cant say ive ever seen any drama over forum reputation. it was a useful indicator for me when answering questions to explain more of the basics to a newcomer and skip the tutorial stuff to someone with more reputation (time on the forums). its hard to get even a few hundred rep on the forum and still be a beginner ingame. i think the only time ive ever even seen talk about reputation is when forum badges came for a few hours, like 3 people complained about it, and then they were removed. the resulting discussion was just about the same as this.

How would someone go about extracting that information from the original discs? Im sure we have more than a few copies across the community.

I think Signature Summon: Secretary should take care of it.

Most Arachnos bases are ......optional. With a bit of extra 'exploration' you might have been able to reach those enemies.

Ghost of Scrapyard is very easy to spawn repeatedly. If you can kill him quickly its probably one of the fastest source of solo merits. I've only done it with at least a duo and we killed him for about 300 merits worth in 2 hours. Solo kill speeds might not be fast enough to the point that farming inf in AE and buying merits might be faster. Get a few people helping when they see the repeated Miner strike in Sharkhead messages and the merits can start flowing very quickly.

After im done i could edit out the family references and offer it. The program that applies the patches looks like it can make a patch too. I wouldnt be able to include the legend of zelda rom though so it would be a have/get the rom and apply the patch situation. The second quest is bugged and beyond my ability to repair so im unsure if its even able to be completed. I beat the first quest a few hours ago and the only bug i found was the left and right sides of the hungry goriya sprite are swapped. Unfortunately, after several hours its also beyond my ability to repair but the room functions properly. The pointer is somehow between 2 sprites and i cant figure out how to tell it to look 1 tile earlier or later. I think all thats left is to change the ending message/credits, the triforce that mother brain drops and maybe the zelda character if i find a better fit for metroid.

It seems an odd choice for a scam when you consider airline prices and computer glitches getting a ton of flights canceled recently. We dont need a scam to lose money to an airline, just book a legit flight and it will likely be canceled. Crumpet is working over time though, homecoming should double whatever they are paying him 😉.

Its been awhile since i made my account here. Anyone remember how difficult the 'i am human' check was, or if there is one at all? Limiting new accounts to 1 new topic and 5ish replies per hour for their first day could give the time needed to weed out the spam bots without affecting actual human new accounts much. Not that this needs to happen, just that it might help in the spam bot situation.

Confront on a scrapper is pointless as a power pick to me. Its meant to pull an enemy off an ally in trouble when i can use any of my attacks to gain agro on that enemy instead. If my attacks cant gain agro then confront probably wouldnt either. Ive even tried 6 slotting the presence pool taunt and it was pointless - i couldnt gain any meaningful agro. I think clicking a taunt power should outweigh punchvoke but thats a different conversation. For me the power is skippable and thats ok to free up a pick elsewhere. There are times where i would take it but that would only be for a set bonus, not for the taunt.

I wanted to do something special for my nephew and came up with putting him in a video game hack that is personalized for him. This is a particular challenge for me since i dont have much knowledge of programming other than watching several youtube videos that were for entertainment, not educational, purposes. I still wanted to do something and i found several utilities for The Legend of Zelda on the NES. I originally wanted to do something like 'Aiden sneaks into the pantry to steal some food' but it turns out that there is a ton of artwork involved and my artistic skills for sprite work arent the best, especially in 16x16 pixels. So i went another direction to do a zelda/metroid mashup using mostly community available sprites. But there were no metroid themed powerup item sprites available so i have been going through and changing everything to its metroid equivalent. Due to how zelda handles sprites, the sword item sorta needs to remain as a sword. I wanted to make it into the arm cannon from metroid but then the shooting sword would shoot the arm cannon. However, the bow and wand items are arm cannons now and shoot the power, plasma and spazer beams. Ive made replacement items for everything except the food/meat so far. One of my bigger projects was to change the title screen to say The Legend of Aiden. Im sure someone with experience could do it a whole lot faster but it took me probably 20 hours to figure out how to use the editor and finally do the edit. The editor doesnt completely display all the tiles in order as seen while playing so i had to unscramble some of them and then edit to my liking and then place them back in the original out of order. Here is a picture of my first success. further work on the title screen here are the changed items (a few are only renamed) and some are going to be changed again later The entrance to level 1 Kraid replacing Aquamentas as the level 1 boss Save the animals !!! I spent too long trying to figure out how to change the triforce on the equipment menu. Finally got it done.

I dont like maps with branching elevators, especially when its a kill all. I usually get everything on the first pass but when something gets missed its a pain to backtrack and retrack and backtrack and front track and side track through all the elevators to find a few enemies.

Hide the generator and make something cool around the glow.

I heard that Snarky was a prince of some country that had funds in escrow that needed unlocking for 10k. Now he wants a billion....economic inflation is a cruel mistress.

I saved my team from a wipe when a large ambush was coming and we had already agro'd another group and we were low on health from the previous spawn.....once. Once in nearly a year and a half was i on the right character at the right time for dimension shift to be useful. The power looks cool but is rarely useful and didnt make the cut in the respec. Shrink down the size of the sphere, add some swirly stuff from speed boost or fulcrum shift and make it into the wind control pet.

Vorpal is my favorite since it doesnt require a target. I would probably feel differently if the cone wasnt absolutely huge though. Smaller sized cones would probably suffer a good amount if they didnt require a target. At least we are guaranteed that 1 target will be inside the cone for it to fire. I like to pick a target in the back of a spawn as i move into range with the cone qued up and have it fire from as far away as possible to get as many inside as i can. That wouldnt be possible if they all no longer required a target.

Im saying its too easy not too hard. I kill all the spawns and wait forever for the next wave. I brought a team and they thought the event was broken with the eternity between waves. And if 1 mob on the last wave runs off, the event never restarts. The cabal witches are the main offender since they fly away and park under a cliff or over a hill. Its less of a problem when players are present but when the event runs on its own, a few cabal or fir bolg are almost guaranteed to survive somewhere and prevent the event starting again.

The monster war in croatoa would be great with a few fixes. The waves of monsters have too long of a time gap between them and they are lvl 30something instead of leveless. And it doesnt reset the event timer if a single event mob is still alive at the end (which happens alot since the Grim Vale is stacked in favor of Cabal/Fir Bolg and a mob or 3 will run away at low hp and never return. It makes an otherwise great event that culminates with 2 giant monsters duking it out into a much more lackluster event that people have actually said 'its not meant for players'.

Ive opened like 15 super packs since ive been on homecoming so im averaging less than 1 a month at this point. The throttle added to keep excel from continually lagging isnt a problem to me.

Im not for or against the suggestion. But you are trying to convince the person that moved the power to a lower tier on purpose and changed its damage on purpose and changed how it targets on purpose, who also plays the game and knows that powers have endurance costs and recharge times, that they somehow forgot to change endurance costs and recharge times on accident during a powerset revamp. People arent perfect and things can get missed but the more likely situation is it was on purpose. You can keep saying it needs fixed but if the person that made the changes doesnt consider it broken then you likely wont get very far. I could be 100% wrong and im also a guy that hasnt had any suggestions implemented so my help may be the exact opposite. You do you though, i just dont think the needs fixed argument will be a successful one.

I think they only point it out on rare occasions since the team is generally filled but its probably still the place to be on record if you are offering your skills.
