  1. I notice the same on practically every TF and even some door missions. Would LOVE to see that fixed.
  2. No judgement from me. Been there multiple times already.
  3. Concept: Dark Ring Mistresses have nice butts.
  4. Having a steady supply of group teleport can do absolute wonders for the overall speed of many TFs. I still make the majority of my picks based on what the character needs. Examples: Alpha musculature ALMOST always wins but my dark/stone tank had to go with the one that reduces end cost. I normally stick with Destiny Barrier because as an SR main, mitigation is more important than healing. Course, my SR and Shield Tanks don't need more mitigation so they get the Rebirth +MaxHP heal. All my meleers go with Hybrid Assault, as do the majority of my characters, but some, a defender and a mastermind come to mind, go the Support route. For Lore, it's always carnies radial now. Cuz... yummy Dark Ring Mistress. Ok, maybe I'm not needs based as much as I am "use what works best and that's usually these picks...."
  5. Were you running at +0/x1? 🙂 No, seriously, I ask because I've become horrible about pushing diff too high on new characters and then getting frustrated with them.
  6. What video card did you end up with? I ask because I'm still on an old 1080 and can dual box without the maxinactivefps flag.
  7. Added to the list of all the things I've forgotten over the years. Thanks!
  8. I'd say it depends on which "feel" you want to get. Lot of folks are/have-been moving over to Street Justice to get away from the Rage crash while still maintaining a naturally strong feel to their character and it's in no way a bad set. Energy Melee does indeed hit hard but if you team a lot you're going to find yourself corpse blasting often due to the excessively long animation times for total focus and energy transfer, when ET isn't shortened by the Energy Focus that comes from using TF. I've got combos of both across a few ATs. Think my StJ/Inv is a brute, but I've got tanks using both shield/nrg and bio/nrg. You're correct that the bio/nrg is the single target damage master (my nrg/bio scrapper sits around 1:30 to take down a pylon and even that could be better) but bio is susceptible to slows and with no defense debuff resistance it can get itself into trouble fast at the highest difficulty levels. I can't really speak much on willpower as I've never had one fully tricked out. Every time I've built one it's been deleted which is kind of a bummer because my original "me" character was supposed to be a StJ/WP brute. He ended up being my fire/bio sentinel. Here's hoping someone with more info shows up but I suspect going WP/StJ will fit well what you're looking for.
  9. Not until the pod shows up with my desk sometime next week. Why yes, I AM having gaming withdrawal!
  10. See my first post. 🙂
  11. Thanks to the tank damage buff that occurred here recently definitely improved the solo ride for tanks, so I'm not at all surprised you're digging that fire/staff. Doesn't hurt that you're dishing out a lot of AoE from both sets. On the topic of what's fun to solo, for me, it's anything with mez protection. Tanks, brutes, scrappers, stalkers, sentinels will all fit under that category, all have armor and all do enough damage to fly through missions at a good pace. That's not to say the other archetypes can't also solo at decent clips but as things ramp up, getting mezzed becomes such an annoyance to me that I'd rather just not bother with them. My favorites to solo are my claws and super reflexes using tank, brute and scrapper, my fire/bio sentinel and my shield/nrg tank. I've got plenty of other alts but those are my goto combos.
  12. Nah. Just different. Nin gets the click heal and click end recovery but if you have to use those you're cutting into your DPS. Nin also provides far less Defense Debuff Resistance so it HAS to use that heal while SR doesn't need one.
  13. Unable to recreate on any of the instances I have available. Do you have any mods installed?
  14. This. I always slot the AT IO procs in single target attacks specifically because I want them capped out against hard targets.
  15. I got around this by going black nrg pompoms and the dark shield.
  16. Considering how much corpse blasting I still do when teaming with my shield/nrg tank, I can agree with this line of thinking.
  17. Two issues with DM, I have. Shadow Maul's hit fx continue on the target after the attack animation has already completed. The best single target attack chain is MG, Gloom, SL, repeat, which are all left handed attacks. It gets REAL boring after a while. But yes, 100% agreed that having a self-heal as part of the attack chain and tohit debuffs adding on to Inv's defense is a very powerful combo.
  18. Planned obsolescence. Useful for more than just the manufacturing world!
  19. Nah. I suspect my lifestyle choices will take me down first.
  20. Just dinged 49 at the end of June.
  21. Damnit, @tidge ... Now I have an ear worm to purge. Too early in the day for that! On topic, fun is that thing going on when I'm not angry and the pursuit of fun is often utilized to get rid of anger.
  22. Scrapper Evasion, at least as per old design, was never supposed to taunt, while brute/tank evasion was. It's all still quite wonky and I completely agree that some standardization should occur. However, I suspect there'd be whole lot of pitchforks if all taunts were removed from the scrapper armors that have them. Might be better just to fix scrapper evasion instead. I see no reason for tank/brute evasion to have a taunt aura but scrapper evasion doesn't anymore, especially if we're defining SR's taunt being that enemies are so pissed off that they can't hit you that it taunts them. Thanks for the added eyes, yall.
  23. As shown below, and this is the same case for brutes as well, why isn't Evasion actually taunting? Here's Tank Evasion: Here's Tank Against All Odds:
  24. Shield/Nrg is a fine pairing. It's my goto whenever I want to solo something that should kill me. Excessive survivability and single target damage output.
