  1. I don't know a thing about coding/programming etc., so I have no idea whether it would be easy or difficult. Conceptually, though, I support the idea. Having a gang of girl thugs could be a hoot. 😄👍
  2. I have a little bit of this issue in the Arachnos bases, but I love the aesthetic, so I don't mind it so much as the rest of you, I suppose. Where this is actually more of an problem for me is in standard cave maps (not the Cimmerora ones- or even the 5th column tunnels. Those are mostly fine), which have such poor lighting, shading and texturing that it's actually hard to tell where the walls/floors/and ceilings bend and turn. The standard cave map is the worst modelled map in the game, in my opinion. I apologize for this not being completely on topic. I don't want to derail your topic here; honestly, I don't. I just feel that the Arachnos bases are a minor issue compared to the cave map problem.
  3. Some combination of everything suggested above. Also, you can change the animation of the power so that there is no electrical effect, if that is really bothering you for some reason (though I have seen plenty of lightning during wind storms and tornadoes in my time, so I don't think that's necessarily an issue). Alternatively, you could put a note in his bio saying he managed to acquire some technological or magical device during his adventures as a supe (A sonic accelerator, The Boots of Mercury, or whatever BS McGuffin you want to come up with. Such things are common in comic-book mythology, no?).
  4. The thing is, I'm guessing that a lot of people playing at lvl 20 don't even have any enhancements slotted yet (or if they do, it's just a few random things that have dropped from mobs) and are still learning how to play their character and the game. Then you get some dude with a fully-slotted incarnate come in there, maybe also rocking accolade powers. Even with the reduction in bonuses from exemplaring, that incarnate will still be dominating play, killing most of the mobs, causing boredom for the other players if they aren't just there to scoop some xp/levels on the run. The difference here may even be more player experience than mechanical advantage (though I do think there is more of an advantage in playing a well-slotted, exemplared 50 on low lvl teams than perhaps you feel that there is. I've played both native 20's and exemplared 20's in TF's, so I know from personal experience there is a qualitative difference. Of course, most of the time, like many players, at lvl 20 I'm still learning my powersets and only have some random enhancements that have dropped slotted into my powers, so maybe that's the thing that causes the actual difference in play? 🤔🤷‍♂️) The above is anecdotal, in the sense that my opinion comes from personal experience in playing examplared 50's on low level teams and playing native low-level toons on teams that have (or are led by) exemplared 50's. While I do have several 50's that I run successfully at +4/8, I'm no expert on slotting characters (at high or low level) and my successes are mostly the result of working from other players examples, trial and error, or even blind luck.
  5. I'm neither agreeing or disagreeing. For all I know, you could be right. I'm just wondering how you've been able to see these different accounts with the thousands and thousands of names. I can't see anyone's accounts but my own (not that I've tried to examine anyone else's accounts: 1) I wouldn't know how to do it and 2) It's none of my business).
  6. If you're running/recruiting the team, I think it's perfectly acceptable to be specific about your pitch: LFM for lvl 20 radio missions. Please, no one over lvl 20 (or whatever you want to put the cap at). I actually appreciate this kind of clear statement of what you want from a team. I don't want to bring anything to the team that's going to ruin your fun and since you are forming the PUG, something that is often shunned by players (including myself), I think it should be your prerogative to set the parameters. If potential PUG recruits don't like your ground rules, they should (IMO) join a different team. Just one guy's opinion (and this is coming from a guy that mostly likes playing lvl 50's at lvl 50+ difficulty- though I do occasionally want to scratch that itch for low-level play. Not often, but it happens.). Other's can feel free to disagree, I guess, but I personally don't find anything wrong with it.
  7. I don't know if you got a useful answer to your question, but the topic itself has brought me many chuckles and great personal joy. And I need a little levity in my life these days, so thanks. 😄👍
  8. And honestly (Really. This is no hyperbole. I mean it.), some of us love making costumes and outfits so much that we could fill several dozens of costume slots if that many were available. The costume creator (and also the ability to create customized bases) is the main draw of the game for some of us. I know that is hard for some players to fathom, but it's true.
  9. If we're just talking voice, Clancy Brown is always a spectacular choice, yes. I could also imagine Arthur Burghardt, who voiced Destro in the classic GI Joe cartoon in the 1980's being very good at bringing the proper mix of power and menace to Doom.
  10. Maybe they were referring to the character Doctor Doom (though this also seems unlikely)? I dunno. I'm confused on that point, too.
  11. Never played the game, but the trailer looks pretty awesome. And Kate Blanchett is pretty much an auto-watch for me. The tone they're bringing gives me some Guardians of the Galaxy type vibes, and that's never a bad thing (assuming, of course, that they pull it off). 😁
  12. They're going to add new servers? 🤔 I must have missed an announcement. 🤷‍♂️
  13. Well, for me it's still a wait and see kind of thing, for the most part. I do think the detractors (perhaps skeptics, is a better word) further upthread have some valid points though. We'll see how it goes. Given the track record of films involving Doctor Doom and the FF (and also some of the more recent Disney Marvel fare) some skepticism is probably warranted.
  14. Never heard of the character. Sounds hilarious, though! 😁👍
  15. Yep. And you can control-click it to make it autofire, so it's kinda/sort effectively perma. I do that on characters that use it, and I find it provides the necessary mezz protection that I've been lacking up to that point. @WuTang Certainly, I would try it out. If you don't like it after getting Clarion Partial Core, you can always swap it out for Barrier or something.
  16. Yeah, Doom is one of those iconic characters that has to come off a certain way. If you don't get it right, it just won't land correctly (with me, at least) and the entire film will feel off kilter and just sort of "wrong" to me. It's hard to explain. I feel this weird fan-boy connection to Doom, more than the Fantastic 4 proper, because Doom was such a frequent villain appearing in all the other comics that I read loved as a kid. I enjoyed the character so much that I actually followed and read the Doom 2099 series back when that came out (which I thought was a very cool version of Doom and really loved, overall, even if the art was a bit crapolla).
  17. He's a dynamite actor, so I have some small hope that we might finally get a passable version of the (IMO) greatest of Marvels iconic villains. As with all things, I'll watch it and then form an opinion. Keeping my fingers crossed. 🤞
  18. I don't have strong opinions on what the set should be named, but I do love the basic idea. It would be really cool to play D&D type wizard with a magic staff that could shoot lightning bolts, fireballs, and do other cool magic staff-type shenanigans'. 😎
  19. Well, this thing is absolutely crushing at the box office, it seems: https://apnews.com/article/deadpool-wolverine-box-office-2ff49d29c7aa3cf037fb2326abbecd6f#
  20. Not just a great costume, but the name and powerset are also on point! 🤘
  21. Looks great. I don't get MAX, but I'll wind up watching this eventually, by hook or by crook. And I can tell from that short trailer I'll almost certainly love it. But, then, I love almost every DC animated feature that I watch. It's weird. The live action DC stuff is hit or miss for me, but the animated films almost always hit the mark. I don't know why they can't get it going the other way around. 🤷‍♂️
  22. Ha, ha! Have not seen it, but as the first two are among my top 10 movies of all time, your report fills me with hope. 😄👍
  23. Okay, I hear what you're saying. That seems reasonable to me. Thanks for the clarification. 👍
  24. @Rudra Okay, so maybe I'm really not understanding you. For clarity's sake, though, let me just say that I am of like mind with you in feeling that pet customizability that DOES NOT use our personal costume slots would be a better option than one that DOES use our personal costume slots. 👍 I'm also possibly not clear on one other thing, besides: The costume slots that are used- are they automatically taken for MM pets, whether or not you actually play a Mastermind? What I mean is, would players that DON'T run Masterminds still be shorted a costume slot? If the answer is yes, I actually agree with you that this would NOT be a good change. I also don't want to give up a costume slot for a class that I don't play. If that is not the case though, and it turns out that this method is the only way to implement such an option (and I'm also in agreement with you that other methods should be explored before making the change), would you have any objection to implementing the change for Mastermind players that DO want customization of their pets and DON'T mind sacrificing the costume slot?
  25. You don't get to have custom pets now. What's the difference? 🤔
