On Live, when prestige was enabled, I was a member of a SG on ?Liberty? that was, I believe, the top-ranked SG on the server. You were not allowed to play in SG mode and could only gain prestige for the group by burning inf. I can’t remember the name of the group, but I do remember the giant fire pit in the base. People went *ballistic* that we bought our way to #1. Death threats, calls for banishment from the servers. People really hate change.

I usually start with this, but it tends to give me too many wings, tails, and auras for my taste.

Yeah, I've done that too. EDIT: If I had the time and the clicks, I'd buy 10mm salvage at 100k per, and offer at wherever. It's the clicks that stops me.

As I try to distract myself from the crazy show that is the real life markets... In terms of basic supply and demand, I can understand the rare salvage market. I can even understand the uncommon salvage market. But the thing about common salvage that I don't understand is that somehow people have posted almost 650k for sale at what are (presumably) above market prices. One way to look at it is that every active account has 20-25 for sale. Another way is that 650 characters have 1000 each for sale. And that for sale number keeps going higher! IIRC it was about 450k during the summer. That's a lot of salvage!

Some items have documented bugs, where they are showing false trades. I think they are working on that, but my rule of thumb is that if there are lowball prices that look to good to be true, it's probably a display error.

After I saw this post a few weeks ago, I decided to give red side a shot. I created seven villains themed after the seven deadly sins and went to town! It’s been fun and a lot easier and lighter than I remember. No one is over level 20 yet, but a lot of the problems I remember from Live seem to not be an issue.

I've been consistently successful at buying at 15,005. That's rarely an instabuy, but generally fills quickly.

An easy way to boost your return (as you noted) is to use the converters to get better ATOs rather than sell them. Rather than wait a few weeks to sell a Kheldian ATO for 8mm, you can sell a tanker/brute/blaster ATO for 10mm by the end of the day. That's my general M.O.

Defender or controller are both overpowered monsters.

I do not in any way advocate a fixed exchange rate. I think a market rate would probably be in the 200k+/- range, and easy converters would go away overnight.

I've said this a lot in other threads, but I am incredibly appreciative for everything the current devs do. I know you are volunteering and not making a penny out of it. I didn't realize how much I missed CoH until it came back. I was a little sore about the whole secret server thing for seven years, but meh, what's seven years amongst friends? Thanks to all the GMs and all the players. You complete me.

I hate to date myself, but I went to a $1 movie theater and asked for a $0.50 refund. The movie starred Emelio Estevez. More for OP: As PK noted, you can buy endurance inspirations for less than 50 inf. (again, type /AH to open the auction house). Defense inspirations might also help. If you pop a few of those and Rest, there is almost zero chance one of the grey Lost will hit you.

I could be wrong, but I generally use this forum as a wishlist. I rarely ask for anything, and mostly mock people who want things to be made easier.

Going back to original problem: you have to cure 20 lost, and it’s just too much to handle: I’ve never had this before level 12, and you say you are already going to Perez and that untoggling is too much. First, I’d put an end reduction IO in all your toggles. Second, don’t be afraid to take a knee and Rest. I can’t imagine any of the Lost in Perez can hit you when you are resting, but I’ll be happy to reimburse you for any inspirations you have to spend.

Maybe I suck at reading and maybe I’m a dick. I don’t think either is true. but if you want the devs to spend even thirty seconds to make changes that even a toddler can overcome in five minutes?

I’m sorry, I just can’t come up with another way to make it even easier than spending five minutes fighting greys. Maybe you should go back to playing tic-tac-toe or find an easier game?

Obviously the problem is that the OP is either alone or is in a really small minority of those who are overburdened and is unable to work themselves out of a pickle. solution: go to Perez park, north end but south of the wall. By the time you get the lost cure, the lost who spawn there should be grey to you. You can turn off all your toggles and cure the lost with no risk

The fact that you and I are even posting about this indicates that we all have way too much free time. I've never rested using this power, and I've never needed it to regen faster. How are you playing? If you are playing a melee alt, have you toggled your defense toggles on? Are you using a power other than Brawl on your opponents?

And yet, after 16 years, you want to change the recharge rate ad endurance cost of a power that is in play for 5 minutes?
