Just to touch on this, there are several different AoE powers in the game: Targeted AoE - Where you must select a target and activate to lay down a 'patch' centered on the target. Example: Snow Storm or Speed Boost Point-Blank AoE - This is centered on your own character. Example: Foot Stomp or Shadow Fall Location AoE - Where you must select a location to lay down a 'patch'. Example: Tar Patch or Spirit Tree

As Bopper said, you're more likely to get a better response in the Brute section.

I didn't play CO beyond it's Beta, didn't really care for it at all. I'm pretty sure that they both run on the Cryptic engine, which is why you see common bugs between them. As far as mobs ignore your, that in general occurs if you've out-level them in the neighborhood/zone you are in. If you've hit L10 and you're tooling around Atlas Park, pretty much every mob out on the street will ignore you. Otherwise, welcome and I hope you enjoy your stay!

I'll take the Dev's word, who would have access to the relevant information than the anecdotal info from a player who has a very narrow view of the market and influence excessive currency has on the market. As someone who dabbles in marketeering, I've personally seen prices drop across the board for almost everything I look at, sell, or buy on the market.

Thanks, I really like the name myself. 🙂 As for the purpose of the thread, I think it's intended purpose is like the Costume Request Thread but for folks that need help with names rather than help creating/updating costumes for their character. Though there are tonnes of helpful tips here too.

Synonyms also work with regards to creating memorable names for your characters, something that stands out. Dark is a commonly used word in comic books, synonyms that could be used in place of 'Dark': Midnight Umbral Dusk Murky Gloom Tenebrous Tenebrious Shadow Stygian Veiled Sable Ebony Grim Bleak You can open up options by considering what the name is describing; is it appearance, a description of their powers,, or a frame of mind or any number of other reasons. For instance, back on Legacy I had a Ice/Dark character and 'Black Ice' was pretty obvious (and taken) so I selected 'Sable Drift' instead and found it preferable.

Welcome home! And I've said much the same thing, though I never minded the sub myself. I started with the 1mo when I first started playing, then 3mo, then 6mo. Even at the 1mo price of $15 it was still a bargain, basically the cost of going to the movies... once. Considering back on Legacy I'd play anywhere from 2 hours to 6 hours a night, that was pretty inexpensive investment. Granted, now it's very affordable. 😄

There was a thread in the Suggestions & Feedback sections a while back that was more focused on being able to continue to level your Praetorians without having to migrate out of Praetoria. I felt the easier way (without having to create whole new zones, not that I wouldn't like having Neo Tokyo since that's where one of my Legacy Praetorians came from) was for a mission arc in First Ward (or Night Ward) to gain access to Anti-Matter's destroyed lab below the zone that grants access to Ouroboros and eventually Cimerora.

Same way as during Legacy. word of mouth. In other games I play, I usually hit up their Discord and when conversations turn to "What else do you play?" I talk about CoH. I've come across a few folks that didn't realize that it was back.

What they should have done when they added AE was make it rewardless, other than relevant AE badges and author-created souvenirs. Our RP group used it quite a lot to advance our character's own stories. Playing user-created content should have been it's own reward. But no going back now.

So what you need to do is take the attached ogg file (which is the Praetorian mission complete file renamed) and drop it into the correct CoH data folder which would be: Drive:\CoH\data\sound\ogg\FrontEnd If you do not have this file\subfile structure you will have to create it. MissionComplete1.7z

I do not believe it holds onto a name at all, pretty sure it just checks if the name is available at the moment you check the name. This can probably be easily verified by a dual-boxer with one character sitting in the CC with an available name in the box and try to make a character with the same name on their second account.
