  1. That's one of the reasons I use Ctrl+Shift+Del to access the Clear Cache/History dialog.
  2. Pretty much, only I skip the whole soda thing because I quit drinking it about 10 years ago.
  3. Me: Iced tea please. Server: Would you like Peach or Raspberry? Me: I would like Tea-flavoured tea. This has been my conversation with servers on multiple occasions.
  4. Restaurants inflating their prices by putting cheese on everything, but not giving a discount when you don't want it on your food.
  5. Sounds about the same. If I'm trying to play a decent person in Praetoria (ie, not someone who's rabidly in it for power ...) I have one Praetorian (gathering day jobs at the moment) who is running strictly through the Powers arc, as I don't recall ever having done so back on Legacy. She an ex-Destroyer that got tired of getting stomped on by every other mob in the city, not to mention the alien invaders so she sacrificed her entire crew to get jacked-up by Neuron and now she want to be top dog. Keeping that in mind I find it a lot easier to make decisions based on her mindset rather than what I would choose myself. Regarding playing redside, my main villain makes decisions not based on what may seem heroic, harsh, or evil. I don't play him... it much at the moment because of the pandemic because he... it, is a walking, breathing pathogen. He was the second or third character I made when I got back into the game over a year ago and not due to our current circumstances. So when missions provide options that would spare or sacrifice the subject, it will opt to spare. Not out of any type of altruism on its part, but because the living are more capable of spreading the pathogen than the dead. So it's not so much about the text of the missions, but the context your characters view it in based on their own mindset.
  6. You can get the Ouro exploration badge Chrononaut in Echo: GC, Chronologist is for time spent in Ouro which you still cannot access until L15. Edit: Nevermind... you apparently can get into Ouro via Echo: AP and even use the regular exit back to Atlas Park. You can even grab the Ouro portal while there and drop it down, but you cannot enter Ouro through the Ouro Portal temp power until you are L15. Go figure.
  7. The term "carebear" isn't disrespectful in itself, it was generally used in gaming for players that were helpful towards their fellow players. Taxibots were carebears. When used to describe others as if it were a negative, I usually find the person doing so to be a posterior head-adornment. Courtesy should be more common that it currently is. Regarding opt-PvP in any zone, not sure it would be in the spirit of the game to see heroes battling each other in the street of Paragon.
  8. Hmmm... I'm sure it's probably hidden in Enemies or V_Powers somewhere, Still trying to locate though.
  9. I hear a pack of laughing hyenas. It's pretty noticeable and not something you'll come across anywhere else in the game. 😄
  10. There's also the issue of the game engine not being able to keep up with a player's speed, causing a lot of shearing and tearing.
  11. I just want to thank the devs again for granting the ability to disable signatures on a per-poster basis. It's the small things in life. 🙂
  12. Right there with you. I get the whole 'immersion' thing with darkness and 'fog of war' but it's a huge eye strain for me in certain zones and maps as well.
  13. I was thinking along the lines of Thermal/Water Defender named Coffee 'n Cream.
  14. As far as opt-in PvP switches are concerned in all zones. I just don't see it as happening. Power functions follow a different set of rules when in PvP zone, now you want the game to calculate on the fly in the open world how it's supposed to function depending on who or what you are targeting at any given moment. Unless of course, you're willing to us powers permanently set to their PvP functions for as long as you are opted in?
  15. I thought that the auction house was the SwitchFade zone?
  16. You must have missed it: Psionic Dart wubba wubba wubba Powers psionic4 🙂 Well, the list does preced Elec Affinity by about 8 years. 🙂 It will take quite a bit of digging for the sfx for the new powerset.
  17. There are several sounds stitched together to make up the Dual Blades sfx: Description: Nimble Slash Folder name: Weapons File name: Swordhit2, swordstab5 Description: Power Slice Folder name: Weapons File name: swordstab3, SwordSlicer, Swordhit2
  18. I am opposed to a dedicated PvP server. This would require a thin, all-volunteer staff to maintain two separate code-bases. As for venturing into PvP zones for badges, venture in at your own peril. This was an annoyance for me back on Legacy but here on Homecoming I have found the PvP zones to be vacant. If you are on the Unofficial PvP server might I suggest transferring to one of the other servers to grab your badges, then returning to your preferred server. Seeing as how transfers are free and all. Worried about losing your name? Create a placeholder character during your detour, then delete when you want to transfer back.
  19. Seems like we have similar... pet peeves... <.< I have replaced, quieted, or completely silenced every one you've mentioned. Bots MM squeak like rubber duckies when they walk instead of stomping around Demon Lts giggle like infants instead of the incessant rawring Wolf's/Beasts I decreased their volume by about 75%, the barking I silenced. I've also silenced toggle auras like Spines that players leave running.

  21. People arguing about what is or is not considered "playing the game". Just kidding, I couldn't care less. Put me firmly in the column with the others that have listed "Healers" as their biggest pet-peeve. After reading the thread, a close second pet-peeve is people complaining about other players soloing content or role playing in an MMORPG. I solo quite a bit of content in multi-player games because I like to experience the content at my own speed. Back when I had subs to these games my general response was "You can tell me how to play, when you start paying my sub."
  22. I'm not sure where the "spending money" came from. I wasn't advocating that people try using a VPN to solve their connectivity issues, just that those of us that already use VPNs should look at their points of connection as a possible slow down. VPNs have gotten better over the years, where in the past they almost always used to slow down your connections, now a days I rarely see an impact. 🙂
  23. There's also a matter of VPN. Whenever I experience an lag/hiccups/rubberbanding/buffering etc. I head over to Speedof.me and check my connection, then reconnect to another of my VPN's servers if it's slow. Sometimes the one it auto-connects to is not always the best choice.
