Pendulum Damage after change, other stats not compensated
TheZag replied to WindDemon21's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Part of the power did get nerfed while the corresponding stats for endurance and recharge remained the same during its move to an earlier tier. But its not a bug, they did all of this on purpose to make the reworked set balanced. You keep saying 'needs fixed' like its a bug and compare it to every power thats slightly better on an individual basis. In reality its a 'want buffed' suggestion and a better course would be to compare the set as a whole against itself. Does it provide acceptable damage and endurance consumption over 2 hours of teaming or farming? If everyone is saying its pretty good except for that 1 power then its doing better than most sets that have 2 or more skippable ones. Just because its not the most powerful AoE in City of AoE isnt enough reason for a buff. -
Does Vanguard have better portal tech than Portal Corp?
TheZag replied to biostem's topic in General Discussion
I think portal corp uses reverse engineered generation 1 portal technology and vanguard either has operational original components or the portal generator is further under ground and they are using something more refined than gen 1 portals to get just the portal on the wall with the rest of the equipment elsewhere. -
I do agree that praetorian maps look ok without 'stuff' but also the complete lack of stuff in many rooms is somewhat out of place. A few computers or some lab equipment wouldnt be the end of the world. But we're talking praetoria so maybe it would be the end of the world.

Was an incarnate tutorial in the suggestion somewhere? I played on live but i was free to play during the incarnate stuff. I was actually considering subscribing again a few days before the announcement but i waited and ended up locked into non subscribed mode for the remainder of the retail run. After finding homecoming, the incarnate system was the most confusing part. From it being in a sub-menu from the powers tab to not knowing what i needed and then not knowing where to get the items. There are plenty of resources outside of the game if you know where to look - which i didnt at the time. My first character had hybrid unlocked before i ever figured out what to do. And when i finally started crafting incarnate powers, i had enough stuff to get T3 in alpha and lore. Of course each persons situation is different, but for me it took awhile to touch the incarnate system even though i had ran quite a few iTrials - and earned the reputation of being quite the face planter in the process. Some sort of ingame 'here is how you craft and equip an incarnate ability' is all i really think the system needs. It could use some polish but it doesnt really need major changes.

I might come home to GenericMan but he is loosely inspired by this. I had the idea of how many characters could i represent in a single costume, so i did some searches. I think he is sufficiently different in name and appearance. Even though i came up with the idea on my own, it did already exist in some form.

To expand on this a bit... Disney sued an elementary school fundraiser because they played a Disney film for the kids during the event. I believe they sued for an amount in excess of what was even earned in the fundraiser. Bad publicity got them to reverse course and they ended up giving a donation to the fundraiser. But its wasnt even about the money. Entities that believe their property is being infringed on are almost required to sue in order to prove the property hasnt been abandoned - even if they arent seeking monetary damages. Ever heard of name brand Asprin or escalators? Those were both names that were lost because the companies didnt properly protect their brand. They became generic and freely usable in the public domain. I dont expect the mouse to take notice of what we have going on but with their continual purchases of sci-fi, fantasy, and comic franchises, we dont need to poke them either.

Replace is such a permanent word. If the work is being done to add new missions, might as well keep the old ones too. Alot of people dont appreciate content getting removed.

I think your first pack can be at a discount and the more you buy will increase the price. If you buy more than 4 in a 72 hour period, all your inf gets drained across your entire account. Clearly this is the way to achieve balance.

The 1 2 3 4 chat tabs? 1 is NPC dialogue so i can remove their spam from the main window but still see cutscene captions. 2 is rewards so i can see my xp without it spamming my main chat window. 3 is event messages for hero, villain and praetorian so i can find whats happening on the server without scrolling back through all the chat. 4 is damage dealt so i can see my damage without it scrolling by at light speed while mixed in with the rest of the combat log.

Would nudging the winter event's duration be an option?
TheZag replied to CraterLabs's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Even if the actual event goes away, leave the snow through february. -
I was referencing the thread as a whole, just happened to be after your post. It reminds me of stories that my buddy who transferred from excel used to tell. He hasnt played in awhile but it seems the goings on are still going on.

Which is broken: Power Monitor or Evolving Armor?
TheZag replied to Erratic1's topic in General Discussion
Bio armor still has some bugs, but the most notable is in the players favor. Evolving armor gives more stacks than it should sometimes (all the time?). -
Its either not possible or not easy or it would have been done by now. I think not easy is the reason but i too hope for granite armor customization some day.

Trees never cover my league window. U sure u dont have a UI bug? There are plenty of places without trees to form a league

At least it didnt include a link to a scam trying to steal your money this time.

Good news:new players. Bad news: horrid positrons
TheZag replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
New players tend to join the higher population servers. There are less pugs over here on torch but i havent been on a failing team in over a year. -
I didnt read everything so my apologies if its been said. Echo zones dont have NPC mission givers because they cant, they dont have them because they were removed. Ms Liberty is still in Echo Atlas. Or was at least, i havent been there in awhile. An echo zone could have contacts and missions but it probably would cause some issues if someone got the same contacts for both or when having new contacts introduced. I had been away from the game when the zone got revamped and now i know why it feels weird to me - i recalled being at the bottom of the zone (elevation) and working towards the huge wall to get to the top. Starting at the top and working towards the slums felt off but i figured i just chose the wrong missions.

Looks like the damage i took scales with level and AT so it should get to around 62 million x2 if i use a lvl 50 blaster. Thats still less than e+13 though.

It is a fair amount of work for a small reward. The smallest team ive done it with is 5 although less is possible. Many people think it takes a league so they dont bother but a team of 8 is fine. The most ive brought is 21 people i think. There is 2 badges and a few merits and generally not much interest since the reward is so small.
