  1. I would imagine it depends on which kinds of buffs (I don't think any pets are affected by recharge buffs), but I know for sure the Umbra Beast can be healed at least, and likely takes damage buffs and the like. I use my Umbra Beast for chaining off Elec aff powers as it's up more consistently than the pet Elec Aff comes with. I am not confident about whether the shades can be buffed/healed as I've never really paid attention; I'm not typically concerned about keeping them up because they despawn anyway and have to be resummoned no matter what.
  2. There was a thread about this on the forums a bit ago... A huntsman is a like a bane that takes the gun attacks? I think that's what it was. Found the thread; it appears to be what I thought:
  3. Yeah, I know nothing behind the math in how the game calculates threat, but Ice Armor is a threat magnet. Like I said, my baby Ice Tanker was pulling threat even without using taunt from tankers much higher in level than her. Perhaps something between the combo of Icicles and Chilling Embrace helps keep the baddies glued?
  4. I don't have like detailed knowledge since I'm not a number cruncher, but what I do know of Ice Armor is that you will have ALL THE AGGRO and ain't no one taking it from you. I have a little Ice/Claws tank who was doing a TF or missions with higher level tankers/brutes and kept ripping their aggro away. Like many of the older armor sets, it's dated, has holes, and other armor sets do what Ice does better. I still think it's fun though and really need to spend more time with mine.
  5. Apparently my reading comprehension skills need some work then; my apologies. And agreed. MM's are in desperate need of a new primary and for the primaries who didn't get the update pass to also receive one (especially poor Beasts). I do hope we get some dev attention soon for a new primary.
  6. So long as the henchmen splitting into the smaller slimes doesn't stop me from having controllable henchmen (as that's why I play an MM), then I'm not totally opposed to the slime splitting idea. Initially your idea kinda reads like you can't resummon your controllable henchies once they've split off, but I'm sure this has probably been clarified through your discussion with Rudra; I admittedly haven't gone through all of that discussion. Dozens of uncontrollable pets running around though isn't necessarily OP, just annoying for aggro drawing purposes. Mostly I feel like it would be an issue with the coding/game engine. Like I said, I'm not opposed to the idea at all. I know we won't get it, but it would be neat to see what the dev's think of its plausibility. There have been many, many MM primary suggestions, as I'm sure you've seen; this one stands out as one of the better, more interesting and unique ideas. I think it would be super fun to play and would be a natural pairing for /Marine
  7. Slime pets, presumably, would be colorable since they seemingly would be able to be on models that allow for that sort of thing, which would mean Elemental Infusion would override the colors of the powers chosen for your pets. Unless your plan is to have the slimes not be recolored to fit in with the powers. I may have over-thought it by assuming the slimes would recolor like the other powers, but I suppose there isn't current precedence for that among current MM primaries. If it's that case, then the Infusion would potentially override the player's chosen colors if the upgrade powers give the slimes auras like Necro and Beasts get. Regardless, I mentioned it purely as something to think about because customization is important to a lot of folks in this game and Elemental Infusion sorta forces them to have their henchies look a certain way if they were otherwise allowed to be colored differently. It may also be a more minor issue than I think. 🤷‍♀️ I still like the general concept of the powerset. I do think that the slime splitting off thing would probably have to be scrapped/re-thought out, but otherwise it's a nicely thought out suggestion that seems like it could be fun.
  8. @biostem also ran into this issue: Hopefully if any others are having this issue they report it to so it can be looked into.
  9. But it's a customization you're forcing on the player, not something they can choose for themselves. For example, if I make my slime powerset pink, Elemental Infusion comes in and overrides my color choice.
  10. Yes, you are correct. As I said in that post, I was reading the person's comment as if they meant for the henchmen to be support henchmen, meaning support majority powers; if this is true, then I would be against this since MM's have an entire support secondary. However, if it is more in line with how henchmen currently are in terms of having support powers, then that's fine and it's my bad for misreading the comment.
  11. Hm, fair point. I was thinking of the bots' and demons shields, but I did forget that the T2 demons throw out a heal and I think one or two of the other powersets can do that as well. I think I was reading their suggestion as the angel henchmen being support focused. Like yeah, the bots and demons do those things, but it's not necessarily their main thing; their main focus is still being there to deal damage/protect the MM. So yeah, one or two minor support powers, sure, but henchmen whose sole focus is support? That's where my opposition lies, otherwise the entire powerset would be nearly useless because our secondary is support. Hopefully that makes it more clear.
  12. No, you did not put too much effort into your suggestion. More detail is far better than no, or very little detail. You should have a concrete idea of the suggestion you're making and know what you want to do with it. I do have to disagree with the idea of support henchmen (MM's have henchmen (and sometimes henchmen & pets); henchmen can be controlled, pets can't). I need my henchmen to attack and maybe provide some defense/protection. I don't need them to support me; that's what my entire secondary set is for. Henchmen are how we deal damage (our personal attacks are penalized; they do less damage and cost us more end to use)--having them have support powers meaning they're do less of something I actually need them to do.
  13. I think this sounds like a really fun and unique primary for MMs. I have no idea how hard or annoying it would be for the game code to handle the slimes splitting off; I know a lot of players have issue with excess particle effects as is, so it may be something that needs to be compromised on/rethunk. This seems like a powerset you would want to allow for the recoloring of the powers on, so how would that work with your idea to have the Elemental Infusion power change colors? Personalization of powers tends to matter a lot for folks in this game. Thank you for presenting something that seems well thought out and like it could use some existing assets from the game. I keep hoping the HC team will add new primaries for MM's because they're my favorite AT and have the least amount of primaries to choose from.
  14. Oh I'm curious! Do you take stuffing and put it in a muffin pan and cook the stuffing that way?
  15. Literally all the answers have been provided to you. You are, at this point, being intentionally obtuse about it. Everything you want to know about farming in the current game is available in that thread that I linked. Melwys and Sanguinesun have now also provided rather detailed explanations for you here. If all it's going to amount to is you coming back here to say "yeah, I didn't really read that and I don't want to do that" then why are you here? The answers are available here in the forums for you to help yourself. If you don't want to use one of the optimal farming builds and try your own thing, then you'll probably get better results by coming up with a build in mids and posting it here or in the farming thread and asking folks to look it over. As of right now, it's hard to figure out what it is you're asking looking for because we've given you the answers.
  16. I can't see this being anything but a solo AT idea as there are going to be very few teams willing to sit back and give the Manipulator the time they need to fire off their controls to "summon" their minions--I mean, this was causing issues for MM's (and still sort of does), which caused the devs to speed up MM summons/buffs so we can still try to be meaningful on teams. In today's steamroll meta, what is the Manipulator doing to get control of their needed mobs? Constantly running ahead?
  17. Rad Armor has Beta Decay and Ground Zero
  18. The thread I gave you has literally this right at the top of it: It even tells you where to go to find the tanker information for farming: It was all literally right there at the top of the thread.
  19. In my experience, you can usually target the stuck mob, you just can't always attack them.
  20. On this note, arsenal control and devices also offer stealth powers.
  21. Sorry, i know this is off topic, but have you seen the movie Enchanted? It's basically Disney poking fun at themselves and their princess movies. And it also happens to be pretty good.
  22. They acknowledged that; they're asking for a version that doesn't require a power pick, even though there are methods in game that can handle this.
  23. It was okay; definitely aimed at like the pre-teen crowd. I thought it would be better because it's Jack Black and I like him, but I can see why they sent this movie straight to streaming on Paramount Plus and not a theater run. The funniest part about this movie is reading reviews from Bible thumpers claiming it's corrupting children. The story is a bit convoluted; it seems like pertinent parts to help you understand what's going on were left on the cutting room floor, or like things were added just to give you the feels. My biggest gripe is that the ending, while heart-warming and sweet, goes directly against a key part we're given earlier in the moment: History/events that have already happened cannot be changed. Not to mention how only the main character seems to be affected by the surprise in the ending.
  24. Gravity is typically better on a controller because it's a powerset that wants you to focus more on its powers and is very blasty. Doms mostly only want to leverage their controls to open a fight and then prefer to use their assault powers. Not saying you can't play gravity on a dom, but it typically works better on a controller.
  25. Whole thread for this here:
