  1. Note, there is no Toxic typed defense in the game. Also, there are some attacks that are Psi typed with no positional aspect and will therefore bypass your positional defenses.
  2. Assuming you're not increasing the total number of power picks, no thanks. I frequently skip the tier one power and forcing it on me makes me lose another pick later.
  3. Depends what you mean by "won". Thomas was more successful, but Nikolai invented cooler stuff. Groucho, Chico, Harpo and Gummo Tim Radio? Was never a Spike fan. Watching the moon landing on TV. I'm only 57, but my mom is turning 100 in October.
  4. Disagree strongly on the difference between 70% and 90% resists. For an attack that does 1,500 damage, it's the difference between taking 450 and 150 damage. It's not a matter of not being 2-shot - I can AFK tank most AVs that do S/L or En damage. Hitting soft cap for S/L defense would be completely superfluous. I'd like to pick up more defense, but probably looking more at trading some AoE defense for more ranged defense. Will be able to shuffle things around a bit once I upgrade the ATOs to Superior.
  5. Read what I wrote. Only resist to toxic is natively low (in fact, nonexistent). Resist to Psi is not low. It matches four other damage types and is higher than Neg.
  6. This is my current playing build. Just hit 50 and haven't started twinking it out with purples.
  7. I've got a 50 SR/Staff and I never knew that. Apparently it only applies when you use Sky Splitter - if you use Eye of the Storm the bonus debuffs your foes resistance by 10%.
  8. Toxic yes, psi no. Elec gets the same 26.25% resistance to Psi that it gets to S/L/F/C. Also, most of the set bonuses that give Psi resist also give toxic resist (unless you're talking about the Impervium 6% and Aegis 5% Psi resist enhancements). I mixed UG, Impervium and Aegis sets on my /Elec in order to cap S/L resists and boost F/C and Psi resists.

    Build Up

I ended up taking it and one-slotting it with the Gaussian's proc. Pretty much guaranteed double build-up every time I use it.

    Stone Melee / ?

It took a few weeks before I got around to doing this, but I went with Stone/Elec. Hits like a freight train and stupid rugged once you slot IOs. Was a bit of an end hog early on, but once you get Power Sink, you can smash things forever. Loads of fun. Hit 50 over the weekend.
  12. You can slot it with procs. I haven't done the math, but they seem to fire about every 10 seconds.

    Build Up

With Fury, how necessary is Build Up on a Brute? Curious what folks are doing.
  14. Dimension Shift was changed on live in I22. Black Hole hasn't changed, but really should get the same treatment.
  15. Um, this is how Dimension Shift works now. Also, you can fight the phased enemies if you enter the AoE. Black Hole should get the same treatment.
  16. If you're not running at the lowest Notoriety, you can reset the mission. All team members should reset their Notoriety to the lowest level, then everyone logs off (without quitting the TF). The new Notoriety should take effect when the first team member logs back in.
  17. Yes, Issue 22 and Issue 22 Patch 1 updated the way Gravity Control powers work: Dimension Shift is a 20-second, location-based toggle that immobilizes enemies, and phases both allies and enemies, in the area. All characters in the area are free to attack enemies (and are attackable by enemies). Characters can choose to stay safe outside the location, or to move between phases. The toggle can be prematurely turned off to remove the phase effect early. Recharge time reduced from 90 seconds to 60 seconds. Lift (Controllers only) increased in damage. Propel casts faster, the projectile travels faster, and does "splash knockdown" on up to three more enemies near the target. Wormhole's radius increased and will no longer cause aggro on the caster. Singularity's cast times reduced for Crush and Gravity Distortion, and Lift increased in damage. Impact! introduced: Enemies attacked with Lift or Propel will have bonus damage applied if the enemy has been recently held by Gravity Distortion (regardless of who cast Gravity Distortion).
  18. This would be very good for powers like Steamy Mist, Arctic Fog, Shadow Fall, etc. that can enhanced for both resistance and defense.
  19. On my dark blaster, I have TT slotted with the Annihilation -res proc, and the Cloud Senses, Positron's Blast and Bombardment damage procs (plus 1 acc IO & 1 range IO). The procs go off every time I use the power. Much more effective than enhancing for damage.
  20. It was changed in Issue 22. I believe the sleep has a to-hit check. Trick Arrow Poison Gas Arrow now accepts Accuracy enhancements. Poison Gas Arrow now has a 100% chance to apply its sleep to affected targets, up from 66%.
  21. I happen to like 4-slotting Scirocco's Dervish in damage toggles (acc/dmg, dmg/end, acc/dmg/end and proc). Unlike most of the other PBAOE sets, you don't have to slot recharge that's wasted and you get decent bonuses.
  22. I've got a few rare ones - Cold/Beam defender, Rad/Dark corruptor, SR/Staff tank.
  23. FWIW, I ended up going Stone/Elec. Only up to lvl 28. Hits like a freight train, but really strains the blue bar at this level.
  24. I really do. I enjoyed it so much on my dom that I just rolled a stone melee brute.
  25. Was it necessary to repost this in 4 different forums?
