Maybe the fat ones go to administration or services. I dont think the entire organization fights on the front line. Someone needs to run the counter at the recreation area and the kitchen.

Alternate Dominant-Hands for Weapons
TheZag replied to SinisterSeraph's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The mirror might be the key though. Older games than this had mirror mode. Mario Kart 64 had it in 1996. If it were possible to apply mirror mode to a character and not the entire game, then anyone could be left or right handed on any character. Minecraft has this functionality already, using a name tag with 'Grumm' or 'Dinnerbone' will flip an entity upside down without affecting the rest of the game. It would goof a few chest emblems that are numbers or letters and thats about it. And even though the idea is simple, it doesnt mean that implementation would be. -
If im being honest, not really. Even the first time through just felt tedious. A personal story style mission to convey the information would have been better in my opinion. As it is now, ol' boy could have just given us a stack of papers and told us to read over it and talk to him again when you are ready to move on. The origin names themselves are very self explanatory and the origin of the origin as a read it quest is very redundant. A mission showing the contact getting their power or showing the origin of the origin would be more enjoyable (for me.)

If anything, we need less servers, not more. And to not split the dev time on maintaining 2 code bases. Ive leveled a character through contact missions to 50 on homecoming, anyone can if they want to. We even did a SOs only mothership raid with 20ish people. Hardmode or oldschool mode exists, you usually have to gather the people yourself though.

Put positron back in but also add a skip to the end option like the contact in DA. Most of us are well aware of the origins at this point. I can only run around the city reading text boxes so many times without a combat mission. Does the chat-a-thon even give rewards?

You could try saving your windows on a character that is unaffected and then loading them on that character. That is my go to when a regular window gets messed up.

Stop being Scrooge! Open up the content! (every contact opened)
TheZag replied to Snarky's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
This suggestion is in line with the game continuing to grow wider but not grow up (more content without increased level cap). Its been asked for previously so its either a large project that the devs havent had time for or they arent interested. Some form of improved access to outleveled arcs would be appreciated though. I would play more through ouro but my friends cant join after its started and cant rejoin if they leave. Some arcs are really long though and i cant expect people to stay for the entire thing through ouro. -

I remembered there was 1 more type of farm that you might see people with strange looking builds using - the low level elite boss farm. They are more of a new alt solo power leveling farm instead of a inf/rewards farm. Alot of them were broken with the last AE update and most that were fixed still dont have elite bosses anymore and you end up getting like 3 times less xp than before. I went ahead and fixed mine to grab some levels for my ice/cold corruptor. At level 23, I get 1988 xp for each elite boss and the kill took 14 seconds (142 xp/sec). The popular EB farm that only has bosses now gave me 720 xp on a 17 second kill (42 xp/sec). I get roughly 3 and a half times better xp on my fixed EB farm. Mine never made it up the list but search 48471 if you need better xp for a new alt. Read the mission info and contact text once though or you will likely end up with slower xp/min than is possible.

If you were to add a zone to the Rogue Islands...

Im sure there could some large area under Mt. Diable. Give it the whole Batzul summoning vibe. Could even have the horns from the mountain continue underground and be anchored in some ancient evil. -
I havent farmed in quite awhile but i never fire farmed, i always did smashing/lethal. My gravity/kinetics/stone controller can survive in S/L farms but its not breakneck farming speed. I have seen a fire/kinetics corruptor that was absolutely shredding a S/L farm but i dont remember their patron/ancillary pool. Most characters should be able to build enough defense and resist for a S/L farm and thats where the majority of your flexibility in choices comes from. Most fire farm builds use fiery aura and that gets boring real quick for me. Fire is probably faster but S/L was more appealing for the few times i farm. As for making odd builds work, if it can use all the winter enhancement sets its the majority of the way to be in a fire farm. Those enhancements give alot of fire defense and resist. S/L defense and resist are common in set bonuses and its just a matter of choosing the right powers for chasing those set bonuses. Its fairly easy to hit 45% defense when you can ignore all other defenses.

We had a kronos on the way that night but due to....reasons, it ended up fighting Mynx and Synapse. Interestingly when we killed the kronos, 2 more spawned at Mynx and Synapse. We killed those and 2 more spawned. We had 5 Kronos in total and im fairly certain that only 1 kronos ambush mission was used.

I dont play archery, does it have bad damage per animation time along with the low damage per attack? Firing off 4 faster attacks that average 80 damage is more than someone else doing 3 attacks averaging 100 damage in the same amount of time. I dont know if thats the case here but damage per animation is more important than damage per attack for comparison purposes. I think archery does have a 'thing' but its in the form of increased accuracy to its attacks and not completely unique. Most (all?) weapon wielding sets have increased accuracy. Now that players are generally capped for accuracy no matter what set they use, the boost from the bow is no longer noticed and rarely needed. If the set needs a buff this is where i see the opportunity, though. The game runs its hit chance calculations and if you are above 95% or below 5%, it locks you in at that value and any additional hit chance is 'wasted'. Having an effect that triggers based on how much you were over 95% on your hit chance could be archery's 'thing'. It could be 'vitals hit' and they bleed over time or any number of the different debuffs available - choose what fits best as the over accuracy proc. This assumes archery needs a buff in the first place but thats my idea for what it could be.

Just another day on the forums. This isnt the first time we have seen chest armaments. If a thread makes it to page 2 without being locked then its been approved 😛

Why did the Officially Unofficial Weekly Discussion threads die?

What is this sorcery? Due to the ammo shortage, all heroes are asked to fire in a smaller cone and for a shorter duration.

I like ice blast / cold domination on a corruptor along with fold space. Drop snow storm and sleet then hit fold space and drop blizzard for a nice scourge rain. Throw both chance for 2mag hold IOs in freeze ray or bitter freeze ray and you can hold elite bosses like they are nothing.

I feel the meaning of a quality of life change has been lost by alot of people. QoL changes should rarely buff or nerf anything. What one person considers a buff could very well be someone elses nerf. Or in the case of the poll, 1 persons QoL change is 14 other peoples nerf. My example for a QoL change would be adding a yellow circle around practiced brawler when its buff is expired so you are reminded to click it. No one is made stronger or weaker, you can monitor your buffs for the same information, the yellow circle would be easier to see and allows you to monitor a buffs absence instead of its presence. The devs have moved powers around before but there has always been a good reason for it. Roleplay reasons for why powers should be moved probably wont outweigh gameplay reasons for why they should remain as is. There is also the cottage recommendation but that applies less in this situation since no power is gained or lost, just the available level changes. Ultimately, it would take a large amount of information backed by the numbers to have powers be considered for swapping and 'I believe' followed by two roleplay examples probably isnt enough to tip the scales.

Singularity (and Reverberant) speed increase
TheZag replied to WumpusRat's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
i always take incan because i have no use for the other destiny powers and its very useful for getting my henchmen over to me when im playing lvl 45 and over content. kinetics is the other option to get fast pets currently. it would be nice for pets to have at least sprint speed when running and fly speed when flying. -
Id say just dont kill it until everyone arrives when someone troll summons adamastor. Chances are if they are that bad at teaming, their build wont be able to take him down either. A common solution to troll boss pulls in a different game i played was to let them die to the boss and not rez them. You can usually rez yourself in CoH but rewarding the troll by giving them the boss kill they wanted will just encourage them to do it again. My guess is they are young or dont speak/read the language well though. I cant see people trolling like that very often on purpose. And if they are grown adults that speak the language and do this on purpose, then holy crap, get yourself off excel and come to torch. None of that nonsense going on over here.
