It is very Silver Age in its craziness.

The other benefit of being on Everlasting is "Everlasting TFs", a group that runs a lot of complex and difficult content. I've gotten every Mastery Badge on my main Badger thanks to them, including all the iTrials. Repeat Offenders and Everlasting TFs is the ONE-TWO punch that helps make City great on Everlasting! 😺

Excellent suggestion about Sorcery's Arcane Bolt. I often take it on Controllers. With both Containment and Arcane Power (ring around the Icon), Arcane Bolt does TRIPLE damage.

Okay, I've not answered one of your queries before, I'll bite. Having complementary Primary and Secondaries is helpful, but technically that could be any combo. You need to understand the Secondary Powerset a bit, as it's often the one that skips Powers. Also helps to understand Control Powersets in general too, as Powers should be skipped there too. For example, except in rare cases, I never take the AoE Hold as it has much lower Base Accuracy and a very long Base Recharge, making it a pain. Just pick a combo that appeals to you. Make a build. Look it up in the Controller Forum to see what others have said. Ask about it. Here's some combos I know work, either personally or from hearing it from many reliable sources: Dark/Dark Fire/Kin Fire/Rad Ice/Cold Illusion/Dark Illusion/Rad Illusion/Storm Pick the one that appeals to you. Make a build, ask about it as I mentioned above. Make and play the Toon. Judge the Toon on whether you enjoy playing it.

Less Bay City Rollers and more Elton John. Leave researching that as an exercise. 😺

Here's my current Tanker Inv/SS/EnergyM build. Should be able to flip it, but it'll need some work as the base Defenses and Resists for a Brute will be lower. Tanker Inv-SS.20241111.EnergyM CJ Stealth Fly Cross-Punch [i28p1] @Jacke - Jacke Smash.mbd

'Cause Saturday night's alright for fightin'. 😺

I mean come on! One thing to have Silver Age weirdness in comic books, which have limited pages and completely forget about the craziness by the next issue. Put that in City and it's here forever! Our Devs have enough on their plate, what with nerfing Regen and other things under consideration. Having them take on a Silver Age Weirdness Powerset will just break them! 😺

There's been a lot of updating of the base code of City, client and server. Running a canonization on incoming text to make it safe is almost universal to prevent shenanigans.

Kind of tough to get the "Nutrient Rich" Badge. 😺 -
Lord Recluse Mini-Pet Available for the month of November!

Some of the mobs now have it. I think it's a Mag 20 KB. -

Only if the BNY are put in Atlas Park and have massive -Resistance to Knockback. I want to see 'em fly! -
The attack you're thinking of is Shadow Maul. Touch of Fear also now includes a Melee AoE around the primary target, with the Fear only being ST.

I've also got a SG Base on Brainstorm with a full set of Telepads, NPCs, and everything else needed. It does including an Oracle for Tip Missions. /enterbasefrompasscode JACKE-348

Eventually learned to take on all the mob groups. Their maps, however.... Although I've disliked the Layer Cake Room, I've learned most of its twists and turns. The Oranbega maps are a pain because of all the wall features to get caught up on. And finding kidnapping victims can be a bother. The Council/5th Column maps have some hangups. I do agree that damned Pool Room is a pain, so many niches for things to hide. I've not been on that huge vertical Arachnos map often. But sometimes, it's a bother too.

What @Psyonico said. Buffing the team and debuffing the mobs is vital, but most of the time a Defender should be attacking. This also means that solo and team play are more similar and easier to shift between. The Player should learn how to get the best out of their buffs and debuffs from the minimal of applications at the most appropriate times.

I clicked on the Mercy Island Arachnos Flyer to target it.
-
You can target the Arachnos Flier in Mercy Island. However, you can't attack it, you can't even use Power Analyzer on it, and as it flies around, it sometimes disappears, to show up later elsewhere. It's also called a Transport.

Anyone taken down the Arachnos Flier in Mercy Island?

@Mac B, Base Storage was not made as another tier of a unified Storage System (like in Star Wars: The Old Republic, where there's Personal Storage, Ship Storage, Legacy Storage, and Guild Storage). It was made as a way to store various items (either Inspirations, Salvage, or Enhancements) for an entire Supergroup. There are SG Permissions on each Storage item (max 18 per Base) to control who can deposit and who can remove items from that Storage item. The items can only be used on a Toon after removal from Storage. There was no envisaging of using items directly from Storage. To change this in an existing MMO is a rather radical change. That would demand a large amount of work by the Dev team, more so than designing this from scratch. As not only does the new system need to work properly (and handle complex cases of automatically drawing from varying Storage items), but there would have to be a transition from the old system to the new.

I've also run into issues with keeping Toggle Binds to 255 characters or less. I think the 1st option would have issues if the shortened Power name has multiple interpretations. I think the 2nd option would be too complex. It might also cause command line parsing issues. I think the better option would be to have shortened alternate forms for "powexectoggleon" and "powexectoggleoff". Something like "petn" and "petf".

Well, that's obviously a NEMESIS PLOT!!! When did you succumb to the wiles of the Prussian Prince of Automatons, @tidge, and follow his obtuse biddings?

Controller's Dark Mastery's Midnight Grasp's Immobilize is flagged to Stack. But its Immob stock duration is just under the stock Recharge, so it'll be hard to get significant stacking. It'll need a lot of Enhancement for both Immob duration and Recharge Reduction. And get a miss and the stacking is gone. https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=epic.controller_dark_mastery.gather_shadows&at=controller

Oh, "The Really Hard Way" Badge. I have that on my main Badger. How is that associated with Events? And what was changed that made that more difficult?
-
Which Badge is that, Snarky?
