  1. Good! I think the changes were meant to remove easy farming/sleeping your way to 50. ETA -- Look how mad some people get when I point that out, and down-vote me every time I say it. XD
  2. Best advice I can think of (on top of everyone above me there): team, PUG, TFs, whatever. Drag this weak and terrible toon to 50, even with egregious holes in your slotting. Be lazy on the teams, hang out in back where it's safe, whatever. No one will call you out for this, and if you say you're new, they may even give you gifts. If they do call you out, block them and keep playing. Make it to 50, keep playing. Keep teaming. Inf with drops etc. will start to roll in in large chunks. Keep being lazy if you need to, whatever. 😃 Once that toon is slotted and established, you won't have to hide in back AND the money will start to pile up, by simply playing (not farming, speed-running etc.) Just playing, easy peasy. Enjoy playing a superhero. 😃
  3. Big fan here of this as well: https://onelook.com/reverse-dictionary.shtml
  4. @ThatGuyCDude, if you don't already write MA arcs, it's time you started. 😃
  5. Trying to figure out how to use popmenus looks like homework, I think I'm good. ETA< but I tried it anyway cuz I'm dumb and it was easy anyway, so cool, thanks!
  6. But you're bionic too!! Jokes aside, what's the BadgeSetList one do?
  7. Stalker, and MM, maybe a third? Can't recall now. Doms are my current fave, so I guess I need to get a new one.
  8. Oh goodness, that's a lot, I should look into some of these...
  9. And then that one annoying guy keeps popping Fold Space to grab the group back to him, because he's the awesome here.
  10. My understanding on how The Things Work is that it's a matter of attachment points, not just setting a flag. I'd guess the shouldery-cape thingies take up that back attachment point, so nothing else can be fit on there.
  11. I see Excel speedruns on lots of things, any and all TFs, and when I find myself on one and say something, I'm generally the only one doing so (I really should just drop when that happens). That's one thing I like about SBB: level-capped so no hiding behind your wall of purples, Winter Expense and fully IOed builds, and you have to take it at the pace it goes at, no cheating your way through. The "meta" is indeed to grab everything like merits and Inf are going to be nerfed (just look at Scrapyard). I'd be happy to join this, except I game during odd hours and even after the big influx Indom is dead during the night (and Excel pretty much reverts back to what it was pre-influx: four people spamming to door-sit a farm, a Yin speed-run, and a Tin/Px, which may also be a speedrun). But all power to y'all! Maybe I'll check in sometimes, just to see if maybe there is something to get in on.
  12. Say WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? I've been ignoring two new toons I made recently (never a good sign for them) to play my last 50 a lot, and she's been red side fa0 rmore lately than blue, so... yeah, play redside!
  13. But the murk is her friend! She's survived all these years by being a mystery, perhaps an engima, maybe even a hoax! Leave the woman some decency for cryin' out loud!
  14. I just got lost in there tonight. First I'm all "oooh, what's down this hallway?" and before you know it, I was all "how do I get outta here?!" Since we can't have a map, then some signs, maybe floor arrows... a talking NPC who says "main base's thataway" each time you go by them, anything would be nice.
  15. I can't even get into the game now, the game even had me send a crahs report. I went to update the videiod maps. I logged in, was on for about five minutes, tyhen it crashed out with this error msg: That popped up whenever I tried to get back in. I've tried uninstalling the Vidiot maps, and uninstalling/re-installing it, "to homecoming" as instructed by the original page. Now when I do that, I get a msg that says "be sure launcher is closed then click OK." Every time. The launcher is closed, I even restarted the computer and didn't try to open before updating and and I still get this. I should have known this was going to be a headache, every time I touch this stuff it goes south, Snarky was right! 😃 ETA: yeah, the game launcher crashes every time now. ETA mrk2: and now it all works just fine... sigh... I swear I did nothing different. Someone send me a panda please.
  16. Bingo, That's it, thank you. I think they added a few new ones this time, which might have somehow messed up the order?
  17. The grey-area T shirt sites had/have them (I haven't looked recently though). I bought a few, and have a hoodie with the Arachnos logo on it.
  18. I think a problem here is that there's only so much population. Say 25% of the population runs MSRs. Once split between the two options, a certain percent of that group ("people playing level 50 characters who want a little challenge in the game but are gatekept out of advanced mode TFs/SFs" for example) will then go off and run this 50-only content. That means less to run the old version, and probably that they will be run less often. If I'm right about that, then that means the window's shifted, again, to favoring "only 50s" toon in this game, which i more power creep. Speaking of such things, whatever happened to that instanced version of the MSR? I don't think I've been on one of those in ages. Has anyone else seen them done commonly; any idea why not? Weren't they sort of kicked up so more of the foes were tougher?
  19. I just wish they'd all show on their different menus (Most Recent, Accolades, etc.) in alp0habetical order. I had a toon with one set that fit, then accidentally unset it, and spent about a full minute going trough the menus trying to find, and still wasn't able to. My time was limited so I couldn't just go through them all slowly one by one.
  20. I took Shred for my "BAMPF Melee" stalker, because another AoE is always useful, especially once I've hopped into the center of another group. I don't use it all the time, but often enough that I don't regret it.
  21. Many ATs were designed originally to be ranged-only, but as the game plays today, they can be melee fairly easily. If MMs are the only AT that are still required to stick to that design philosophy, then you're describing a gimped AT. But I do think @Glacier Peak has a point: the root of the problem here is power creep. I think it began back on Live when they introduced Incarnate content and didn't, imho, scale up MMs enough to face that. Now as IO'ed builds-to-the-gills and +4/4star stuff becomes more and more the norm, that gap is just widening.
  22. I didn't say anything about melee vs. range. Blasters aren't meant to be melee either, so my analogy to losing capability as they suffer heavy damage still applies.
  23. I wish it did. I suppose I could save the costume, then try and load it onto a new toon, and see what goes away; sadly my time for playing tonight is over. I was sort of hoping maybe someone here might know, or a helpful Dev might happen by (hint hint)...
  24. The AT's mechanic is part of the problem. As the MM/pet team starts to take damage, especially big chunks, the pets start to drop, which means the MMs damage goes down. I don't think any other AT suffers this was, imagine being a Blaster that took a huge slam of damage and then lost their nuke, or the Build Up or something. When you start to lose, you spiral down into losing faster. And then, yeah, there's the whole panicked and terribly slow trying to re-summon and rebuff, while taking more damage, or trying to guess if some secondary power might be better here or what...
