  1. If I'm interpreting this correctly, the damage is direct while the holds are via six pseudo pets (only showing one below). Do the Targeted AOE set procs have a chance to fire more than once? Do the hold set procs only have a chance to fire when each pseudo pet is summoned? (Note, I changed the display to show lvl 50 numbers, but the character is only lvl 28.)

  3. On my MA/Inv I have it slotted in Cobra Strike. It goes off pretty regularly. On my Rad/Rad I have it slotted in Ground Zero. While GZ has an admittedly long recharge and is likely losing me some DPS, it allows me to run into a big group and hit Fusion > Ground Zero > (proc) > Atom Smasher. This leaves nothing standing but a boss or two at low health. I can repeat this about every 40 seconds.
  4. My main and namesake (a MA/Inv scrapper) was the first character I made back in 2004. Remade him for HC after it became clear the servers weren't going to be wiped.
  5. On a team, the amount of carnage a blaster can put out far exceeds a scrapper. I don't bother trying to soft cap defense and am happy with a mix of moderate defense and resistance. I'm generally careful not to aggro more than I can kill or at least put on their backs. Fire is a little tricky, as it doesn't provide any damage mitigation. My blasters are Ice and Dark, which helps in survivability. I don't solo my blasters much, and when I do its usually at +2/x4 or +3/x2.
  6. I'm not a min/maxer and none was intended. I prefer the defense armors on squishies. I've got ice armor on 3 and rock armor on 1. I'm leveling a cold defender and would have liked ice armor as a choice.
  7. I didn't spend a lot of time on the power choices. The first set is Ice Mastery (controller) with Ice Blast swapped out for Chilblain and Frost Breath and Ice Storm swapped out for Greater Ice Sword and Freezing Touch. The other set is Stone Mastery (controller) with Hurl Boulder swapped out for Stone Prison. It was more to show that the sets could be created from existing powers pretty easily.
  8. None of the epic power pools available to defenders or corruptors hero side include a defense-based armor. I'm aware that you can change alignment and do a patron arc to get scorpion shield and then change back, but blasters, controllers, dominators and masterminds don't have to go this route. All have access to frozen armor, and controllers also have access to rock armor. Would it be too much to ask that an ice/cold and/or earth/stone themed epic be cobbled together for defenders and corruptors? How about this: Chilblain Stone Prison Hibernate Fissure Frozen Armor Rock Armor Greater Ice Sword Seismic Smash Freezing Touch Earth's Embrace

  10. I largely agree, except for the DA content. It was intended as incarnate content, but it fails. If you're +3, max level DA content will only be +1 to you. You should be able to fight mobs +2 or +3 to you, the same way you can anywhere else in the game. Telling me to remove my T3 or T4 slots is not a solution.
  11. I know you're giving a tongue in cheek response, but I'd like to see something done to MLTF. Before the snap, it used to be hard. Now it seems like any random team can do it under 30 minutes. Maybe part of the problem is speed runs at +0 (do the AVs still always spawn at 54 or do they adjust based on notoriety?), but even at +4 it seems a lot easier than it used to be.
  12. The lore and destiny level shifts aren’t needed in DA. Reduce to +1.
  13. I recently joined a team running DA missions on a 50+3. Mission was to +3 x8 (mission holder was not level shifted), so mobs were even con to me. It was a joke. No challenge whatsoever and increasing it to +4 would not have helped. If the DA missions are going to grant a +3 shift, the mobs either need to go higher than 54, or the minions need to go away so you can fight only lieutenants and bosses.
  14. The way I have it slotted, it's a 237 hp (20%) heal that's up every 4 seconds and does 239 hp damage. Similar to Abyssal Gaze, it just gets worked into the attack chain.
  15. This is my current build. The order of the powers reflects how I leveled it and needs a respec to move the snipe earlier. I made no attempt to soft cap defense.
  16. I've got a Dark/TA and an Ice/Time, so I'm parsing the relevant pieces of each build. If you fire Time Wall before Time Stop, you get a mag 4 hold. For this reason, you may want an acc IO instead of a proc in Time Wall. I originally slotted Tenebrous Tentacles for damage but I changed it to 1 acc, 1 range and 4 procs (I may swap the range for a 5th proc). I slotted Life Drain with 4 Theft of Essence and 2 Devastation, giving me both healing and damage. Why no Superior Blaster's Wrath? I would put that in Abyssal Gaze instead of Thunderstrike. I've got Time Shift, but I'm not in love with it. I slotted it for stun rather than -tohit, but it's very skippable.

  20. In Mid's, go to Window/Data View. This will open the Power Data window. Then point to whatever power you want information on. Beta Decay is autohit (look at the Auto-Hit entry). As stated, Radiation Therapy has 3.00x base accuracy. Ground Zero has 1.20x base accuracy. The ally heal is autohit.

    Tanky Blaster?

    I just leveled a Dark/TA blaster and was pleasantly surprised by how survivable it is. Dark has a heal and TA has a stupid amount of regen in its sustain power. Unless an entire spawn attacks me at once, there's not much I can't heal back.

    Any fun SR tricks?

    I was tanking a steamroll ITF yesterday on my 50+ SR tank (set to +2 as most of the team was under 50). Was midway through the 2nd mission before I noticed Tough and Weave weren't toggled on. That's how awesome SR is.
