  1. I know Snarky said to take it however you want, but you shouldn't (IMO) take it personally. Nosferatu often see people through this lens. 😄🤷‍♂️
  2. Well, I don't actually disagree with you that it creates an imbalance that usually squashes the fun and challenge for the lower level characters. As I noted, that has really (for the most part) been my experience as well. When I really think about it, I'd say it's even more noticeable when I've got an incarnate and we're running missions in the mid to upper lvl 40's. In that scenario, I often actually restrain myself because I realize I'm nuking all the mobs before everyone else can get so much as a hit in and, yes, this is inherently uncool and annoying for the other players trying to enjoy the game at their native level. Really though, (for the time being, at least) I think the solution is primarily to do as the OP suggests and ask for team members not to be above a specific level range, and then to boot anyone that doesn't comply or get the memo. I don't know what can realistically be done about it, apart from that. Maybe put in a setting the person running the mission can pick, kind of like hard-mode, except it goes the other way and excludes incarnate lvl characters, and/or characters with "X" number of enhancement sets when you tick the box?
  3. Well, if you have any sway with them, try to convince them to release at least some of the names they aren't using. I agree with you that's a bit of a douchebaggy thing to do and not the reason the Devs provide us with 1000 character slots per account.
  4. Man, some of these images are just really, really cool! I Iove the one where he's blasting goons with his eye beams while throwing them around, and the one where he's delivering the KO punch to the giant monster. It's clear you have a great love for this character of yours. Hope you're having a great time playing him!
  5. Well, I don't know, Flea. For some reason, I feel you might be biased here... 😄
  6. @honoroit I'm gonna come clean here: Most of us play on Everlasting, instead of Excelsior, because we are intimidated by your great fame and renown. It appears you are a victim of your own success, Figs. 🤷‍♂️
  7. Unintentional gold star suggestion? 🤔😁
  8. Okay, you rage-quit. But if the stoned guy wasn't chill about it, was he really stoned enough? 🤔🤷‍♂️
  9. It's a fun idea. I approve. 😄👍
  10. I'm not opposed to migrating the set to Scrappers. I will say that, like yourself, I also view Street Justice as well... at least being able to be interpreted as a form of mild, superhuman strength. It's hard to not attribute some level of this to crushing uppercut, which causes the victim of said attack to literally rocket into the air and violently bounce off the ceiling. Plus, if on the outdoor maps, they may be ejected some 30 feet or more into the sky. 😄
  11. Chairman Meow is most disappointed in your lack of loyalty to the CCP (Cat Communist Party), citizen. You should be advised that there will most certainly be an investigation into this matter. 😾 P.S. Personally, I think the issue is less people making thousands of accounts simply to hoard names and more that lots of players create characters to try the game (or to try certain powersets), then abandoned the game and/or the characters, and the names are just sort of floating in limbo. I have no data to support this theory, it's just my instinctual suspicion. 🤷‍♂️
  12. I don't know a thing about coding/programming etc., so I have no idea whether it would be easy or difficult. Conceptually, though, I support the idea. Having a gang of girl thugs could be a hoot. 😄👍
  13. I have a little bit of this issue in the Arachnos bases, but I love the aesthetic, so I don't mind it so much as the rest of you, I suppose. Where this is actually more of an problem for me is in standard cave maps (not the Cimmerora ones- or even the 5th column tunnels. Those are mostly fine), which have such poor lighting, shading and texturing that it's actually hard to tell where the walls/floors/and ceilings bend and turn. The standard cave map is the worst modelled map in the game, in my opinion. I apologize for this not being completely on topic. I don't want to derail your topic here; honestly, I don't. I just feel that the Arachnos bases are a minor issue compared to the cave map problem.
  14. Some combination of everything suggested above. Also, you can change the animation of the power so that there is no electrical effect, if that is really bothering you for some reason (though I have seen plenty of lightning during wind storms and tornadoes in my time, so I don't think that's necessarily an issue). Alternatively, you could put a note in his bio saying he managed to acquire some technological or magical device during his adventures as a supe (A sonic accelerator, The Boots of Mercury, or whatever BS McGuffin you want to come up with. Such things are common in comic-book mythology, no?).
  15. The thing is, I'm guessing that a lot of people playing at lvl 20 don't even have any enhancements slotted yet (or if they do, it's just a few random things that have dropped from mobs) and are still learning how to play their character and the game. Then you get some dude with a fully-slotted incarnate come in there, maybe also rocking accolade powers. Even with the reduction in bonuses from exemplaring, that incarnate will still be dominating play, killing most of the mobs, causing boredom for the other players if they aren't just there to scoop some xp/levels on the run. The difference here may even be more player experience than mechanical advantage (though I do think there is more of an advantage in playing a well-slotted, exemplared 50 on low lvl teams than perhaps you feel that there is. I've played both native 20's and exemplared 20's in TF's, so I know from personal experience there is a qualitative difference. Of course, most of the time, like many players, at lvl 20 I'm still learning my powersets and only have some random enhancements that have dropped slotted into my powers, so maybe that's the thing that causes the actual difference in play? 🤔🤷‍♂️) The above is anecdotal, in the sense that my opinion comes from personal experience in playing examplared 50's on low level teams and playing native low-level toons on teams that have (or are led by) exemplared 50's. While I do have several 50's that I run successfully at +4/8, I'm no expert on slotting characters (at high or low level) and my successes are mostly the result of working from other players examples, trial and error, or even blind luck.
  16. I'm neither agreeing or disagreeing. For all I know, you could be right. I'm just wondering how you've been able to see these different accounts with the thousands and thousands of names. I can't see anyone's accounts but my own (not that I've tried to examine anyone else's accounts: 1) I wouldn't know how to do it and 2) It's none of my business).
  17. If you're running/recruiting the team, I think it's perfectly acceptable to be specific about your pitch: LFM for lvl 20 radio missions. Please, no one over lvl 20 (or whatever you want to put the cap at). I actually appreciate this kind of clear statement of what you want from a team. I don't want to bring anything to the team that's going to ruin your fun and since you are forming the PUG, something that is often shunned by players (including myself), I think it should be your prerogative to set the parameters. If potential PUG recruits don't like your ground rules, they should (IMO) join a different team. Just one guy's opinion (and this is coming from a guy that mostly likes playing lvl 50's at lvl 50+ difficulty- though I do occasionally want to scratch that itch for low-level play. Not often, but it happens.). Other's can feel free to disagree, I guess, but I personally don't find anything wrong with it.
  18. I don't know if you got a useful answer to your question, but the topic itself has brought me many chuckles and great personal joy. And I need a little levity in my life these days, so thanks. 😄👍
  19. And honestly (Really. This is no hyperbole. I mean it.), some of us love making costumes and outfits so much that we could fill several dozens of costume slots if that many were available. The costume creator (and also the ability to create customized bases) is the main draw of the game for some of us. I know that is hard for some players to fathom, but it's true.
  20. If we're just talking voice, Clancy Brown is always a spectacular choice, yes. I could also imagine Arthur Burghardt, who voiced Destro in the classic GI Joe cartoon in the 1980's being very good at bringing the proper mix of power and menace to Doom.
  21. Maybe they were referring to the character Doctor Doom (though this also seems unlikely)? I dunno. I'm confused on that point, too.
  22. Never played the game, but the trailer looks pretty awesome. And Kate Blanchett is pretty much an auto-watch for me. The tone they're bringing gives me some Guardians of the Galaxy type vibes, and that's never a bad thing (assuming, of course, that they pull it off). 😁
  23. They're going to add new servers? 🤔 I must have missed an announcement. 🤷‍♂️
  24. Well, for me it's still a wait and see kind of thing, for the most part. I do think the detractors (perhaps skeptics, is a better word) further upthread have some valid points though. We'll see how it goes. Given the track record of films involving Doctor Doom and the FF (and also some of the more recent Disney Marvel fare) some skepticism is probably warranted.
  25. Never heard of the character. Sounds hilarious, though! 😁👍
