  1. If this were to work, I think you would need to front the buyer the capital, then wait a week or two while she does her magic, then collect your items. You can buy 70-90 enhancements in an hour. You cannot buy 70-90 specific enhancements in an hour. That goes to your aversion of being a price taker. I *think* you know that. I enjoy getting bang for the buck, but if you want to contract this out, I really think you need to offer a lot more upside. Tell you what, I’ll provide a 1bn build for 5bn. And I’ll pay 1.5bn for a 1bn build. That’s market making!
  2. It feels a bit like Tom Sawyer getting his friends to paint his fence, but power to you! I'd be a buyer of this service. Why not let people contract to provide me goods at the lowest price? I'd make out like a bandit reselling to the AH.
  3. I think you just reinforced my point. If you are joining "PLing" teams, you are doing so either because you find it "too [xyz]" to level normally, or because you just enjoy the experience of zerging. That's cool, and it's your choice. I don't understand why people would make that choice. I'm not saying that everyone HAS to play content at normal speeds. I AM saying that I do not understand anyone's contention that "I choose to skip intermediate content because I would prefer to level to 50, then go back and experience said content through Ouro, preferably with T4 incarnates" I surmise that people do it because it's a lot easier, for example, to fight Atta with T4 incarnates, than without but I don't know!
  4. Again, just my opinion. But my ability to profit per enhancement is happening anyway. Why should I want to provide YOU 5x LotG 7.5% when I can provide five, ten, hundreds to the marketplace? I think I would want something to sweeten the pot. Purples/winters -- terrible profit potential. If you bought winters at 10, good for you! Otherwise buy at 20, sell at 25 for net 2.5mm profit per? Meh LotGs -- costs about 3mm per to make them, on average. Why make you 4 as opposed to making a hundred for the AH? ATOs -- buy at 6mm, spend 500k on converting, sell at 10mm (9 after taxes). Again, why not do this in large quatities? etc. It sounds like you have a good grip on marketing. Why again are you looking to outsource it?
  5. I'm not calling out anyone as a bad player who can't beat a hellion in a straight up battle. Everyone on this forum can punk AVs left handed with their eyes closed. I am saying that if you need a PL, or want one, I don't see a reason other that "It's too hard for me to level my character." Let me rephrase: "It's too much effort (sigh) for me to level my character." That's fine! Up to you. I just don't get it. It just seems to me a way to do the same exact content through Ouro only with incarnate abilities so it becomes even easier.
  6. I'm being simplistic, but this is just another case of "it's too much effort". That's fine. No one said you have to play every alt at +4/x8 from Outbreak (although that IS a challenge).
  7. The more I think about it, the only reasons that I see for power leveling are PvP or because the regular content is too hard.
  8. When are you going to pay the volunteer developers a salary and benefits? You realize, of course, they are working for nothing and that they owe you exactly what you are paying them. I'm sure the other servers would love the population, so report back to us and let us know how it went!
  9. Interesting idea! I can see two stumbling blocks, that would have an impact if I were to do it: 1. 10-15% fee seems pretty light. Picking up ?90? enhancements, or making them, takes a fair amount of effort and even more importantly time. I wouldn't be willing to work for 10%, but I think a lot of people might. All kinds of ways to have fun in this universe! An idea: offer a fixed amount for the job (I'm thinking 2bn) and that way the contractor gets to determine her own profit. That would cost you more, but you are paying to avoid the inconvenience of the part of building you don't like to do. 2. I wouldn't want to go through the hassle of opening a trade window that many times, and emails would be worse. I would only want to do it if I could build the character and transfer it. Is there a way to transfer characters? I can only think that it's intra-account, so granting access to your account on a server that you don't normally use might work out. Then at the end of it you transfer the alt to the server you want. The problem with that is that someone else has access to your account for a period of time, and I can understand that's not desirable. My two inf. Good luck with this! It's an out-of-the-box idea and I support your aims.
  10. I've got a staff/fire brute farmer -- it's spectacular. Probably vastly inferior to other farmers, but spectacular nonetheless.
  11. Yeah you missed it. The devs made all recipes fungible and started giving out purples during Outbreak.
  12. I've never understood the whole Pling to 50 thing, but whatever. I will say that I see a lot more people looking for and finding teams sub 50. So why are people PLing to 50? I don't think it's PvP. I don't think it's incarnate content. Is it to make Ouro content easier? If so, why not just do it the first time? I'm honestly puzzled.
  13. I would say that fungibility across salvage is a much more effective tool for keeping prices in line than the supply ceilings.
  14. Stalker anecdote: I took my rad/bio out for a day trip on a Posi 1 with a PUG the other day. Starting the first mission, I asked if we wanted to speed run or play it out. “Whatever you want, just don’t die.” Thirty seconds later, one shot and done. People seemed to be impressed that I kept running through and one shotting ruin mages. I’m starting to wonder if they’ve ever played with stalkers before? As we come to the doppelgängers, I suggest that we should kill mine first, “since I will one shot you.” As I’m trying to line up AS, the tanker taunts my dopple, who apparently one shots the tank and then takes down the scrapper before I can even get there. tl/dr: rad is a pretty sweet primary too.
  15. Staff is good, but it has some issues. I like it best on Stalkers and least on Scrappers. It's primarily AoE, so you may have some troubles with single hard targets like AVs or GMs. I like it with Bio, personally. There's a recent Staff/SR thread in the scrapper forum, I believe. Check it out!
  16. Yup. That's what I want. If anyone gets around to it, I'd be super happy! Especially I'd like an unlockable Shadow Shard one with rotating eyeballs. That would be sweeeeeeet!
  17. As one of the elves who is busy making shoes for you at night, I can tell you it certainly is other players who are making that product for you. I used to do it for the inf, but now I do it because I simply cannot stand the disorder of an inefficient market. I have a sickness. You are welcome!
  18. Thanks for your thoughts! I definitely built more for resistance while actually leveling, but yeah, I get your point. I reflexively go to Unbreakable Guard rather than Reactive Armor, so I'll look into that. I tend to focus on positional defense over typed, but I'll play around with that. I'll investigate the Panacea proc over numina's -- that's another reflex I have. I generally try to get health 3-slotted. You overestimate my knowledge of Mids with the +5 ing! I hear you on Ablative, but I like having a damage debuff and regen/recovery buff up half the time, so I think I'll stay pat there. Looked at your build, and I think you and I are going to have to agree to disagree on Genetic Contamination and DNA Siphon. I don't seem to get much mileage out of damage auras except on the margin, so GC is an afterthought for me. But DNA Siphon is just too good as a vehicle for proc delivery for me to pass up 6-slotting that puppy.
  19. I'm trying a bit of that, but it's tedious. Why not double your inf quickly and easily rather than (maybe at most?) triple it with a lot of micromanagement and time? The only thing I'm proud of is that I was able to pick up a bunch of Avalanches in the last few days of the winter event at between 3-4mm. Finding the HOB without actually burning a sale can be marvelous!
  20. Here's what I'm in the process of respecing towards. I may need to rejigger a number of things, so inputs are welcomed. I think I may pare back on some of the recharge in order to build up higher resists and maybe a bit more melee defense. Three "oh shit" buttons: Ablative Carapace (frankenslotted since I don't see a good set there), Parasitic Aura (full set of Preventive Medicine for the recharge), and Shadow Meld (which is up more than half the time). DNA Siphon is also an "Oh shit" button, but primarily a PBAoE attack good for a couple hundred damage thanks to procs. I'd level up with Mercurial Strikes (with an Achilles Heel proc) before swapping out later. Anything that can take a Force Feedback proc, gets a Force Feedback proc. I generally don't use damage auras, so I consider Genetic Contamination a holding power; maybe I'd swap in Force of Will with an Achilles proc. This is my basic end game strategy for all my staff/bio (bio/staff) characters, but it's been some trial and error on the way, for sure. 21. I'm far from an expert on building, but this should get you perma I think. I'm not sure how to calculate the proc for recharge, but with 4 of them in your chain, I would think that you would be pretty close to perma +100%. 22. Now that I've gotten him to level 50, as well as a staff/bio stalker and a bio/staff tanker (working on the brute), I have to say that scrapper is the worst AT for this combo. Not that it is a bad combo for scrapper, but it pales in comparison to the other three. Part of that is that the mechanics of critical strikes for scrappers only applying to the first tick for things like Guarded Spin, Eye of the Storm, Innocuous Strikes, and Sky Splitter. Part of it is the 75% cap on resist and relatively low HP of the scrapper v. brute or tanker. I found myself hitting my "oh shit" buttons in every single fight as a scrapper. For my tanker and brute, I rarely needed them. For my stalker, the fight was over so fast that it wasn't a problem. I should do some fine tuning and try to make him more single target oriented, but I'm a little disappointed by it in comparison. It's good, but the power combo is just so much better for the other ATs.
  23. Hmm, with all the KB goodness in BA, I'd put a Force Feedback proc into anything that would take it and go for a very high recharge build. I'll take a look later this weekend.
  24. I found out about timers for power cooldowns a few days ago. Ridiculous!
