  1. You will have to "grind" to get enhancements unless you run into people that will help you with some loot like: But, if you are okay with characters for PVP only, then check out "Temporal Warriors".
  2. DFBs and DIBs drop SOs and, generally in my experience, a kind and level that your character can slot. ... and that's regardless of what level your character is. Also, there are people that sell their SOs on the market for cheap. I'm one of them. Any SO drops I get go on the market for cheap. I buy all the SO's that I slot from a base vendor.
  3. On the floor. Game sound through my TV. I only use headphones if I'm on Discord. Sometimes I have news or music playing in the background, but not if I'm on Discord. Usually for about 3 hours at a session. Some days two or three sessions ... rrrr ... maybe more some days ... And, yeah, I alt-jump, so sometimes a play session isn't just one character.
  4. putting ERP in the bio should be all that is necessary. Then ERP people can take it to a base ("Get a room!") and no one else has to be exposed to it. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Everlasting_Base_List has an ERP section. Currently only one base is listed there, but that would seem to be an option if that is your kind of thing. Since it is only one base, people that want to do that could simply go there and hang out until other people that want to ERP show up.
  5. Sorry about that @Ringo I was either too tired or too distracted or both.
  6. So I'm a character conception player and an alt-jumper. I usually don't go "back in time" to alter their timeline. They experience what they experience while they level. From time to time, I do go back and do content that I missed, but it is rare and has usually been Striga Island content. Ouroboros missions are like a mini taskforce. You do get some merits in the ends, but it isn't like it is a weekly. I guess they could be recruited for like a taskforce, but I don't see that being done. Maybe it should be as that is a good way for everyone doing the arch to get credit for the completion as everyone starts at the beginning during the play through. I have teamed with other people doing Ouroboros missions but usually with sg mates and not PuGs. I think I might have done one PuG Ouroboros arc. I wouldn't be opposed to running other PuG Ouroboros arcs.
  7. I know the stealth one only works if you have the power active, so I'm not sure about the Slow resistance one works if the power isn't on.
  8. So you are admitting that these are chips now?! Sorry. Couldn't resist.
  9. Oh, Hellion yes! I love that mission when I'm underpowered for it and soloing it. Perez Park is really meant for teams, but this can be soloed. For all those people out there complaining that they can't find challenging content, then this is a great one for you! I had to go to the SG base several times for respites to be able to complete it, but I completed it solo. Push comes to shove, when this kind of thing happens, ...and I really can't handle the challenge.... I run some police missions or missions from another contact until my character levels up and then I try the hunt mission again. Sometimes, you can get credit for hunts by defeating the foes in police missions even if it says specifically to fight them in certain areas.
  10. I certainly hope they will at some point!
  11. How about several badges? 100 Frostlings defeated - Coal in my Stocking? 250 Frostlings defeated - Naughty can be Ice 500 Frostlings defeated - Snow Cones for Everyone! 1000 Frostlings defeated - Snowplow of Justice
  12. Not so much as they stand at this point. I think you can write these into AE missions. If so, that's the only time I'm reading them ... and generally only when I'm writing them. Link them to a base item that you an put in your base as a trophy. When you click on them, it gives you the souvenir's text description the way that monuments and placards around THE CITY do. I can't say that I have any favorite souvenirs.
  13. Welcome home. I played on all the servers, but I can't say that I played on Protector all that much ...well, I can say that I played on it more than I play on Indomitable these days.
  14. Then possibly there needs to be a "curse" related to the mob until the mob is arrested. A slow effect that is generated on the character that opened the present until all members of the mob are defeated. There should be some way to mitigate the behavior.
  15. I'll take your word for it. At the very least, it delays the presents from re-spawning. The rewards people are looking for come from the presents and not fighting the snowmen. Maybe it needs to be changed so that the reward isn't given until the mob is defeated.
  16. They always freak me out. Does that count?
  17. yep. I was doing it last night.
  18. I think this situation is similar to the afk-ing on leagues and masterminds AKF-ing at Motel 666 during the Halloween event. When the spawn is left behind, the present can't respawn. If you cause the mess, you should be responsible for cleaning it up. And it is not just lazy but unethical (to me at least) to just open presents, dash off without fighting the foes, and leaving it behind for other people to deal with. And, of course, unethical behavior is always a matter of personal choice.
  19. I'm wondering if we need to start separate Winter Event Ethics thread. People are popping presents and leaving the spawns behind.
  20. I played Marvel Alliance on the PS2 ... and way too much Dynasty Warrior (various ones) ... I probably played a bunch more PS2 games during the "downtime" but I can't remember which ones during that time period. I tried Champions Online, but didn't like it enough to get past the tutorial. I'm still logging in to DCUO. I don't spend all that much there. first 30 levels are more old school stuff (Marv Wolfman and Jim Lee were working on DCUO when it was first being designed) - storylines from before the bad changes brought in by Dan Didio and Geoff Johns. Unfortunately, a lot of the DCUO stuff apparently tries to be "current" so most of it isn't much to my liking ... but, you know, I built characters over there. So I play some. I tried Everquest 2, but that game appears to be mostly still around for end gamers. I started playing Planetside 2 as well as it was part of the Sony/Daybreak "All Access" package, and I played a whole lot of Planetside 2 between the year before the Sunset and joining up in Homecoming. Also played Card Hunter and checked out Legendary Marvel.
  21. On December 31, 1973, Kiss officially debuted for music industry professionals by opened for Blue Öyster Cult at the New York Academy of Music. Gene Simmons, for the first but certainly not last time, accidentally wrapped up his fire-breathing stunt by setting his hair ablaze.
