  1. Tactics from leadership will help with this. If you get your incarnates unlocked, putting Clarion in your Destiny slot will prove even more helpful. Apart from that, any IO sets that increase your status resistance will reduce the duration of confuse and other such effects.
  2. Just finished the Episode 1 Arc. and plan to play the rest over the next day or two. Do you want a critique/review of these, or are you just linking them here for interested players that might want to try them? I've taken to asking before I do a review of a story arc, because I've found that creators do not always take kindly to unsolicited critiques. In any event, thanks for the link. I'm always looking for new story missions to try out.
  3. Quite possibly. He does have the wealth of an entire country at his disposal, along with the largest supply of vibranium in the world. Doctor Doom would be a contender, as well, being the ruler of his own country. Then you have Tony Stark, Reed Richards, etc. Not really sure if Reed monetizes his inventions the way Tony does, though. It's been a good long while since I read any fantastic four comics. πŸ€”
  4. Okay, I've been following this thread since my initial reply. I still don't understand why people object to being streamed, but you do, of course, have a right to decide for yourself what you find offensive. I must say though, to @Bionic_Flea and anyone else hoping for steamers to politely ask them for permission to stream them, I think you've got to reset your expectations. The average human on this sad planet doesn't give a tin-shit about preserving your feelings or respecting your privacy. This is doubly true on the internet. To be completely honest, I've never seen the appeal of streaming games or watching games, apart from maybe checking out a new title to see if you might want to purchase it (although, my kid binge watches them like it's actual entertainment, or something). It may just be a generational thing and I've officially entered "Old-Dude-is-Old" phase of my life. πŸ˜›
  5. I always have camera shake disable. Love that option.
  6. I recycle IO's with unslotters, swapping them from toon to toon. I also sell everything I find on the AH for 1 inspiration. Yes, I know many of you make billions off of people like me. Great. More power to you, as long as I have to interface with that stupid AH as little as possible. πŸ‘
  7. I'm of two minds about it. On the one hand, I've no desperate need to have a bare-chested female option (I do have MANY other costume and clothing options I very much desire, though). On the other hand, I find it patently absurd that the bared male chest is considered acceptable, but the bared female chest is somehow vulgar and offensive- a purely sexist position, if ever there was one. A chest is a chest. The fact that we hide it and make it taboo to be seen in public is probably what fools us into thinking it vulgar, in the first place. Human beings are so ridiculous, sometimes. πŸ˜„
  8. Cool idea, conceptually speaking, and I do approve. I think it has a low chance of being implemented, mainly because healing powers are considered to be essentially unnecessary in this game (not by me- I still appreciate them- but it's a commonly held position among the player base).
  9. I believe the answer is yes. I'm not sure what the particular reason for that is, though. I'm not a very dedicated power-builder, so my knowledge in this area is sadly defincient, I'm afraid. Having said that, I HAVE taken Force Master on a blaster and have enjoyed it. If the set appeals to you, take it for a test drive. If you don't like it you can always respec at a later date.
  10. I do get your enthusiasm. Those clothes are really great looking costume pieces and I would also love to have them (Along with a long list of other options). I think we just have to be patient, as Homecoming is a small team that is prioritizing mechanics over aesthetics in their project list (which I think is reasonable, considering).
  11. One of the best defensive sets in the game- especially if you hate running out of endurance. πŸ‘
  12. Honestly, she probably just could have gone in with Hopkins and the two of them could've taken care of it themselves. I mean, have you ever fought those two? Holy crap. 😬 But, why break a sweat when she could send Hero 1 and company to take care of her light work? 😁
  13. Huh. That's one of my favorite melee sets. Weird. But, such things are subjective, I suppose. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  14. On the one hand, you're right, of course. On the other hand, I do wonder what you and MrWrk are worried about. I'm not saying there isn't something to be worried about, mind you. I'm just wondering what the something could be. πŸ€”
  15. My opinion: Writing was great. Animation was great. Voice acting was great. Looking forward to the next episode.
  16. On the one hand, that's likely true. But, on the other hand... man, you've got to have some serious narcissism to put that much effort into it. πŸ˜›
  17. Lately, chasing badges has made me eager to log in. It's not something I really tried- or even thought much about, until recently. Chasing badges has proven to be more engaging than I thought it would be. What got me started on it was the idea of getting those passive accolade powers, but I was surprised at just how challenging it can be (for example) to get the Taskforce Commander badge solo. Those supervillains can be incredibly tough to fight by yourself, even set at +0/1. I tried Manticore TF last night and couldn't beat Hopkins without picking up some cheaty boosts from P2W. THEN, when I finally beat him, I realize I have to beat him again- along with Countess Crey. *GULP* It was quite satisfying when I finally succeeded (albeit, I did have to cheat pretty aggressively with those P2W boosts). I only have two more task forces to complete and then I get my badge/accolade. There are just a lot of things in the game to keep you occupied and engaged. Badge hunting alone may keep me going for years, as I reckon there are probably a thousand or more badges, and I haven't even collected 200 yet. I also recently joined a super group that seems really cool. I'm looking forward to getting more involved with that as I settle in. πŸ‘
  18. Yep, that's a totally reasonable position. I do try to run down and neutralize all of my knockbacked foes, though sometimes it's difficult to track them in the scrum. I can understand moving onto the next spawn to avoid chasing around the pinballs if that annoys you. πŸ‘
  19. Yep. As Virtual Green said, it's under Chest Detail / Symbols. Void Sanction is the name- scroll down to the bottom of the tab to find it.
  20. I'm fairly pleased with how this guy turned out: Alien Avenger
  21. If I'm in a group, I will often try to get directly above the foe when I use my knockback powers (I love knockback. Bouncing enemies around is super fun), but I don't get TOO worried about mitigating my knockback effects. In narrow fighting spaces, like tunnels and such, I can't get over the foe, so this is unavoidable and my nuke seems to send them flying, regardless of where I fire it from. Masterminds annoy me, because all the minions running around blinds me and makes targeting and maneuvering in fights confusing for me. I don't ask masterminds to not use their pets though- or to leave the group. They have the right to enjoy the game their way. They aren't obligated to play something else or not use a particular aspect of a power that they enjoy because it bothers me. If you really, REALLY hate knockback, you need to play a controller with a good lockdown ability, like earth control. If you don't like to play controllers, well... then I think you just need to grin and bear it (the knockback, I mean), honestly. JMO.
  22. Cool idea. Seems easy enough to implement with existing assets. As a dedicated beer-drinker IRL, I've often wanted to RP kicking back with a cold one, in-game. I also run a fair number of toons that smoke cigars (although, oddly, unlike beer, I loathe the smell of tobacco IRL and have never smoked anything. Go figure).
  23. This could be correct. I guess we'll see. Most people looking to try something new would rather go forwards than backwards, though- and so I think they will not arrive at City of Heroes unless they exhaust other, more modern options. The next year or so should give us an idea of what (if any) impact there may be.
  24. I always write one, eventually. Sometimes I come up with a look and a power concept for a character, but haven't got the background details worked out. Until I get those solidly fixed in my brain, I'll just put (WIP) in the field. Now, as to the why of it? CoX is (for me) very much an RPG experience. Granted, I rarely RP in pickup groups (unless the other members of the group are doing it- I don't want to make random teammates uncomfortable with my play-acting. πŸ˜„), but even when playing solo I'm imagining myself as the character that I'm playing. I've been into tabletop RPG's as a hobby for so long now, that it's almost second nature to me. That's my reason. If anyone else doesn't like to do it, that's cool. Not everyone is into roleplaying, so to each their own. This game can accommodate a lot of play styles so feel free to enjoy it your way. πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘
  25. Cool. 😎
