I know this has been suggested a ton. WOuld be super cool to hear from an actual dev/coder person, to at least finally settle the 'super easy fix, but never done' vs 'some obscure code/power reason.'

Please get rid of the Fear effect on Assault Rifle>Ignite
Razor Cure replied to kelika2's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Really? We are gonna argue 'sense' in a super hero game? Admittedly, I HAVE used that argument myself, but on the flip side.. Why do mobs come closer to something taunting them? Sure, it gets their aggro, but wouldnt it make more sense for some (mostly) harmless minion to RUN the hell away from the Tank with full team backup? Why do mobs use brawl attacks in melee, when armed with big guns/fireballs? Why do fire demons take 'normal' damage from fire? Why do fire demons have Invincibility? Why does AR have utterly idiotic mixes of range and cone sizes? The list goes on. The fact is, Ignite would be a great and unique power, if it wasn't already being screwed by teh range and cones of the set, let alone being mostly lethal damage AND the fear affect. -
That would be awesome for like a creepy Ring type girl with a knife!

Because it sticks out as a HUGE issue compared to every other enemy in the game. Nothing else (even the council phasing guys only lasts about 15 secs) comes close. And it really isnt that much of a challenge at all (as I will keep saying). On small teams, you can just all go afk. On large teams, like Manti, it gets super annoying, because in those massive spawns, a few AoEs can knock them into MoG range, which then just slows teh whole team down, trying to kill something that cant be killed. Make their MoG last 15 secs, and be exactly the same amount of def and res. STILL a 'challenge' and it wont just make an entire team go 'Ah, screw that mog.'
-
Maybe it is, but fighting PPs while MoG is STILL stupidly boring. A tank, afk with one attack on auto fire, compared to a blaster, jumping around, kiting, trying not to get hit..has almost exactly the SAME time frame for killing them. Because nearly every attack will miss or do almost zero damage. Is that still a challenge for the tank? Something that is unhittable and almost invincible is not a challenge. Not when some ATs can afk, and the rest simply can run away and wait 2 mins.

I really really notice Lethal vs robots..it is just SO painful to try kill anything. It really stands out on things like Citadel and Hess, where the rest on the Council get shredded by lethal, while the robots just laugh. Even more jarring because gonig up against an 'armoured' or seemingly robot AV (Vandal and Burkholder), the lethal attacks actually do close to 'normal' damage, because the Avs have lower resists to account for more hp. Smashing..not so much, as others mention. I cant think of any specific mobs that feel painful to fight on Smashing toons, it is often less damage than I feel it 'should' be. Compare these two sets (and I play a LOT of scrappers, who have about the best S/L damage) to other exotic types like Fire or the new Energy Melee. Fire melee (and blast) basically do great damage ALL teh time, even versus fire demons, which makes zero sense. Obviously fire has no real secondary effect, but even so. Then the new EM. Has anyone comes up again a SINGLE mob type with Em, and thought 'wow, my attacks are super resisted here!' Because I know my EM scrapper hasnt. Its just amazing damage, all the time. WITH great secondary effects. The S/L sets often have really good secondary effects, but that can make the poor (in some cases) damage stick out even more. My katana scrapper goes BAM on a robot with GoldenDragonly, jumpnig 5 foot in teh air and slamming them down. Wow, thats GOTTA hurt. Oh, he took 80 damage. Looking at the newer sets (some of them), TW and StJ, both have a -res power. And Staff gets -res via combos. I think giving the S/L sets a -res one one power would help quite a bit. Likewise, Lethal really should have at least a few attacks that can make something bleed, with perhaps an unenhanceable, irresistable chance for DoT. Smashing..well..isnt as bad, so not sure what that could get.

The problem with removing Training Enhancements
Razor Cure replied to Tigraine's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
You dislike DFB cause it gets boring (I can see your point) AND because you level too fast? Yet you still mostly use DoubleXP? Yeah, ok then. Why not run DFB with xp off then? Make money, get the buffs, no xp at all. Or form teams to run missions, like KR, SC or the hollows. Chances are, anyone joining around that level wont have any enhancements either. -
Or we could..you know..change the duration to something less stupid? Great argument, you enjoy suffering, so everyone should. Maybe we can have a P2W options: Yes, I LOVE being a masochist and wasting time trying to kill something almost unkillable. Bring on the MOG! Hell NO! A long duration power that makes a boss unkillable is a waste of time, and not really a challenge. Turn it off. There, solved. You can keep playing with old mog, because you don't care. Also, if you don't CARE, why shouldn't it change?

The problem with removing Training Enhancements
Razor Cure replied to Tigraine's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Play till 22 without buying ANY enhancements. Using DFB buffs and whatever you pick up. Totally easy to do. At 22, craft lvl 25 IOs. Slot them. Keep playing that toon. Either you like it, and keep playing, crafting lvl 25s and 30 IOs, all teh way to 50..or... You don't like it. Respec, pull out all those enhancements, and use them on your next alt. If you go all the way to 50, it is SUPER easy (if not a bit time consuming) to respec, pull off a 1-50 amount of enhancements and use them all on your next couple of alts. Buying DO/SOs is just a waste of money. And as you said, origin conflicts make them even more annoying to slot between alts. -
Yes please! Maybe a Ghoul one too? Like the gold side ghouls.
-
Challenging? Really? I can attack till they mog, go up/down a floor, go make tea..come back, and one shot them. That is hardly a challenge. Making something basically unkillable is not challenge. Killing them BEFORE MoG, sure, that takes a bit of tactics and planning, but after? It is just a time sink. Especially comparing PP Mog to other PP tier9s, mog is just far and away better. Get rid of it.

Tell that to Time and Poison and Traps and Trick Arrow and Storm. All those get control (ish, in some cases) powers in their secondary. And Time on a troller is SUPER awesome, have the way to stack hold a boss in 2 hits, in two different ways. Wait, what? Just cause other sets offer buffs, that means another set shouldnt get them? SO why do we have say..sonic and therm? Both buff sets. And those 3 ATs also get traps..which is buffs, debuffs and control. Dark AFfinity is a really good set, and one I would LOVE to play on corrs. The only semi problem I found with it is the weird recharge values of powers. Its like the devs were thinking about making powers non-perma, changed their mind half way, and ended up with an awkward compromise.
-
As the title says. Ghoul invasions in Primal earth! Maybe even IDF/Resistance invasions or battles showing up around the place. Those 3 mobs are some of the coolest in game (I think so at least), and also some of the least seen, especially if you start Blue or Red side. IDF show up a lot later (maybe in some tip missions?) and in Sutter, as well as Maria's arc. The resistance appear in some of Marchand's missions. A horde of ghouls rushing around, maybe with a proper Ghoul AV, would be awesome.

Change Sidekick to level rather than level-1
Razor Cure replied to BelleSorciere's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Uh..what? I never SAID you said it. Try to keep up. You are moaning the sk mechanics impact team and TF contribution. And totally blaming said mechanics..not the people who join as lowbies. And in both cases, the sk mechanics really do not have negative impacts, unless the person is question is super under leveled. Begging the question, why are they joining a team that is way higher? Vindictive is the word I choose, in a sarcastic manner. -
Change Sidekick to level rather than level-1
Razor Cure replied to BelleSorciere's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
So the lowbies who join a PI AV team, arent useless because they have 5 unslotted powers..but because the mechanics are vindictive? Yeah, ok. Also, a ALL task forces auto SK now anyway. If its say a lvl 35 TF, and ONE player at the 30 min ends up at 35 (I cant even recall..would they be 34 or 35?) and somehow thinks they are usless, there are only a few possibilities: They just suck The tf level is set way too high In either case, the solution is pretty obvious. Either dont join a team with a significant level increase over your own, discuss the team difficulty with team members, and if they insist on running +4 or whatever and you feel useless, leave! Or just create the team yourself. -
Suggestion: add three more tabs of enhancements.
Razor Cure replied to Sovera's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
As opposed to actually giving us enough slots to fit ALL the enhancements, and not needing to buy unslotters or respec a 2nd time? Also, what happened to being able to 'sell all' when a respec finishes? It does not even let you sell basic SO's now. Also also..I may be wrong, but I am sure I recall 10 enhancement tabs on Live? -
Change Sidekick to level rather than level-1
Razor Cure replied to BelleSorciere's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Being considerate, or basically 'letting' those SK'd people leech more xp? Sure, in many cases, the sk'd people may only be a few levels below the leader, and have plenty of powers/slots to make them useful. But in a lot of other cases, the sk'd people are like sub20, and borderline useless (aside from things like auto hit buffs/debuffs) and really contribute very little to the team. Naturally some people think that is totally fine, and say so when recruiting for a team (PI papers lfm, any level welcome). In other teams though, especially Maria's AV arc, I have seen a stack of lowbies join..and THEY are usually the ones moaning that the team is 'only' set +2 to teh leader. One particular team, a level 18 rad fender joined. He literally did jack all but spam Irradiate, and talk about how well we were steamrolling, and how +4 would be way better. This when the team totally was NOT steamrolling, and taking about 5 mins+ per mob. I suggested he might try actually using his debuffs to make it faster, and of course he got super offended. I agree with what Greycat said. It's called Sidekick for a reason. Otherwise the name would need to be changed..and its still unneeded change. This! Sadly, a lot of other people have nooo trouble jumping on a team of incarnates and basically doing nothing helpful. Reminds me of an RSF a few nights ago. A lvl 46 tank joins, and brags about being a tank and being able to still help. And she did ok..on a team with 2 darks, and emp and a trap fender (all her, naturally). Then the final mission, she dives into the sig heroes before buffs, and got insta gimped. I fell off my chair laughing. THEN she stays on the team for an STF (in spite of it being the weekly and already having the bonus). That to me is just plain greedy. I like your point about doing a sub max level TF. Ages ago, when ITF was weekly, I did a level 43ish ITF, cause me and my friend were 43. I deliberately advertised for non 50s, and said we wouldnt be running at 50, even if any wanted to join anyway. -
Suggestion - modify the power crash from Tier 9 armor powers
Razor Cure replied to Voltor's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Just needing perma hasten is not that much of a stretch. Quite a few of my toons ended up with perma hasten, when I was not even going all out for recharge at all. Also, LF at 38 means you get to 'use' it at 35. That covers quite a chunk of the game. Moreso considering the kinda people going for perma LF may just play high level stuff, to use those shinies. About the Sleep hole. I did not know that. BUT..having capped resist to all but 2 things kinda makes sleeps mean a lot less. You get slept, the next hit comes in, taking 15% of the damage, and you wake up again. Even if the attack was tox or psi, you would be taking more damage regardless or being slept or not. That is a far, far cry from a WS having no status prot at all, outside of Lobster. The fact that PBs are 4th bottom really has no bearing on perma LF. Actually it kinda suggests the AT, outside of LF, is meh, at best. If 'any' pb player could hit that goal, there would be more. Also, by contrast, what % of melee ATs take their T9, compared to how many PBs do? I bet that is pretty skewed. Which again..tells me that perma LF is basically required. And if a power set requires a T9 godmode to function, its a pretty bad design (ie: stone armour). -
Suggestion - modify the power crash from Tier 9 armor powers
Razor Cure replied to Voltor's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I think that is broken in the other direction. A human form PB is 'meant' (well, at least how I think of it) as a semi blaster with decent resists and healing. It really wasnt meant to be a '100% of the time Lightform resist capped with status protection.' Because having huge resists and status proc IS what dwarf does. Not totally sure Lightform IS perma, but I have seen a few PBs bragging theirs is. (Just checked, it is) Aside from Granite (which has its own huge issues), no other armour set in the game has a perma T9. Well Warshades too, but theirs does not give status prot, and needs to hit targets. So from where I am sitting..the Lightform crash is TOO forgiving (for how good the power is), or it should be changed so it cant be perma'd. I do agree that the t9 crashes from other sets are..well... Looking at the T9s on their own (like Unstop and Elude), they ARE powers that give amazing amounts of survivability. It is only when you look at the rest of what those power sets do, that it is painfully obvious (especially in Eludes case) that the T9 is often doing very little, over and above the other powers. I know there has been threads about tweaking T9 powers on teh forums, so perhaps that will happen down the track. If it does, we could see T9s reduced in isolated power, and actually become worth taking! The devs saw that too some degree, which is why the T9s for shield, wp, rad and bio are all 'less' awesome or a bit different. Sorry to hijack the topic but.. Back to Lightform again..why is it the only perma T9 power, that caps you to all resists bar 2, gives perma status prot to an AT that wasnt designed that way, as well as make every other shield toggle not needing? All that, with very little crash? -
Please increase the number of Carnival mobs in Peregrine
Razor Cure replied to RikOz's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Or just get rid of the bullshit hunt missions full stop. They are very very often tedious, time consuming, super hard (higher level mobs) or zero xp (lower level mobs). One particular one, from mercedes Sheldon. The arc opens at 21, and has 'kill 25 freaks in talos'...which is basically impossible, since the lowest at 24ish. That mission, on a solo squishes, seriously? Likewise, all the hunts in PI are just worthless trash. -
please let touch of fear give Assassin's Focus stacks
Razor Cure replied to scarlet_f's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Would be a good idea, even if it got a lil bit of AoE.
