Here we have Hugh Mongous. He is as big as they come, literally. His presence never goes unnoticed, partly because of the burning sensation in your retinas after he passes by. The screenshot above doesnt do him justice. Below are a few of his size comparisons. Here he is next to Ms Liberty Here is a shot of Hugh with Recluse Back Alley Brawler can almost look Hugh straight in the eyes....if Hugh had eyes. Finally we have Hugh on the character select screen. He doesnt fit.

Buffs to solve lower level play will carry over to higher level play. Ive found slotting pancea and performance shifter are more than enough for low level play. ....but the new players.... Everyone was a new player at some point and we all managed to get that first character leveled up. Literally thousands of people and hundreds of thousands of characters have made it through the low level play. Endurance starts out a bit wimpy (but still better than live with free stamina) and improves as you level up and get more enhancements and slots. Its lets you improve as you level instead of being top tier out of the gate. Also, put an end reduction in your attacks. 1 end reduction SO in an attack that costs 10 is equivalent to about 50 seconds of what that .06 reduction would save and you get the savings every single attack.

I took boxing, tough, weave and cross punch on my MMs respec today and only boxing got 6 slots. I dont plan to click boxing just as much as i dont plan to click any auto power. I put the superior winter set in it and get solid set bonuses. Its not easy to get melee attacks on ranged characters and the fact that its followed by 2 defensive abilities and then a melee AoE ability is huge for set bonuses. If all you see is tough and weave, you are doing yourself a disservice. Even on my brute where i didnt need melee attacks, i took all 5 powers from fighting to improve cross punch. Then i removed my weakest attack from my rotation and replaced it with cross punch. Boxing and kick still went unused as attacks but not without giving them set bonuses to become 'auto' abilities.

You wont lose any names since the system is only in warning mode. The team will notify us if the name release system is going active. Im also confident that they will ensure only properly inactive characters would be affected if they do activate name release. And for whoever happens to read this, name release system isnt the most accurate name for what it does. It would more accurately be called the name reservation release system. If activated, affected character names are removed from reserved status, thats it. You dont lose any name unless someone else actually makes a character with the unreserved name.

I say tie the stealth into only while you are moving and let it stack which makes sense with the power of speed making you a blur. Or have the stealth all the time and not let it stack with other stealth effects. And since we already have the second option and alot of people are unhappy with it, how do they feel about the first option? Im aware it used to give stealth all the time and stack with other stealth effects but standing still, with glowy feet, granting stealth because you are so fast made no sense at all. So from the perspective of movement grants stacking stealth or non stacking stealth at all times, which would be preferable?

Ive been using necromancy lately and it seems pretty good. I paired with cold domination so i have shields and debuffs but the henchmen are largely on their own to heal through the second upgrade life steal. Im lvl 49 through contact missions so i have alot of time on the character but not the lvl 50 build yet. I expect to have very durable henchmen and put out a ton of damage. I have to decide between perma soul extraction, personal soft cap defenses or all 3 spectres though. Cant fit all of those into 1 build. I would say necromancy has definitely been boosted into the normal range of usefulness if not even further above. Of course ill probably make my build and then promptly find out i was wrong. Soon(tm)

Looks like a second map got generated in the same instance. That should be an actual different team. Talk in broadcast next time, they should see it. Even more fun is when both teams get deposited inside the same map.

I recall always taking magic origin back in the day because it was easier for me to tell by the icons what they did. Look for the lightning bolt for damage and the alien face for endurance reduction while the names gave a decent hint to the effects. Compared to wetware inc cybermatron monicle of hero booster tech gadget wizardry, ill go with fury of joule.

Primaries are more powerful than secondaries. Just storm summoning happens to have a fair amount of damage in it for a buff set. -
Also dual toy bat. Bonus if it can squeak when i hit an enemy. Dual blackwand would probably look great as it gets swung around.

A Discussion on the State of Development Regarding Gold Side

Several story arcs have something to the effect of 'these events take place in this time frame'. But its still difficult to add content to a city that has been destroyed. Heroes and villains basically travel back in time when they visit praetoria while its the present for gold siders. New content would need to be out of timeline order as mentioned above or have some meddling by ouro where tyrant doesnt blow up the city.- 34 replies

Increase Full Auto Target Cap to 16

I think it would be easier to convince the devs to bump the cap to 16 than it would be to get 16 enemies lined up in a 20 degree cone. *insert Quigley Down Under waiting all morning for 2 idiots to line up meme here* i looked and couldnt find one. -
How difficult would be to make AH account wide?

I dont think all of your characters are loaded all the time. Yes they exist on the server but they arent active when they arent logged in. The server would take a dump if it had to load hundreds of characters for people to fiddle with account wide inventory. Remember the email problems on excel a few months ago? Take that and multiply it by everyones alts on the server. -
Its more possible than u might think if it were done as a free temp power that you can only have 1 of. I would still use it to lower resists that i can cap easily and boost those that are difficult to raise. However, the idea of a power that boosts some and reduces others does have merit. If it were the temp power version it would have to be something like you can revoke it at any time but only get a different one once every 24 hours to prevent switching every mission.

I just wish they would change 'must be on the ground' to 'must be near the ground'. Obviously i cant foot stomp if there is no ground but i can fly near the ground and foot stomp works. Titan weapons arc of destruction smashes the weapon into the ground but does not work if you are flying near the ground. You have to turn off fly and actually plant your feet on the ground to use the ability. Seismic suffers (for me) because of the same reasons. -
We already use the D&D 20 sided dice for our hit rolls, so only every attack in the game is rooted in D&D. Even with that ignored, i was getting ready to suggest almost the same thing with ranged attacks and guns. A freeze ray, flame rifle, energy rifle, a fart gun....i mean dark blast rifle. We have the weapons, we have the powersets, perhaps the 2 will be able to meet someday.

Id be down for the stealth from super speed to stack again while you are moving but the idea that you are so fast you become hard to see while standing still made absolutely no sense.

The rocks fall from the sky or just appear on the target, why would you or the enemy need to be on the ground? Even when it does come out of the ground, its a ranged set. I can make rocks erupt from 80 feet away but only if im touching the ground....nope, its not the set for me. I try to avoid must be on the ground sets when they dont make sense. I can understand target needs to be on the ground and most of the time they are but player needs to be on the ground is dumb. Fly is my movement of choice and i cant have my powers not work. Sucks i had to abandon titan weapons because of it. At least foot stomp works if im flying near the ground or id have to quit super strength too. -
Im thinking either having melee weapons as alternate animations or a clone of the set with a weapon added. So it would be fiery melee + weapon or dark melee + weapon. Like fiery melee + axe, ice melee + mace, dark melee + sword and all the other combinations. Im not sure if existing weapon animations could replicate all of their punchy counterparts but it would take care of balance issues and not being forced into a certain weapon while allowing for elemental damages with a weapon.

I did want to make it with paragon, rogue isles and praetorian police but i was also trying to keep the set with as much that already exists as possible. Only PPD had the variety of units and abilities to flesh out a set without having to add any new models or animations. If the team sees this and makes security instead, then thats still great. MMs could use another set. But from a reuse what already exists perspective, i wouldnt be able to make security without it being almost mercs or almost thugs. The team with new assets though, of course they could make it work.

All new content is no longer solo friendly?

There is another mission setting that is part of a mission and you cant change and i believe its called mission pacing. A mission set to flat pacing will have all enemies be the same level for the entire mission based on your level and notoriety settings. Another setting has enemies at the front of the mission be +1 of your settings and enemies near the back be lower level. There are a few other settings for mission pacing but for you to experience +1 of your setting is due to this. I also experienced 2 Lts and a minion while solo and at x1 player but since i was fiddling around with settings between missions, i had left it on +4 and was facing +5s due to pacing with my henchmen trying to hit a +7 enemy. I gave it a shot but it did not go well. I reset the mission and set it to +0 so i could play heroes and chill.
