  1. The answer to the bolded for me most of the time will be no. If I wanted more of the drastic changes some other servers are doing I'd be playing on them. In fact I'd argue some of the changes the other servers have made are more divergent form CoX than things here. Everyone's Milage May Vary (EMMY)

  3. This . . . doesn't surprise me. Those are the three places I'm least likely to want to go if I'm playing COH most nights. Very rarely do I want to deal with some of the nonsense in missions in those zones. (With the DA missions that give components being the exception). Let's face reality, that a majority of COH players aren't here looking for challenging gameplay. There are other (more modern) games (and in some senses better rpgs) on the market for that.
  4. I . . . don't think incarnates even matter in this convo of who can or can't be mezzed. It's level 50 content, end game. The End Game League you're on is making you better in ALL aspects: Damage, Recharge, Defense, Resistance, etc. Mez Prot being there via Clarion isn't a big deal compared to all the other ways your League is making you overpowered (a good thing, that's one of the major selling points of teaming in COH). If we're talking about mez protection, makes more sense to come at from the 1-50 game, which a majority of players are going to spend their time. Interesting discussion though.
  5. Nothing. The mez system as is fine. I don't think you could actually improve it, but you could make it worse if you make the wrong changes. I say leave it alone, the devs have more important things to focus on. Trying to change a system that old at this time is NOT a good use of dev time. I don't think it would be that big a deal to move mez protection out of domination and onto dominators directly. Do I want them to do that? No. Would I care if they did? I'd just /shrug, say "neat" and keep playing my Doms when I do.

  8. I was . . . very happy when that certain Dev was no longer with the game for various reasons accumulated over the years he was there. Will be forever grateful he helped get the game out of beta . . . just as I will be that he left the project well before he could do any further damage to what he created.
  9. Bottom line: The market on HC is 100 times better than what we had on live. A build that cost me 1.3 billion the other day would have cost me several times more that on live. I think all the sinks we have (including the fee) are fine as is. Nice thought experiment though OP. Got us to see how many people in General Chat don't know jack s&(#e about how the Market works. (Which has been proven time and time again, don't ask General chat if you want a serious, thoughtful answer. You're more likely to be mis-informed or trolled to death).
  10. I believe this is exactly why the waves in the Terra Volta Trial were speed/adjusted up. In the old days you'd just be sitting there twiddling your thumbs. Cut at least like 15 minutes from the length of the Respec Trial from what I recall.
  11. Until COH players learn the pattern again, and it's back to "muscle memory". But that's just the nature of adding anything new to mmos. Devs take months to add "it", players beat "it" within 7 hours. 😅
  12. I'm for any and all suggestions that improve how we deal with costumes in COH. Including all the ones posted in this thread, including the OPs. QOL stuff is great. 😀
  13. yeah I don't understand this idea that doing more difficulty content doesn't get you more reward. that's pretty much COH since beta. LOL.
  14. That would be a pretty good experiment. I suspect you would get some. But I suspect it would take far longer than forming a tf/sf with no such requirements . .. cause most people probably don't want to play that way. Which is fine. You form your own teams and just wait if you're asking for something special. Agreed on the last line especially.
  15. I would not mind if all fully crafted Set IOs dropped from killing mobs-- Bosses, AVs. Fully crafted COMMON IOs from minions, Lts. Exclude AE if you have to. If they did this I would be open to rebalancing large parts of the game around IOs.

  17. tfs and sfs every single time. Every time recently when I've asked after seeing a comment on LFG, the tf is filled if I wait more than 5 minutes to tell the leader. With itrials filling out over time but always filling. I say again me and some folks are playing a different game. EDiT: And to be fair depending on the time of day pugs may fill up faster. But that is to be expected. I don’t expect most folks to put in the time commitment for a tf if it’s 4 am in the morning. Those folks are gonna do one or two quick council missions and go to bed. LOL Time commitment is also another reason why it’s not a goood idea to compare council missions or PUG missh teams to sfs/tfs
  18. For the bolded: Hence why my position is always make changes that soloists, teams, team leaders can OPT INTO via difficulty options. Leave the main game currently as is.
  19. You had me up until the bolded. If folks want to see other content they can form teams for tfs. Folks will come. There really is no tf or sf that has an issue forming. Especially strike targets. If that's the concern just increase the number of weekly tfs/sfs that are strike targets. Also I don't think it really lines up to compare something that gives merit rewards (sfs and tfs) versus something that doesn't (Newspaper/radio missions of any type).

  21. I can't answer the questions. I can say though anyone who thinks we'll be seeing the Battalion anytime in the next 3 years (let alone 2021 LOL) . . . needs to pass whatever it is they are on.
  22. Pretty much the bolded. Who cares if folks want to keep running Council paper missions all the time. No really, as the kids say "who asked?". if that's want folks want to do, let them. If you don't, don't. Simply run your own missions and ask for harder difficulty OPTIONS to be made.
  23. Or how about you don't, and put in the difficulty options to make certain mobs tougher. Leave the base game as is. If folks want tougher have them set it via difficulty options.
