3?

"Let me rephrase" As in The one I just played The one I am playing And the one I will play😁 More seriously the first Blaster I stuck with was Fire/Energy and the most recent is an Elec/Fire
  8. Some things I've noted Resurrect--> just give it the base slot. Even with massive global recharge you aren't going to get the recharge low enough to use it on several folks at a time unless your team is very patient. Clear Mind --> kind of the opposite of Resurrect. The base recharge is 4 sec. You'll have enough recharge already to knock it down plenty so extra slots for recharge aren't needed. Personally I'd use 3 slots in Maneuvers and Weave. Use a freed up slot to get the Steadfast 3% defense unique added in (unless I missed its presence). Between adding the unique and using boosters you should add defense overall to the build. Consider Membranes in Fortitude, they are practically designed for Fort adding defense, to hit and recharge to the power. Fort can hold a LotG +recharge as well. I see only 4 in the build ... unless I overlooked the 5th. Have to run but I'll look at the build more later.
  9. Absolutely. If an Emp/Fire can solo a +4/x8 ITF pretty sure anything can be made to solo. Although my Ice/Sonic controller was just about as impossibly slow and painful as it gets for solo work.
  10. IIRC from Live Triage Beacon did stack with itself.
  11. No reason you can't or shouldn't do a more team focused build for a second build. As an /SR scrapper I'd still go for the softcap. And for other scrapper pri/sec's I'd still be looking to build very solidly for survival. Unless we're talking about a static team I wouldn't sacrifice survival and hope the support was there to beef up my build in areas that are normally strengths.
  12. If I followed Luminara even a little bit they were saying, in many ways, that it doesn't really matter if they are overpowered or not because changing them doesn't really change the underlying issue the suggested changes are trying to solve. It's just "changing the goal posts. Not even ...". Instead CoX needs to challenge players by changing design not by just giving foes more of what they already have but in other ways beyond being sacks of hit points. Something they think CoX is much more capable of than most MMO's without resorting to a CoX2.
  13. I believe you can acquire a Power Analyzer from the P2W vendor which should reveal things in the same manner as Surveillance.
  14. I was having a good time on my Earth/Storm controller putting all 5 in my AoE immobilize while she was under 20th or so. Not too surprising it works well (better) on Spin.
  15. Where's my "Truth" emoji? Or you realize, as the last one falls,) they haven't all 'hit the hospital', but have been rooting you on in chat as they lay, defeated, watching the show.
  16. I think my issue with things here stems from a lack of clarity on what exactly is being discussed. Is the topic being discussed the set bonuses or the enhancement values of the individual IO's within the set of the power in question. My understanding is if the enhancements generating the set bonuses level values are no more than 3 greater than the your current combat level then you get the set bonuses even if the power itself was chosen at a much higher level. (Excluding things like purple sets etc.). Easy enough to test I would think. Hop onto the test server, put some level 10 kb protection IO's in powers taken at levels 44, 47 and 49, get at least 3 slotted up. Then exemp down to level 40 and piss off something like a Fake Nemesis and see if he still knocks your butt across the docks. If those lvl 10's are working you shouldn't get knocked anywhere even if he caves in your skull for being a +4 Boss.
  17. As it's not a new power set I'd probably check Mids' . It should indicate if the power does not stack from the same user
  18. Dang near every thread has that effect on me ... darn altitis. And doubly danged busted computers keeping me away from my CoX!!!!
  19. And other click mez protection powers, SR's Practiced Brawler comes to mind for this longtime */SR player.
  20. No worries I think we are all on the same page (now): Rommy's stun is mag 20, Clarion's protection, at least initially, is well above the 20 needed to protect against the stun and stacking 2 Clear Mind or similar powers is sufficient protect (as will breaking LoS)
  21. Just for, I hope, clearness Psy was answering my question about Clarion I believe, not disagreeing about my guess on his stun mag.
  22. Not by any means a TA expert but Glue Arrow first? How resisted by +3/+4 mobs is its -speed in 'holding' them in place for things like RoA?
  23. Just took a glance down thread to Werner's post on his MoITF +4/×8 run. The build, a Katana/DA, uses ToE in Dark Regen
  24. Well my knowledge is prior to the proc changes but it could refill the end bar back on Live (if my 7y old memories are correct). If we could invoke Werner ... I'm thinking he'd know for a certainty both post and pre proc changes.
  25. Yes, at least prior to he proc changes, ToE returned +end based on the number of targets hit. Putting it in Dark Regen was a very good idea for DA users. Can't say I knew the exact mechanics but it definitely and significantly solved DA's endurance issues.
