  1. I love this power set on my Brute. Now I may have to try a Stalker version. Great guide! 😎👍
  2. I agree. A character with superspeed (superman, flash, whatever), would just pick the person up and zip them to the entrance, for example. Yes, it would give you whiplash in real life, but that's not how comic book physics work. Otherwise, everyone that ever got hit with crashing uppercut would have a shattered spine after that first hit. Not sure if it's possible to code a fix for this, but I would certainly be in support of it.
  3. Honestly, I didn't even think you could boost a purple enhancement. Interesting.
  4. There are lots of ways to do it. I'm not wedded to any particular idea. Really, it's mostly about waiting to see if there's much of any interest in Praetorian RP at all. Time will tell (no pun intended) on that point.
  5. So many! And they all look so cool! I find my free time greatly (and somewhat unexpectedly) restricted these days, but I'll try and check some of these out. 😎👍
  6. Badge Title: Lord of the Grind 😝
  7. Yes, I agree- it doesn't have to be time travel. You can develop your own bespoke cannon. Maybe it's a different reality than Upsilon Beta 9-6, in a Praetoria where they figured out how to take a Portal to Primal Earth at the height of Praetoria and things developed differently from there (No all out invasion by Cole to conquer it, etc.). There are other ways to justify doing standard PC/Rogue Isles content with a Praetorian character, without playing it as time travel.
  8. If you're a normal guy with martial arts and an assault rifle, and you're dangerous enough, you might still go in there ( in solitary confinement- for your own protection). Batman and the Punisher are "normal" humans. But if they existed in the COH universe and decided to go bad, you can bet we would want them locked up in the Zig. Those guys can break out of any normal facility, and they can do a LOT of damage.
  9. I think, right now, they're just sounding out ideas and looking for people that are (generally speaking) looking for Praetorian-related RP. It sounds like any and all types of Praetorian Earth RP are on the table, perhaps using the Discord as a hub to gather and coordinate this? I am somewhat interested in this, myself, and have been lurking and watching posts to see where it goes, etc. Will be joining the discord to take a peek around, as soon as I post this.
  10. @Zect Well, I have a tier 3 incarnate brute that is Savage/SR, and I run everything at +4/8, so I certainly agree with you that it is totally doable. Just trying to figure out what the OP might be missing in their build, that is causing them difficulty. Honestly, if they haven't played in a while, it may be nothing more than being a bit out of practice. I know when I go on hiatus and come back to it later (say after a few months), I always have to put myself into "AE Boot Camp" and get used to playing my power sets again.
  11. These are pretty cool. Nice work!
  12. I believe that was sarcasm, my frang. Apart from that, no idea. 🤷‍♂️
  13. Ranged and AOE are getting you. You want to be overclocked into the 50's on everything. If you can get it into the 60's, that's even better. Could also be the enemies that you're fighting, etc. The Rularuu eyeballs, for example, have massive +to hit bonuses that tend to negate a strong defense based set. At +4/8 you're going to want that +1 level adjustment for your Alpha slot, which I think you get at the tier 3 level?
  14. Sure. I hear what you guys are saying. I don't take the power, myself, for those very reasons. I was just speaking out in support of those that would like a bit more visual customization and who do use the power. I do think having crystal/magma forms to match the customization choices we already have, makes sense. I imagine, eventually, the devs will probably take a crack at doing that. Just depends on how complicated it is to code alternate forms for the power.
  15. I'm actually not opposed to this solution, either. Anything that would allow some customization of the same, bland model would be welcome. I think that's the thing that bothers me the most about it, actually. COH has one of the most customizable character creators of any game ever made. I think it was a bizarre decision to force everyone to change into 1 specific, generic-looking rock monster. I get what its supposed to be modelling, but I think it's a bit unimaginative just to give every character with this particular power the same bland appearance.
  16. @Rudra So you think that if some of the players didn't use that skin, for that particular power, on their particular characters- even if you and the other players that like the monster skin could still choose to use it- you think that would damage your (or players like you) play experience or otherwise disenfranchise you in some fashion. If the above is not true, I can't think of any other reason why you would object to me deciding to "strip the power set of its identity", as you put it. It's my character. What does that have to do with you?
  17. Well, it sounds like you want to force me to conform to a particular appearance in order to conform to your opinion about thematic aesthetics. I just can't figure out why you feel like you need me to do that. Or how it damages your own play experience if I don't. But, whatever.
  18. @Rudra I think you may be misunderstanding me. I don't want to remove the Granite appearance for everyone. I just want the ability to choose a "No effects" option in the dropdown, for those of us that don't like the look of it. That way the people that like the rock form can keep using it for their character but, those of us that don't, could choose to turn if off and just keep the normal appearance of our costumes. Just to clarify what I'm advocating for here.
  19. I'd like to be able to disengage the This argument does not convince me. We have stone texture costume parts we can use to simulate granite (and they look better). If I just want my normal costume to simulate the stone armor powers, I don't see why I shouldn't be allowed to do that. After all, there are plenty of power sets now that have minimal or no effects options. There's no reason Granite should be any different (unless, of course, there's a practical coding reason that the effect cannot be de-coupled from the active power). JMO
  20. Yeah, it's just more of the same. *blank* AT is bad, because *blank*. Then following up with several paragraphs of nonsense, which demonstrate that the OP understands little to nothing about the mechanics of the game (even after having it explained to them multiple times in past similar threads).
  21. Hilarious. And the fact that you're a member of The Watch, just makes this even better! 😄🤘
  22. @ShardWarrior What shard are you on? This base is amazing!
  23. I don't know what any of that means.
  24. It just comes with the territory when running PUG's. Also, this game is incredibly easy. If you can't pick up the slack from having someone drop and still succeed at the mission, you need to practice more. And this is coming from someone who is a relatively mediocre player, all things considered.
