  1. Now I can see my Sentinels having a role in teams of my own vision, thanks for all that input Nihilii. Scrappers sometimes splinter off, away from team support etc, away from most centralized damage. I'm gonna follow them around.
  2. Hi, do you play this in PuGs? Just wondered what your spawn to spawn playstyle is like and what can go wrong? Open question to anyone too pls.
  3. Yeah -regen is a wishful thought on a TA but all the -res and the oil slick kind of means xp/time or meant in the past, as lot of things are different today. In the past I only noticed xp/time go up when we got to an AV and had a -regen in team, not going through mobs like I would with a TA. Yeah me being able to skip half of traps says something but they were robots not ninjas and that is another thing. Ninjas versus robots that's not even a contest.
  4. Thanks, don't go I tried lol, I appreciate the help, I saved the builds and do a will do a comparison, sometimes I pick up something new that applies to "many toons", or if not this one another one, it's all good feedback.
  5. So vague my memory, starless step to gravity well I think.
  6. Thanks, read it before, did I miss something? I looked again and aside from take the build and run around with not my own character did I miss a must have? UPDATE. 7. I knocked up two builds one of a character I used to have which I didn't have much issues with that I can remember, I am sure she was on Defiant which was a great server to level any Trick Archer, then a Nin/Time, I never did Time, I know nothing on how busy it will be, but it looks good, what does also look even better is if both builds were teamed, one helps a touch more to get you through spawns upto the AV and one helps you at the AV at a glance mmv. Just wondered if I missed a trick or took a power to late in time? No incarnates picked yet. Constructive advice much appreciated. 8. I had a Dark/dark live but not at the point of me doing incarnates, I just nominated it as the most fun tank to play in another thread but if I made it unchallengeable/immortal I'd probably lose interest. The game would need more content. My buzz came from things being risky.
  9. The more immortal I am the duller the game, games are fine if I am challenged to come up with something, perhaps a dynamic the team have never implemented before based on whatever the pug is made out off, it's good when someone on another character suddenly has some sex appeal no one ever knew before. Every character must play differently. As a dark armour going from nigh 0 health to full health in every spawn really knocked my socks off, next came fire.
  10. I haven't gone back into procs since I have been back but when it was live I decided on procs in AoEs because in STs within an attack chain they equated to a rechg. Yeah for me to commit to an idea on set movements on that build I would have to excel it, excel the attack chain but being a tanker, you have to possibly break the chain for something else anyway. I'll take your word.
  11. As individuals we all have our ideas and specific needs and many balance passes didn't even give players what they wanted back in the day. Powerhouse must have notes as to why there are the limitations they are, often people don't take everything into consideration. Oil slick xp/time maybe a factor. It's a shame I don't have the character anymore.
  12. The invention sets that offer the quickest recharge could move to the longer recharging powers, unique resistances to a passive, slot up tough with a resistance set by toning down number of slots in combat jump.
  13. Your attack chain uses up endurance, your toggles use up endurance, your stamina at this time just offsets your toggles at best. Damage slots ensure you gain the most damage per endurance point but if you're weazing put end slots in your attacks just so you have more of an attack chains to the end bar. Get into SOs asap and do not slot more than 3 of them. You could post your current build and we can see if you're getting bang for buck out of your slots.
  14. Justaris you put the highest recharging enhancement set in the already fastest recharging power, I've seen some other builds do this, its like spamming a tier 1 is a thing.
  15. Has it been just like 12 days since you rolled this Mastermind? The best like for like to compare imo is Trick Arrow versus Traps. I skipped half of Traps as it was superfluous but on the powers I didn't skip, Trick Arrows counterparts were weaker but not holes one generally wouldn't be able to fill but shouldn't feel obligated. For me jumping on a different Mastermind is jumping on a different experience, playing to different strengths and filling different weaknesses by alternative means. If every MM was the same experience with the same niche that's lazy developing. Time on a character can lead to new ideas, and a inarguable inbalance may lead to either Traps getting nerfed etc or TA getting buffed. Actual time on a character allows more thought after more experiences.

  17. I'd be interested in looking at your Mercs unplayable Time build but I think I can only upload datachunks, the short export, for some reason, is it possible to get it please? It's okay I have it now. For me, you're not doing enough damage, damage is minus fight duration, it's a big deal, mowing down mobs. Okay, all those procs in distortion look good.
  18. I did Ninjas/TA because of course I did, I did every TA, this did boil down to Tankerminding because of course it did, I tanked anything and everything with anything anyway, Glue Arrow + Web Envelope with a come at me taunt. I was full TA for every reason. It was basically as if I was a tanker who preferred to kite and the team had a trick archer who happened to be me too, each to their own.
  19. I have a many year old budget build of somebodies, not mine, you can first see if you can afford "beyond" the slotting suggestions or work with them. Power pick wise please go with what you know. I keep hold of frankenslotted builds that are cheap as a transition to getting more expensive, like a halfway build. | Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1448;672;1344;HEX;| |78DA6594DB4E13511486F774A6941E104AA12DA7D256B007A0D0E8BD31824643930| |2DE9AA6C16D5BE9814CB910EF7C05D478A94FE0ADC7C417F1053C805E1934625D9D| |FFA7123AA1FD36FFACBDD63F6BAF69E1E16AE0D5CDC7579511B85E2FB7DBA53BE5E| |68EB6DD8572A5B6ADBA97473E13504BABFABE6EB6756EB56CEF94AED98D961DE19D| |82AE6BEACE3278AB59D5B66EEEE54E17FE62AB55CFDDA8D72AD5BD21ACBBCB5AB3E| |273FEDBDAD5FA5EC059AEEBF2AEE8A1B5DDDA766EADA9EDCA7EA9506EEF697B3F2A| |6EE6E5F3C62B5F46D75FC7AD62B24859CA354B26C054928C08672CB51C057F7A15A| |F8EA58A82A4A5C636C0C42638B7052EDD554E8EB7B2C7403DD3603D8BF52CD65B64| |BDD7126BD29B79E8726A5E38223F83A37505368479A9DF02DFC95E37EBB85967807| |5065827C03AEF25D663789C3A9E90E9E41B1C339D3C83E3A02F0C0622B83F390AFE| |92BD6843C7F4565D886D808907E05C1DFC20817E7852FE13F8F64BD921EC57439F1| |0F75BE286A1B9878B881BD92037C1F01649BF71FAEC3E46907E82C57367C0B3C9F3| |6C4C890DB14721F628C61EC5D8A3187B6449EC38625DE32386532B1B0297C7C063F| |11DE13C44783E97BE92DF489E63EA11CE2929792790D79858803649FE917C53CE70| |76AC29EE9BFE42326F9C79976CECF149BE197A98E1F3C7CFCD6496FD58ECCE64D45| |21FA5CE2C7B36CBFCCBCC9F67FE3CEB9F486C129ECCE41368179F9207E433F0AF17| |EF58D7CB3CBD64E825432F197AC9D2CB0B39C634F61869F661917C29F716382B0B0| |9686179DE1C672A778C995061A55618B73285B998B67AEFAAFCC9A5D6FB94A2C59F| |02510C47C958BD5F878E7744DE46DCED1CFA7A6FB13296E0E4E8AC9686F6FDAC761| |B93F4E3BFE632E2888B1E60F2A3CFC1953E6FD93E25DFA75CE9532EF729FF00764A| |D798| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|
  20. Great guide. I was just watching some of your old youtube vids today funny enough, I'm still intrigued by khelds and what they can do, what they might have yet to do. I'll sift through these builds tonight, I like to look for slotting tricks.
  21. The build above is very melee orientated unless I have missed something, should mobs not be aggroed, stop being aggroed, they will go for someone who is next on the threat list like the debuffer. Range attacks/effects can win those npcs back quickly hopefully or without question but a melee orientated tank is going to either ignore or not notice the problem or shoot over and regather mobs up quick, bringing them all together for team efficiency.
  22. You're meant gain and consolidate aggro as quickly as possible, the build in an average players hands, say someone with a bit of scrapperlock could easily shed some aggro, my blaster in such a team with one could then be tanking instead of said average player which is why I said having said that, I've never seen you play. There is a Tanker on the forums, Cuffster, I am sure someone like them can make this look good, above average player, I hope you are one. I have definitely seen ones that won't make this look that good.
  23. All but 2 of the tanker primaries are good to go, in my actual play experience, if I haven't tried it I am not going to talk about it. There are always periods in the game or problems in the game where you might have survivability issues, for everyone. That's if you work your way up through mission content or TF content. Damage mitigation is not solely your problem, defenders and controllers, they're there to help. The ones with resistance shields will help the resistance sets and so on and so forth but any single one other damage mitigating character can help. Brutes and Scrappers can take on AVs and herd, with SO builds with varying results so any Tanker should. The one issue I see is with all the Tanker secondaries, utility wise, all is not equal but some do stack better with some primaries than others. Elec/Elec, well if you couldn't tank something I am sure there would be a brute as was the case with my elec/elec brute that would. You've got options, know your build, your limits, how to share, ie don't tank for scrappers. Threat order, who do mobs go after if not you which leads to tactics, you getting aggro, going back to the scrappers say, they can off targets that compromise you. So knowing about defenders and controllers etc, how they work would benefit any tanker. The next option is knowing and learning the npcs themselves, which ones cause you problems, their powersets and the limitations of those powersets,, sure there would be mobs you have a harder time with than other tanks and visa versa but not an impossible time with.
  24. You're like a muse Hyperstrike, I still have builds of yours saved since 2010, you provide food for thought in your slotting.
