So, I made 2 of the 3 rolls I got to keep to the spirit of this idea, but man is the Psy/Elec stalker just kind of... not fun. I know resist sets aren't great for stalkers anyway (though the tweaks made to Elec Armor for stalkers don't seem too terrible) and that psy melee is pretty meh in general. We'll see if I keep going with her. However, my Plant/Fire dom is fun and got renamed and revamped a bit into Faetalia. She also did an MSR that got her to 22, got kitted out with basic IO's, then I did some solo missions on her. Faetalia's new look.

I never said whether it was good or bad. I said that it appears to be working as intended and that @srmalloy was not wrong. Their post illustrates the reasons why such a thing occurs. I rarely have it happen while I'm teaming, but that's because I rarely join teams with my MM's where the leader's (or my own) level shifts would affect me. But that reason is why I never summon my pets until after I join a team or TF/SF and accept the potential level shift that may occur, otherwise any pets I had out would die and I would need to resummon and rebuff them. And any time I leave such a team, my pets die because now my level shifted again outside of the range they were at. No other AT has, essentially, "free" passive damage the way MM's do. We are the only AT to do ~95% of our damage passively via pets, so yes, there are limitations set in the game to try and keep that from becoming "OP." One such limitation is that certain level shift situations will cause all the pets to die and need to be resummoned. Is it ideal? Eh, maybe not. I imagine it does suck having it happen if you're in the middle of combat, but pet deaths in combat are something MM's have to worry about anyway. Regardless, you have this posted as a bug when it is not, which is sort of the main counterpoint at this stage. Whether it's good design or not is not the point, not here in this thread and this section of the forums. This feature is not a bug and is working as intended--for better or worse.

I got intrigued by 2 of the 3 rolls I got, so here is Nature's Rebirth - Plant/Fire Dom And Psyche Lectric - Psy Melee/Electric Stalker Both level 1 for right now, though I look forward to trying them out.

Roll #1: 89/ Roll #2: 68/ Roll #3: 18 Stalker/Psy Melee/Electric Armor Roll #1: 22/ Roll #2: 21/ Roll #3: 40 Controller/Earth Control/Nature Aff Roll #1: 48/ Roll #2: 99/ Roll #3: 44 Dominator/Plant Control/Fiery Assault Huh, some interesting rolls there. The plant/fire dom is certainly appealing. I'll have to think it over and report back later with the one I choose. @Troo Do we need to randomize the costume as well, or just the AT and powers?

This combo is actually a blast to play. I have one in the 40's over on Indom. @Troo this looks like fun; I'll have to see what I get from the RNG gods.

No, what @srmalloy said is correct and likely what happened. I have had this happen to me on multiple occasions. You had a level shift occur that changed in line with the leader's level range which then caused your pets to die and need to be resummoned.

This would then also need to be changed for Defenders, Corruptors, and Controllers.

Pets that come with control sets are not equivalent to MM henchmen. First and foremost because they can not be controlled themselves, not to mention that they are not the entirety of the dom or controller's power source.

Meet WhiskyTangoFoxtrot aka: WTF or What the fuck?! The military wanted another Captain America-esque super soldier, but... they didn't want to invest a lot of resources into the project and well... this happened. No one is really sure what it is or what even happened. Somehow their volunteer got turned into some ungodly amalgamation of creatures. Horrified, she wasn't even given a name or identity, just simply called What the fuck, WTF, or WhiskyTangoFoxtrot as they hoped the enemy would be just as scared of her as they were (and if they were lucky, maybe she would die). Though it makes you wonder if it was actually the military prompting this project... Whisky turned her rage on her "handlers" and broke free, fueling her inner rage at her situation by turning to villainy. She is also genetically unstable and randomly shifts forms. So one of her shifted forms (as she comes from the depths of WTF'sville) I used for this week's theme. Whisky.costume

Every primary Coyote listed works well with traps. I wouldn't really say any work better than others, and it ultimately depends on what you want to do with the character. Are you trying to solo AV's/GM's? In that case, I've seen that Bots/Traps is pretty good. Otherwise, Thugs/Traps is probably an overall stronger pairing, but you won't go wrong with either Bots or Thugs with traps. Hell, technically you won't go wrong with Mercs either if they best fit your concept, but you won't be able to do any of the crazy things that Bots and Thugs can get up to when paired with traps.

Did you actually read what I wrote? I literally said I swapped back to my Logitech MX Ergo, which is a trackball mouse, but thanks for providing an explanation I didn't need. 😏

I had purchased an Evolulent (sp?) vertical mouse (they retail for around $100 USD) because they seemed to have some of the best reviews and ratings for vertical mice. I was looking into them because I have pretty severe tendonitis in my right arm, and I cannot avoid using a computer due to school, so I try to do what I can ergonomically. For regular, basic computer use, the Evolulent was fine, nothing special. However, I do not recommend a vertical mouse at all for gaming. It was absolutely obnoxious to use, and if you're even the slightest bit twitchy like I can sometimes be, then you'll find yourself clicking on a button you didn't want to because of the way they're aligned on the mouse. Plus, the damn thing made my hand/wrist/arm hurt way worse than before. I switched back to my Logitech MX Ergo which I love. It's not perfect, but my hand doesn't hurt as bad using it since it has a trackball (meaning you don't need to move your whole hand to move the cursor). And I find that my Ergo works just fine for gaming with CoH as well.

Another theme character who I am thoroughly tickled by and love the outcome. This is The Twisted Cobbler. Her bio is a WIP, but I like to hash the ideas I get out real quick so I don't forget them. Can't wait to actually play this girl!

This week's theme ended up being far more inspiring than I realized! This theme helped me to create a villain I am actually really looking forward to playing and fleshing out properly. Her bio is unfinished and a work in progress since I kind of slapped it together so I wouldn't forget the direction I am trying to go with her (and I ran out of space). Meet The Twisted Cobbler! I've used the monstrous legs/gloves and feline face with cat markings along with the ears and tail to make a more animalistic bunny.

I will be there on Screaming Fury - Demons/Sonic MM dressed in her Easter Bunny finest. 😄

Pretty in love with my Warshade, Elfvira's, new outfit I made her. Since her first costume slot is her Elvira look-a-like slot, I wanted to do something that maybe has a similar feel, but is a little more unique. Got a compliment on it almost right after finishing it, so that was nice!

I just have so much fun doing these and look forward to seeing the colors and theme for each week 😄 I am loving the theme/colors for this week and look forward to seeing what I can come up with Thank you CR for hosting these and putting your time and effort into creating the themes, colors, and prize art. 🙂
