Villain SSA 1: Allistor - Was the end *really* needed?
Razor Cure replied to Greycat's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Also, talking about redside apparently not the 'right' side..the last few parts of SigArc#1, played from BOTH sides clearly have way more villain help than heroic. The last mission actually has the Patrons on the moonbase with you, and then just LR alone. Pretty sure I didn't see any heroes making the trip up to help save the world (which is super odd, since apparently hero side is so in the right), aside from Penny and her force field thingy. -
Exactly how I pictured it working. See above. The no detogglnig would tempt me to take self rez powers, and I usually do anyway, for lack of better options for powers that require no more slots. This. It would let the powers work both ways and provide more choice. Actually now I think more about the idea..Regen should totally HAVE a cheat death mechanic inherently baked into it (at the very very least give it to the regen self rez). it would fit with Wolverine and his (at least in some stories) ability to heal and regen FASTER and he takes more damage, almost starving off death indefinitely.
-
Why would the 'cheat death' rez detoggle you? If you went to 0 hp, auto rez kicked in with the heal/invul period and KEPT toggles on..wow, that is SO far and away better than what we have now. Even just turning travel powers back on after a self rez takes up valuable time when you could be running away or cheming some lucks. The cheat death options sound like a win too me. I'd just (maybe) have the Regen self rez 'clickable' as an extra heal/absorb layer. How would these be any different with a cheat death? You still 'die'..the rez and extra effects just happen automatically.

Villain SSA 1: Allistor - Was the end *really* needed?
Razor Cure replied to Greycat's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Super weird, I only found out about this ending a few days ago too. With the same circumstances..went afk, came back Dead and with Statesman standing over me. I did think it was cool, but as you said..a warning would have been nice! According to you. I started the game on CoV (when they were seperate games). To me, the red side is always gonna be right (and with better zones, and far less shitty story arcs). -
Hero contacts: stay in your zone!
Razor Cure replied to GastlyGibus's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Seeing how how some people love the travel between zones, some love it and dont even have travel powers, and some wish it would die in a fire.. It would be nice if a contact WARNED you. You talk to Contact X, and they say 'this arc will contain an assload of stupid back and forth, wasting time and is very team unfriendly,' or they say 'this arc will take place entirely within this zone, meaning more time arresting things.' That would at least let everyone select the type of experience they enjoy. -
What I play but never see another of...
Razor Cure replied to Jaguaratron's topic in General Discussion
No, it isnt. Low level is about 1-20 right? And playing those sets with +recovery powers is WAY better than ones without. Also, any stalker primary with an AoE can open with it..hardly exclusive to Fire Melee. Burn is also lvl 26..hardly low level. Again, I am not saying either set is bad, but you are vastly over selling it as a lowbie. Also, defence is king, and doubley so on stalkers with lower hp caps, no wanting to get hit as you line up AS. -

Saving teh city..that is a stretch for some of those god awful blueside arcs. I forget which, but one has you visit a dude in one end of SKyway, then go talk a guy in teh OTHER end, and then come all the way back. What a load of bullshit time padding. Why does the lore material matter anyway? pretty sure none of our toons where in those comics. We save (and terrorise) the city our own way. -

Razor Cure replied to Jaguaratron's topic in General Discussion
I have a baby fire/fire stalker, and to say it is 'incredible' is well...not true. Maybe AFTER X millions of IOs. But fire armour as a stalker sec is not great at all, out of the box. And fire melee has no mitigation at all. -
Why? How about option D is just 'I decline to answer.' That at least gives an idea of people who dont care. Because what we seem to HAVE atm is so much better? The same group of forums people, responding to the same points that less frequent forum users are making? When half of every thread descends in meme posting, people quoting those memes, /Jranger posts, 'don't tell me how to play' replies or the utterly useless 'it must be monday because nerf XXX' posts. Seems like a great way to get a tiny amount of valid, thought out responses too a suggestion. And a lot of bullshit. Nor should it be controlled by a handful (in comparison to the total) of people who are willing to yell on the forums.

Just a suggestion that may have come up already. As people are saying, most people dont use the forums, and those that do, often post in similar threads (I know I have). What about an ingame Poll? Every week, pops up when you log in. Pick A,B,C,D, regarding issue X. The poll is NOT closeable until you submit it. Might not be perfect (alts logging to vote etc) but it might give a better (rough) idea of the 'majority' of players than (mostly) the same forum users.

I dont know..but to me, the fact that the OP farmed 3 (was it 3?) toons to 50 and beyond in a few days, really does not show a huge interest in the game. It shows an interest in AE. Sure, you can argue that doing a toon that way SAVES time, in case you dont like it..but it just seems so boring to me.

So..not sure if this is a bug or a proper change that I missed seeing (I did a search but no results). The end cost of LS is 0.24 end per sec. It used to be (and still is, in Mids reborn)..0.04! Is there any reason for the change? With the aoe panacea proc rate change, it hardly seems OP.

Kowwa Dooty: Modernizing Assault Rifle
Razor Cure replied to Galaxy Brain's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I like this idea. But Dual Pistol cant actually gain bonus damage, it has one -Res power, which is not always 'on' (which totally needs to be fixed too, another matter). I always felt that if you can 'aim' with a fireball etc, why AR (and DP..swap ammo should have been an inherent) doesnt have a Laser Sight or similar click buff. If all the cone/aoe ranges on AR were finally (FINALLY) made the same, then perhaps a closer range/higher dam gimmick could be good on buckshot. Another idea..could also had some possible Lethal DoT _like TW has) to attacks..a bullet is sure gonna make you bleed after all. -
Taskforce (, trial and strikeforce) challenge settings
Razor Cure replied to 0th Power's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Don't forget a KILL ALL option. That totally should gain more merits, because it is directly adding to the time of a tf. Quite a few TFs have low merit rewards, mostly due to how skippable some of the missions are. On the other hand..would/should killing all enemies give a bonus? That vastly (you'd assume) increase rewards from a lot of the older (read: shittier) tf's, like SYnapse and DrQ. Those have SO damn many worthless hunts/kill alls. But should they give more merits (because in those cases, both tfs give a large merit reward, as compensation for shite content) simply for that? -
Task Force and Strike Force teams
Razor Cure replied to Spectre7878's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I see where you are coming from. But..really? If we could invite people mid 'flashback tf' that is just as open to exploiting. Invite someone at the end of Unai's god awful arc and get 60odd merits for no work? Or if they got min merits...WHY invite the friend at all? Better to just have them wait 10 mins and then team with you? Also, would a change like this suddenly make all those people NOT doing flashback arcs (cause them are farming, ae, leveling the normal way etc), suddenly dive into flashbacks? I doubt it. Speaking for myself, I never farm, and do flashback tfs very rarely, and I I wanna do them with friends..well..I use a crazy technique called working out a time together, coming online..and doing said Flashback. -
Task Force and Strike Force teams
Razor Cure replied to Spectre7878's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Still super unfair. The main point of doing Synapse is for TFC, and the merits are just there to make is sorta kinda not really (unless its WTF) worth running. I know I'd totally join Syn on the last mission, knowing I get the badge and minimum merits. The solution to doing TFs with friends is better communication and planning. -
Task Force and Strike Force teams
Razor Cure replied to Spectre7878's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Only in later TFs like STF, RSF, Lady Grey and Cude/Reichsman. Even those, have all been ( I think) solo'd, Anything under those few can be done with almost any AT (obviously better to have at least 2-4 people). -
Exactly the argument I made! lol. I mean, are say..Fire armour melees (with perhaps the best basic heal) suddenly going to be taking stim+aid self+FM, JUST to get an extra heal? WHen they could take tough and weave/whatever pool?
-
I complaining about Field Medic last year sometime, saying that using FM (as it is now, a click) should at the very least removed the Interrupt from Aid Other. And of course..a lot of people claimed the power would be OP and better than 'proper' heals that way. *shakes head* Even if the auto part of FM (with the power itself still being a click), gave some reduction to the int of Aid Self...so you could get away with using less slots there.

Automatic Block Feature with Specific Phrasing
Razor Cure replied to Zeraphia's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The biggest one for me (that is, phrase I'd want automagically blocked) is..ANYTHING that mentions AE. I am sick of people (usually the same toon) begging for AE hour after hour.
