  2. Also dont forget that ONLY Scrapper/Senty (do scrappers have it? I forget) even have the end boosting power. Not stalkers, who also get shafteds with the lack of kb protection.
  3. Game balance principles. lol. In a game world where Trick Arrow masterminds ARE possible, how can you argue that? AN entire set that has ZERO healing, and also zero buffing (with minor to hit debuffing), while also being pet dependent (sure, petless MMs and all). I'd at least argue that just taking Field Medic should make aid other stronger (stronger on its on, not just when used with FM), and maybe a small AoE when used while FM is active.
  4. Subjectively, there is nothing wrong with SR. But the sentinal powers at least SHOW that the power people are willing to entertain the idea that not even likes Click Mez powers.
  5. I always thought the Scapper taunts should function like a small self buff/ enemy debuff, as you psyche yourself up to challenge one big target. Even if it was just 5% to hit, 15 damage, it would be something, and have it scale of the targets class, so taunting a minion gives next to no bonus, but a Boss gives more.
  6. I don't know. I like the idea, but it seems like the set is trying to do TOO much? Are there even any def or res powers with Heal attached? The only one I can think of is in Nature Affinity, and while it would be good for that power, the set bonuses (to me) would mean I didnt use it anyway. For Granite, sure, it would be ok, but only for the Movement speed. And as pointed out, the end red is poor. Speaking of the unique (the run speed), that just does not scream 'mending bulwark' to me, in any way. And we already have a +run speed unique.
  7. Not saying you AE at all but..this is exactly how AE strikes me, and yet there are people who do nothing else in the game. A cheat death triggering need not be boring..why cant the ball of flame still fire off or whatever, exactly teh same as it does when you properly die?
  8. That hardly helps you find a ninja hostage on a huge map. Just having the name is little use at all, unless you also happen to know how to create a macro to search for him, and even then, it reduces you to running about spamming the 'find person' button.
  9. God, people need to get the hell over this term. Just because some CAN use (I wont say needs, because others here have made logical arguments for self rezzers being fine) an improvement, does not mean power creep. If a power is utterly shit (flurry, anyone?) would you dive into a thread on buffing it and cry about 'oh noes, it is power creep and all my toons will be FORCED to take it, to be the best of the best of the best, Sir!' And what about negative power creep? Like the recent rebalance to Dark Miasma on MMs and Corrs. Quick, you better go advocate a roll back on that chance, since it was changing the sets power! May as well argue every new powerset, power or IO we get is power creep. Let's just change nothing, ever, even if it would help. Ha. Dying on a tank. So every single toon you have, every power they take, every Io set..they are ALL the most effective options ever? Nothing taking cause you simply like or enjoy a power? WHat fun! As Helen said, a change like the toggle proposal is 100% voluntary. If you use it, that is your choice.
  10. I think some ally heals work the same..sorta. I was doing a MO ITF awhile back, and this complete twit of a brute (fire armour, he shoulda stayed in AE) tried to dive in a HUGE mobs of Romans. Then was totally shocked they could hurt him. I saw his health going down and used Absorb pain. Whether due to my brilliant time, a bug, or lag, he lived, despite having zero health and starting to 'fall' in a death animation.
  11. Damn, we better scrap AE then. Right? Right? Kidding aside..why not make this change? Running around that huge KR map in Tina's arc, trying to find the ONE hostage is not fun in any shape or form. I also just saw the reply above, talking about the exact same mission. Wouldnt any macro be 'making the game easier?' Why then CAN we use macros? A mission shouldnt be making you think about the need for a macro, just to make it less annoying. If it does..that is bad design.
  12. Also, talking about redside apparently not the 'right' side..the last few parts of SigArc#1, played from BOTH sides clearly have way more villain help than heroic. The last mission actually has the Patrons on the moonbase with you, and then just LR alone. Pretty sure I didn't see any heroes making the trip up to help save the world (which is super odd, since apparently hero side is so in the right), aside from Penny and her force field thingy.
  13. Exactly how I pictured it working. See above. The no detogglnig would tempt me to take self rez powers, and I usually do anyway, for lack of better options for powers that require no more slots. This. It would let the powers work both ways and provide more choice. Actually now I think more about the idea..Regen should totally HAVE a cheat death mechanic inherently baked into it (at the very very least give it to the regen self rez). it would fit with Wolverine and his (at least in some stories) ability to heal and regen FASTER and he takes more damage, almost starving off death indefinitely.
  14. But having it automatically happen, WITH a heal and period of invulnerability is arguably better than actually dying in the first lace, waiting, being rezzed, using a wakie, and turning toggles back on.
  15. Why would the 'cheat death' rez detoggle you? If you went to 0 hp, auto rez kicked in with the heal/invul period and KEPT toggles on..wow, that is SO far and away better than what we have now. Even just turning travel powers back on after a self rez takes up valuable time when you could be running away or cheming some lucks. The cheat death options sound like a win too me. I'd just (maybe) have the Regen self rez 'clickable' as an extra heal/absorb layer. How would these be any different with a cheat death? You still 'die'..the rez and extra effects just happen automatically.
  16. Super weird, I only found out about this ending a few days ago too. With the same circumstances..went afk, came back Dead and with Statesman standing over me. I did think it was cool, but as you said..a warning would have been nice! According to you. I started the game on CoV (when they were seperate games). To me, the red side is always gonna be right (and with better zones, and far less shitty story arcs).
  17. Seeing how how some people love the travel between zones, some love it and dont even have travel powers, and some wish it would die in a fire.. It would be nice if a contact WARNED you. You talk to Contact X, and they say 'this arc will contain an assload of stupid back and forth, wasting time and is very team unfriendly,' or they say 'this arc will take place entirely within this zone, meaning more time arresting things.' That would at least let everyone select the type of experience they enjoy.
  18. No, it isnt. Low level is about 1-20 right? And playing those sets with +recovery powers is WAY better than ones without. Also, any stalker primary with an AoE can open with it..hardly exclusive to Fire Melee. Burn is also lvl 26..hardly low level. Again, I am not saying either set is bad, but you are vastly over selling it as a lowbie. Also, defence is king, and doubley so on stalkers with lower hp caps, no wanting to get hit as you line up AS.
  19. Saving teh city..that is a stretch for some of those god awful blueside arcs. I forget which, but one has you visit a dude in one end of SKyway, then go talk a guy in teh OTHER end, and then come all the way back. What a load of bullshit time padding. Why does the lore material matter anyway? pretty sure none of our toons where in those comics. We save (and terrorise) the city our own way.
  20. I have a baby fire/fire stalker, and to say it is 'incredible' is well...not true. Maybe AFTER X millions of IOs. But fire armour as a stalker sec is not great at all, out of the box. And fire melee has no mitigation at all.
  21. Why? How about option D is just 'I decline to answer.' That at least gives an idea of people who dont care. Because what we seem to HAVE atm is so much better? The same group of forums people, responding to the same points that less frequent forum users are making? When half of every thread descends in meme posting, people quoting those memes, /Jranger posts, 'don't tell me how to play' replies or the utterly useless 'it must be monday because nerf XXX' posts. Seems like a great way to get a tiny amount of valid, thought out responses too a suggestion. And a lot of bullshit. Nor should it be controlled by a handful (in comparison to the total) of people who are willing to yell on the forums.
  22. Just a suggestion that may have come up already. As people are saying, most people dont use the forums, and those that do, often post in similar threads (I know I have). What about an ingame Poll? Every week, pops up when you log in. Pick A,B,C,D, regarding issue X. The poll is NOT closeable until you submit it. Might not be perfect (alts logging to vote etc) but it might give a better (rough) idea of the 'majority' of players than (mostly) the same forum users.
  23. I dont know..but to me, the fact that the OP farmed 3 (was it 3?) toons to 50 and beyond in a few days, really does not show a huge interest in the game. It shows an interest in AE. Sure, you can argue that doing a toon that way SAVES time, in case you dont like it..but it just seems so boring to me.
  24. So..not sure if this is a bug or a proper change that I missed seeing (I did a search but no results). The end cost of LS is 0.24 end per sec. It used to be (and still is, in Mids reborn)..0.04! Is there any reason for the change? With the aoe panacea proc rate change, it hardly seems OP.
