  1. I don't. I find myself turning off XP fairly often trying to make sure I don't outlevel safeguards and the story arcs I want to do. 30-35 is kind of a dead zone where I might consider it if I think about it, but I never do. I do stay in Patrol XP constantly.
  2. 2 Ultimates 9 super reds 9 super purples My old strategy was half small purples, half small reds; that buys two minutes which is usually enough. Then I ran it on my ice/cold controller; even with cold doing what it does and Jack basically a perfect little tank, it took forever to whittle the Honoree down; this after getting slammed with CoW. Now, no more messing around. I've only done it on a psi/wp scrapper with the new loadout; she probably could have gotten by without any inspirations, but it's good to set a precedent. On squishies/ranged characters, pick off the portals and Rikti and wait out the ambushes before tackling the AVs. Melee goes straight for Holtz, knocks out the portals, then finishes off the Honoree (usually knocking the rest of the Rikti out with AoEs along the way).
  3. I'm not familiar with Savage or Water, but this is my main struggle with Psi Melee. It's a general buff to all your attacks, but using your best single-target attack kills it and locks you out for the full duration. So is it worth holding back on Greater Psi Blade to get more damage out of a couple more powers before using up Insight? I don't know. I've given up trying to figure it out. Now I just run my rotations, and if I get some extra damage from insight, nice. (Also, Boggle took me a while to wrap my head around. You're giving me a bonus to attack a confused enemy? Now I think it's there so you can get some benefit from using Boggle on AVs and similarly unconfuseable enemies.)
  4. 1313 and done(ish). Never did get Bloody Hands or Reformed+gladiator, and still waiting on the Nemesis event to come back around.
  5. I did the Galaxy tutorial in i21 beta and immediately turned off voice acting, and that was one of the first tweaks I made on coming back to Homecoming as well. I think the Galaxy tutorial is basically useless; IIRC, you jump over a pit, choose hero or villain, kill a couple Shivans, then twiddle your thumbs until NPC airstrikes kill the giant Shivan for you because your level 1 attacks do absolutely nothing against it. (Oh, and in the before times you "bought" a free badge from the market, but no more of that.) I think I did the Galaxy tutorial on one character and have gone back to Outbreak for the rest. It's a shame, because the Praetorian tutorial is beautiful, but, unfortunately, tied to being a Praetorian.
  6. Yes, Provost Marchand's third arc gives this souvenir instead of one appropriate to it. If you do the last DA arc you'll get a second copy.
  7. I generally plan two respecs: One at 27 when I start slotting enhancements that will go up to 50 in every power, then at 50 to get purples in. I also allow for a respec at level 12, when I stop relying on boosters and slot enhancements, if I didn't look at my build leveling up at some point up till then and made a mistake that can't be fixed. I'm usually willing to grit out mistakes I made until one of those natural respec points comes along. Back in the before times, I think I rebuilt my peacebringer 5-6 times before finally coming up with something I was satisfied with. Most characters weren't that hard.

    Buddy Cop

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I think you can substitute talking to him in Dominatrix's arc for Heather's.
  9. Weird if that was the case. The SSAs were free to subscribers back in the day, so it was no more paywalled than the Incarnate system which had (checks) a couple badges tied to it.
  10. I love the writing on Max as a hero. "I can tell you where the Knives' base is. Taking it out is not going to be easy, so I can offer help from three Malta agents. Unfortunately, you'll have to spring them from custody." "Pass. Let's just do the thing." "Fine, works for me." Unfortunately, SCORE/Homecoming went and tied a badge to Max's optional missions. By time I found that out, it was just one more in the pile of badges I had decided not to do, but it did kill the last chance I would change my mind.
  11. Items in brackets are non-Incarnate stories that still continue the Praetoria War story. Mender Ramiel arc Apex TF Tin Mage Mk. II TF [Sutter TF] Behavioral Adjustment Facility trial Lambda Sector trial Keyes Island Reactor trial Underground trial TPN Campus trial Minds of Mayhem trial Dark Astoria/Mot story arcs Dilemma Diabolique trial [Who Will Die finishes around this time] Belladonna Vetrano arc Magisterium trial [Provost Marchand / Mr. G arcs] Number Six arc Justifications (spoilers!):
  12. My main has 1.9 billion inf, plus about 800 million (as of last night) in unclaimed auction sales. Then I've probably got close to another billion between the rest of my characters or in emails.
  13. You could earn the Entrusted badge/portal before, but it required 25 to enter. Later lowered to 14 with the free-to-play launch.
  14. When Ouroboros was introduced, it required level 25+ to access, so it has most of the high-level (city) zones, leaving out Croatoa and Brickstown, and one low-level zone for each side (Atlas and Cap). The main list was never expanded, but they added an echo portal for Galaxy when it was blown up, and later DA when Mot ate it. It's mostly fine, although I think IP is kind of redundant and Steel being missing feels wrong.
  15. /selectbuild # Has a one minute cooldown and puts all your abilities on max cooldown.
  16. Rogues use villain names, so Demonic is correct. If you switch back to hero or vigilante, it'll change to Exorcised. (Not sure why you'd have Coldblooded instead of Coldhearted. Unless maybe it's something that takes zoning or relogging to see the change.)
  17. Each power accolade has two versions, hero and villain. Vigilantes can only earn hero accolades, rogues can only earn villain accolades. However, they can work on the requirements so they'll automatically grant upon switching sides. If you switch sides, you're granted the equivalent of any power accolades you have, regardless of whether you meet the normal requirements. E.g., if you have Demonic you will be granted Archmage. If you switch sides, your badges may change title. E.g., if you have Demonic it will change to Exorcised. 18. Yep, reflecting that it's earned from the movie-themed Summer Blockbuster event.
  19. A skeleton playing the trumpet. Not entirely sure what the thing on his back is. (Didn't see there were two pages/Frostbiter's reply when I answered.)
  20. The first line of the song is "Give me a home where the buffalo roam." Every time I look at that set in Mids, I start singing the song. At least I know it's intended.
  21. Build Up. Assassin's Blades. Miss. Especially annoying when done from Hide out of combat. In combat, misses happen. Out of combat, I'll wait for Build Up to cycle and take the autohit. (Only when soloing, obviously.)
  22. No. Well, in theory. I ran a doppelganger mission on beta and the Doppelganger still died with no help from me.
  23. I like the Hover animation, but it does look kind of silly when you're outrunning cars (normal-speed ones, not the old ladies in Paragon City).
  24. This is not fixed, for NPCs at least. I ran the Miss Thystle's Plea hero tip, and the doppelganger automaton killed itself with me needing to do anything. (Was it ever a problem for players? I don't seem to notice my blaster's health moving off max just standing around.)
