I think that it would be good to add some more options for Trainers and Croatoan trainers, quartermasters, icon reps, and nurses NPCs for bases. Others would be cool, but that would be a good start. There are already NPCs and contacts in-game so I'm hoping that it wouldn't require any animation to implement this.

As I indicated earlier in the thread, I can still get into the locked interrogation cell in Kings Row, so I'm assuming I can still get a character back behind the counters in the stores still (did this quite a lot back on live, no real reason to go into the stores at this point other that the crafting tickets for the day job). EDIT 1: I was able to get stuck at [02:02] [221.5 56.9 5117.5] in Talos by standing as close as I could to the counter and toward the door that I could not reach. That /loc is behind the counter of Deimos Innovations, but I can blue hand the door to get out. I couldn't manage to get behind the counter of Pandora's Box (I had been able to in the past) or Freedom's Corps Special Forces. EDIT 2: In Talos, I was unable to get stuck a Biotechnix either ...

@Andreah I think there are those that would appreciate these songs over in the ... ... thread as well. I'm not trying to detract from you posting them here, I think that is good to see the them in chronological order all in one place. I don't think there would be a problem posting them in both. I would spread them out posting in the Jukebox thread so they don't end up all in one clump but get mixed in with the other music.

Honestly, I've never run an AE team in the RWZ. Are you running them in the RWZ since you are trying to recruit in /b and think more players will respond vs recruiting in /lfg -or- maybe think they are too lazy to move from the RWZ to the Pocket D? or maybe it is something these that I might be missing? I know it might not sound like it, but this is actually a serious question.

It seems to happen quite infrequently. I think it is important to mention if you are going to be playing the game with the character or just making an end-game/level 50 character. It really makes a big difference on the kind of reply you will get. I will say this, if you want a damage dealing defender ... go with a corruptor instead.

So, I'm assuming that means you want to be able to play it with a game controller .... (make sure to read through the whole thread as I updated things over time and eventually included an ASC II post of the game profile toward the end of the thread) You aren't going to be able to play this game 100% without a mouse and keyboard, but my setup means - for me - that I can play about 90% of the time with my hands staying on the game controller. It is only going to give you access to 2 trays without touching the mouse unless you add an additional tray flip (I do that with another macro in tray 2 if I'm running a dual form Kheldian). You'll have to use a keyboard for chatting, unless you use Discord without a push-to-chat - which I find is very obnoxious. Of course this is dependant on the set. If you need to use the mouse to place where a power is going to go off, you will still need to use the mouse. You will need the mouse to click selections sub windows. If you need to use the fast teleport system, you'll still need to use a mouse. However, with a long enough cord, and a little creativity, you could still use a mouse .... from your couch ... but I guess that depends on how you are sitting on your couch and your body's orientation to the screen you are viewing the game on.

Forum Moderation - give me suggestions and feedback
UltraAlt replied to GM_GooglyMoogly's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Keep up the good work. -
I would go for dual blades either way. ... because there is no tri-blades set. At any rate, I think stalker fits better. One could conceptualize "hide" as teleporting. I had a Champions character that would teleport by traveling through "dark matter" and their attacks were done by scooping up "dark matter" while teleporting and then hurling it at a target.

The only way that they could prank me would be by nothing happening.

Great for zoning in through a door in City Hall in Atlas Park ... that you can't enter. Stand next to the door in Kings Row near the interrogation room, and, the next time you zone in, you might end up being locked inside! (Great fun, if some random player comes through and sees you locked in there. "Hey! Get me out of here! I didn't do anything! I was set up!") Enter through the backdoor of Atlas Park City Hall (that is facing the supergroup portal, Icon, and Hospital), and enter in the same direction as you would be by entering the front door ... and, if you immediately turn around and go back out, you will exit from the door on the side of City Hall facing the statue.

I would say that either you clicked on someone and invited them to your SG or someone has the password for your account. So maybe start by changing your password if you don't think you are misclicking. Simple fix if it was a misclick would be to check your supergroup settings to see who can promote, base edit, change permissions, etc. - and fix that. promote all your characters to the 2nd highest tier. Then go around to all your savage containers and make sure that they are set so that only the 2 highest tiers of SG members can access the base salvage. This way, even if you accidentally invite someone to your SG, they won't have access to your SG storage unless don't log in the SG leader frequently enough. If you don't log in your SG leader frequently enough to stop them from auto-demoting, then - when they do auto-demote - the next SG member that logs on becomes the leader regardless of their rank. (And, yeah, I have logged into a character only to find some ex-SG leader more-or-less cussing me out for stealing the SG from them when I had no idea that the SG leadership had even passed to one of my many characters through auto-demotion of their character. At which point, I didn't say anything in reply. I knew that they had been SG leader, so I promoted them to SG leader and then left the SG. It wasn't like they were letting my character use the base for anything other than leveling and buying enhances and insp at any rate - and possibly teleporter use, but I don't recall that base having any teleporters.)

Please make MM upgrade powers passive
UltraAlt replied to Col. Kernel's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
They can still fight when they aren't upgraded. Wait to upgrade them until after a round of combat is over if it is too tedious to use the upgrade power during combat. I'm assuming you know that you don't need upgrade them singularly or by tier. As long as they are all within range, they will get the upgrade. Being in Defense mode doesn't stop your pets from attacking. If you are attacked, your henchmen attack whomever attacked you. If one of your pets are attacked, they attack whomever attacked them. They don't stop attacking when you switch to defensive mode if they are already in combat. Everytime my characters don't have enough endurance to continue attacking and that includes when I think I will be taking them too low on END to keep toggles running. -
Yes, but you only see the rating you give them with the stars that show up over their head if you have the option set to see it. My impression of Excelsior hasn't been good either. I see it as the new post-free-to-play Freedom server. It comes with most of the same baggage you get from the most populated server on any game.

I have not experience this myself, but I have never tried to juggle multiple rooms multiple times. I'm assuming that you already backed out of the base editor and tried to go back in - and - gone out of the base editor, gone to the character login screen, logged back in, and tried going into the base editor again. I would also try logging out completely, check for updates, and validate just to make sure anything behind-the-scenes didn't have something to do with it. If none of that work and if possible , I would delete one of the smaller rooms, move the other rooms away from where you want the entrance room to be, try moving the entrance room, move the other rooms where you want them to be then recreate that room you had to delete. If it will won't link up, see if there is an issue with where the connecting door is trying to link to the next room and make sure that there are no items blocking the connection (I'm assuming that they shouldn't but it could be possible.

Teaming makes leveling quicker and more fun as far as I'm concerned. Don't want to get involved with anything long and you only have a set amount of time to play? Recruit on the /lfg channel. There is almost always at least a couple of other players running around at any given play range that are looking for something to do. Recruit for team doing content that you want to do. If you are going to use one of the START xp boosts, use the x2 XP boost. You can get 8 hours worth at a time. Remember though, if you use one of the xp boosts, your character doesn't gain any infl while it is active. I'm assuming that you haven't turned off XP gain for some reason. It is in the options menu. If you are fighting grays, you aren't going to get much xp from them. This can happen due to out leveling missions/contact or your notoriety settings In regard to a contact, this can easily happen if you have opened a story arc (you'll see a little book on the contact listing). Once a story arc is open, the contact will continue to give you missions even if you have outleveled them. Hopefully, you haven't outleveled the contact so much that you can't use notoriety to level-up the enemies so that they are no longer grey. In regard to notoriety (see the little bubble on the right side of the chat line? click on that and then click on the notoriety setting), you can adjust the level and size of spawns. If you are heading or around level 20 and can fully slot with SOs, then a non-controller/defender in most cases can handle +2 difficulty and probably up to 2 team size. I would probably stay with around +1 or +2 and 1 team size if on a controller or defender. The higher the level of the threat against you the more xp you get. You can reset the difficulty level of a mission by going out of a mission, then picking another mission or logging to the character screen and then back in again and then changing the notoriety. You also might want to try running police scanner (talk to a detective) or newspaper (I guess Mikey the Ear is the first contact that will provide one on the villain side) missions. These give the option to pick one of 3 missions and then you can pick to do a special mission to protect a bank (hero) or a mayhem mission (villain). These are generally shorter missions then the door missions that you will get from higher level content. Now I'm not one to do this myself, but, if you really feel like you are stuck at some point leveling, then look for people that are recruiting for level 50 teams (mostly police scanner ones in PI would be a good bet) that will take characters any level. You'll get more mission because you are on a team, because you are sidekicked up to near level 50, and the enemy mob level and size is generally going to be large proportionally than you are able to fight on your own. You really have to decide if the goal is to play the content or to try to level up as fast as possible.

Sometimes, hunt the lake in Altas and then go over to Echo: Galaxy City and hunt the lake over there. There are enemies running around. They are in the same level ranges as Atlas. If you get all the explore badges in Echo: Galaxy City, you get https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Galactic_Explorer_Badge For some characters, I find it fun to have "Galactic Explorer" as their chosen badge.

What enemy group member do you target for a ranged (cone) power?
UltraAlt replied to MirAdj's topic in Controller
So I'm going to take the easy route based on your info and ask google ... ... with the caveat ... Hoping that is correct, we are looking 50*π/3 feet which it looks like it will calculate out to around 52 feet base width. @Doomguide2005 I was confused by your deployment of the Seeds of Confusion as I was apparently standing within range of the cone. -
What enemy group member do you target for a ranged (cone) power?
UltraAlt replied to MirAdj's topic in Controller
Yes. There are still range enhancements and some cones can be enhanced by them. They widen the cone base because the cone's range ("height "in the diagram) is longer. Range enhancements do not change the arc of the cone. -
What enemy group member do you target for a ranged (cone) power?
UltraAlt replied to MirAdj's topic in Controller
So if I understand what you are saying correctly: It is a cone. It starts at the vertex (that is you) from there the cone widens as it travels out 60 feet (the height in this diagram). Once it reaches that 60 feet, the arc/base of the cone will be 50 feet wide. Cones in the game have different arcs and ranges which change the size of the base. There used to be arc enhancements that you could slot to increase the width of the base.
