    My favourite filter fail occurred on the Legacy forums. A user posted a rant liberally laced with f-bombs, so one of the Mods, edited their post, to which the OP responded by sending a DM to the Mod, also liberally laced with f-bombs, so the Mod reverted the post but then set vBulletin's filter to replace instanced of the f-bomb with the word "pancake". vBulletin, being somewhat stupid at times, instead of just replacing 'f***' with 'pancake, replaced every letter with the word 'pancake' so that all of a sudden 'pancakepancakepancakepancake' was appearing in people's posts. It was pancaking hilarious. I found it to be so funny, that I have used 'pancake' in place of f-bombs out in the wild ever since.

    When I worked for a gaming company, their profanity doc has 22k+ entries across multiple languages. I don't think words were ever removed, but new ones were added throughout the year.

    This is right up there with 'Give us a pre-Issue#' server. Requires a separately maintained code and another server to maintain. Considering that the devs and mods are volunteers, I am opposed to another load on their already limited time.

    Base building in the past had to follow restrictions on placing items, such as not blocking doorways, hence 'pathing restrictions'. While items could be "destroyed" like power supplies, controls, benches and such, they were repairable not completely destroyed. Giving the out-of-bounds placing and base building the HC guru's have granted base designers, this is why I suggested a duplicate base that is strictly for raiding. Perhaps objects would be in place, though portals might be off, not sure how those would work in a raid or if they should, and storage items would be empty. Also, bases already have to be loaded when you enter similar to mission maps. :)

    This brings up an idea that's been floating around in my head since HC has managed to un-spaghettify the base code to some extent, and then @GM Crumpet brought up dedicated PvP SG's. What's been rolling around in my head is the possibility of bringing back base raiding, granted back when it was still a thing there was a much larger player base to take advantage of it. Now, with the current free-wheeling hand these miraculous HC devs have allowed base editing, I think base raiding would only be possible if SG's could make a duplicate base that had pathing restrictions (regarding placement of objects) and were specifically flagged for PvP. Or base maps that could be uploaded or flagged for use in the Arena. Back in my RP days on Legacy either of these would have been put to considerable use. Just an idea.

    Not just 'No', not just 'Hell to the NO' but /jranger "forced flag" and great/fun do not belong in the same sentence. In no world does 'forced' = fun. I couldn't care less about open world PvP as long as it's strictly optional. And similar to AE should not be in starting zones.

    That's hilarious. Back on Legacy one of the few times I got caught in a PvP zone (while exploration badge gathering), there was a group of gardening implements camping the hospital to gank folks that were respawning, having a grand time.

    80% of statistics are made up on the spot. I am working on my 3rd page of characters on one server, only 3 have hit L50 and only one of them has done any incarnate-level content, plus Hami's maybe 2-3 times a week. I run content from tutorial to Grandville/P.I./Night Ward. I don't like grinding anything, that's why I'm generally on different characters every day I log in. The devs would likely have the metrics on how many prisms are being handed out/consumed/traded and I will leave it up to them to decide if the drop rate should be adjusted. But I vote no for prisms being awarded in PvP.

    You beat me to it. 13 new badges, but you can only ever get 1 of them? From a personal point of view, that sucks.... And to point out that it misses out on another form of 'theme team' — TFs run with a team where every character in the team shares a powerset. An example I participated in back on Live was an all-Kinetics team, but you could run an all Radiation Melee team, or an all Ice Armor team, or even stretch the definition a bit and make up a team with a 'special effect' theme — for example, everyone had a Radiation powerset: Radiation Blast, Radiation Melee, Radiation Armor, or an Ice theme to rope in Dominator powersets, too. Heck, might as well add Origin to the mess. I'm going to have to agree with the No's on this one. Make it a title instead.

    I have entered PvP zones for 4 reasons: To help a friend test their build. For RP, which usually had to do with action regarding the pillboxes/meteors/etc and nothing to do with PvP.* Exploration/Plaques Day Job *Funny story regarding that trip, 2 other players decided to attack our group (of 4), they must have been pretty confident in their builds but that wasn't enough. I play a lot of support (Illusion/Emp Controller at this time) so got targeted first, popped off Flash and relocated while they were writhing. Now, I realize that controls have a reduced duration in PvP but I tend to build for controls rather than damage, actually nearly caused a team wipe in an STF because I confused Scirocco and the Tank lost aggro because he ran off to pound on Black Widow. Both attackers got sent to the hospital in short order and we continued about our business, we never saw them again.

    I've had a couple of homage characters back on Legacy, such as a Grammaton Cleric when Dual Pistols came out and Sorro the Spay Blade, a veterinarian on Virtue. As for the subject at hand, report and move on. Perhaps file a rating note on said character with a description as to why you flagged them.

    You can also look for unfamiliar icons on your buff bar to identify or check your combat log later in an attempt to identify what power is causing it.

    I was never a Barbie fan growing up, I was usually playing excavator with the Tonka trucks in the back yard with my brother. I won't begrudge folks that want to create homage characters though.
