    Like I said, I was from there. I moved to South Dakota in 2023. 🙂 Thankfully the family I have in Southern California seem to be okay for now; and most of my coworkers seem to be okay since my company is based out of LA. We've had to close 1 store. The photos from there sure are scary and sad. If anyone else here has friends/family there, I hope they're safe and okay. ❤️

    Ninjas were a part of the recent MM update, they're not nearly as squishy as they were before and still have good damage output. I have no comment regarding which combos to do, lol. I'm in the boat of try any/all of them and seeing what clicks for you.

    Some of the Freak bosses get some pretty funny names; I think I've seen a funny named Council boss a time or two, but of course, now I can't remember them off the top of my head lol

    I have a Brother MFC-J995DW printer that I have had for at least 5 years, if not longer that has paid itself off well and over again. Don't buy a cheap printer. I kept getting cheap printers for college and inevitably they rarely last a year. I paid around $300 USD for this Brother and it has been an absolute work horse. I have only replaced the ink on it like once even with pretty regular printing. I print via wi-fi exclusively with zero issues (some devices are more picky about it than others, but mostly I can print from my desktop, phone, or tablet reliably). It keeps itself cleaned and updated if I just leave it on all the time, though you can also go in and manually tell it to clean the print heads and such, which I have had to do once after it went a longer period than normal without printing and I noticed it was a bit off.

    Yeah, that's why I felt it worth mentioning. /EA is still considered a pretty top tier secondary for MM's, but yeah, many solo MM's tend to skip Amp Up because it doesn't work on henchmen. I know controllers aren't MM's, but I thought it might be worth the caution just in case it similarly doesn't affect controller pets. If you team though, Amp Up is worth taking to boost your teammates. Sadly not much in the way for solo benefits though. 😞

    I remember reading that Amp Up is a bit borked when it comes to pets (my quick google search is showing that this may still be true, but a lot of the info is a bit outdated so idk). I guess maybe it's the discharge damage that isn't working? I thought that I had seen a lot of MM's who solo with /EA skip Amp Up, but controller pets are different than MM henchmen and maybe things have changed since then.

    Just to point it out there, AFAIK, Amp Up does not work on pets/henchmen. Edit: And I apologize if I'm wrong. I just remember it being a discussion before that it didn't really work on MM henchies or something.

    Toxic feels so underused in game, totally down for a toxic blast set. I wouldn't worry too much about the gross concept factor; there's already a lot of other sets in game you can make gross concepts with (I have an earth/poison controller whose concept is poo, so yeah, it gets done already lol).

    I know Marine is good on defenders and corruptors, but imo, the best Marine experience is on a controller or mastermind. And yeah, KB->KD slotting does nothing on a power that repels.

    I have way too many characters for this, lol. But also, mine would mostly look the same as I like my characters on the shorter side. I play predominately female characters, and I tend to keep most of them around the 5'5" area, or make them super short. I hate playing tall characters; they look like they move too slow and they take up too much screen real estate, even zoomed out. I like my screen real estate so I can see what's going on around me lol

    You've given lots to think about when I eventually get back around to this alt. I have a grav controller, so I think I'll save Propel for them and end up skipping it on the dom. I will have to fiddle with Lift and Crush and see which I prefer on the dom and probably not try to worry about whether I'm utilizing the Impact mechanic if I do take Lift since I don't feel like the dom would benefit from it as much.

    I was referring to Gravity Control's impact mechanic, lol, where you do Impact damage from Lift and Propel on targets who are held (I can't remember if immob counts for Impact). It's good to leverage on a controller because you can combine it with containment for extra damage, but idk if it's something that dom's worry about because they have their assault set for better damage. But all of the slotting stuff is super interesting! I love seeing why people do the things they do/make the choices they make. I'm still not comfortable making a build, but I am doing my best to soak up all the information I read about this stuff. Hopefully the OP will also get some use out of all the information you're providing. 😉

    If you do decide to run Lift at some point; will you be looking to maximize it with the Impact effect or not worry about it since this is a dom and not a troller?

    One of my Spanish teachers in college also spoke Mandarin (I don't even remember how we got to talking about tonal languages lol), and she did this example. My dumb ass could not hear a single difference in the inflections and such of how she pronounced these. It all just sounded like ma to me. 😭 Tonal languages are awesome, but so hard; for me anyway.
