  2. taunt has a -75% range debuff and most enemies with a ranged have an 80ft range i cant math right now because reasons but melee range is 7ft taunt for my 3 whole tanks has been a level 47/49 kinda thing

  10. Between a higher base damage and scourge, this is not remotely true. Lots of theorycrafters do not realize how much base damage factors into everything

I am pretty damn sure -resist debuffs are calculated from base-unslotted un-buffed damage in each attack so its not adding nearly as much as people think. and with enough corruptors doing the same (or BP lore pets) a -resist cap can be hit. The 20-25% gain on buffs and debuffs on defenders vs troll/corrs secondaries is not huge when you look them up and does not come anywhere close to making up from the lack of damage. With that said, the 51% damage bonus wont break the game or even come close to other archetypes but still help Defenders

  13. can it retain the 30% damage buff and maybe gain 3% more damage per party member? totaling up to 51% more damage isnt game breaking With defenders low base damage, and low damage cap it should be more tolerable or at least encourage people to take attacks or maybe consider playing a defender. Yes I know corrs are a thing yes I know that being at 51+100(enhancements) all the time is half their damage cap But damn, what few character ideas I have left are held back by either replaying corr again or being put off by super low damage.
  14. Masterminds are definitely a bloom at 50 kinda archetype. While any level 50 with everything will outperform someone leveling, i noticed it more as a mastermind. I love my bot/traps because with all my slots, access to hami enhancements and some IOs that can only be slotted at 47 or 50 it shines because I can exemp down with it all. The pet buff IOs are gigantic, the +def ones are huge alone and the resist ones also tend to help Fitting your prot bots with acc/dmg nucs and def/end cytos to maximize their acc/dmg/end spending/their bubble def. huge At 30+, FFG, maneuvers and both prot bubbles my pets can get into the 45-50% def to all range, meanwhile each prot bot is in the 40%~ def to all range since they cant bubble themselves. As for your Ninja/Time, i have no personal experience with it but Foresight/farsight/whatever its called a level 28 and being in melee range with your pets for that -tohit time aura might be key. getting those +def pet aura IOs slotted will also push it more. At 50 you can slot Farsight up with 3 Membranes for maximum recharge/def/tohit. get mace mastery for [power boost] and bam. Stacking +def and mixing it with -tohit is what makes my Ninja/Dark mastermind fun. Maneuvers with a generic Def set of your choice, I use red fortune 5/6 Shadowfall with 3 Ribosomes and 3 random def pieces. I use: 1 LOTG 7.5% and Gift of the Ancients: Defense and Defense/End the 2 5% def to all pet IOs Their inherent +def that adds up to be roughly 25%~ def to all range. Now lets slap Darkest Nights or Fearsome Stare's -tohit in that And later on taking advantage of Team Teleport or the 'newly' instant Recall Friend and abuse the hell out of the Dark Servants gigantic -20%(base) autohit tohit debuff aura
  15. It does both. I think, but it does make knockback into knockdown. Bonfire Rise of the Phoenix And the pets I listed.
  16. Overwhelming Force: KB to KD makes the following pets great: Genin Commando Assault Bot ... i think thats it. Genin's crane kick isnt bad, but there are 3 of them coming at ya all the time Commando because so much knockback Same with assault bot. Few things sound great in this game but 10 or so enemies falling on their ass at the same time while burning to death is one of them

If watching healthbars is not something you wanna do I recommend a fire/dark corr. dark pit and rain of fire really makes passing time end of word line enter key kin/sonic def if you really wanna be a defender just to be a defender. people at end game just want -regen, +dmg and -res sonic/fire if you wanna buff and blast. but for what its worth, my thermal/fire defender is my favorite. Forge at 20 makes Posi and synapes more fun as long as you have someone to use it on. +50% dmg is pretty damn neat for a buff. slap assault onto that. permahasten build allows 4 targets to be forged, modest +rech you can have it on 3 targets. level 30+ peoples IO sets kick in and your heals will be needed less, if at all. same goes with rez and other stuff
  18. Perma Hasten build Try Radiation/Fire/flame blaster. Heat makes sense with radiation. Whos going to argue with a green burning sword? Or a flame colored atomic blast? Radi blast: Skip Bolt, Haze, Bomb. Fire Manip: Skip Burn, Hot Feet and Consume. Also Combustion if you want, but I didnt. Or you can use Burn instead of Combustion Most of this characters life was in melee just melting stuff. Blazing Aura with 3 acc/dmg hamis and 2 50+5 healing IOs and 1 50+5 endmod Combusion>irradiate with blazing ticking felt amazing for low level stuff. But things tend to die real fast at level 30+ for combustion to even finish animating There are times I wish I had Burn but without a constant taunt effect I opted out of it. Hot Feet also sounds natural but its real late in the game and big on end. COnsume was just not needed because of the various +recovery enhancements these days. Plus 35/38 is when you(i) start working on Epic/Patron pools and ends up being a build tightness issue thing for me. With enough +rech Fire Sword Circle can be your constant enemy delete power, or the nuke. Obliteration sets and whatnot Radi Bolt is too low damage, Haze has knockback and requires range, and bomb just doesnt have the damage to animation time that everything else can do Flame Mastery because Bonfire can be useful. Flame Shield to stack with Tough and the all important Rise of the Phoenix. One Overwhelming Force: KB to KD in its baseslot turns it into a gigantic burn+ice patch Why the long post? Because I like DoTs and stacking a primary with a secondary to enhance or mesh well is always fun for me.
  19. mastermind pets get a +2 level bump in incarnate content, hopefully that wont be forgotten about if the new said theoretical soemthing bored typing
  20. I hate this emoji system so much because I cant reply to a post and if I reply to an emotion icon I look and feel weird. City of Heroes even live only had so much to do, and the point of a subscription based system is to keep players coming back however when player enthusiasm outweighs the speed of the content, people tend to do shit themselves such as creating a supergroup of only Radiation Emission users to pass the time. They like the game but want to do things differently in different ways just for the sake of different. There are probably tons of video game easter egg videos of players going slightly against the devs intentions, for replayability, fun or just exploration

  23. Yeah but if you opt in to having a challenge its the same thing as a self imposed challenge. That new content has to be a single option Super Ultra Omega Nightmare Hell DefCon 0.5 only for this thread to make sense
  24. I dont think self imposed challenges are artificial difficulty, while using mario again, artificial difficulty is the Hidden Block scenario where you have no idea that its there that leads to death with little to no way out
