  1. I have stalker based vaguely on Nemesis the Warlock, Broadsword/EA. He plays well, but I've never bothered to get round to hitting 50 with him yet.
  2. But if employment practices, both good or ill, aren't one of the epic battlegrounds of the current age, I don't know what is. Does this hero dare risk the ire of his boss by staying on the clock and accruing overtime to stop the forces that threaten Earth? If he's not being paid fairly, would fighting back make the hero a villain? And what of mentalist heroes who tool about the city surreptitiously siphoning up everyone's mental data without informed consent, doesn't that make them villains??? I could go on. 😃
  3. I'm sad we can't fill a map with GMs this way, too. I know it's because people were creating ridiculously lucrative farms, but still.
  4. But that's not what we're talking about, "making it harder", the topic at hand was making it easier.
  5. Citation needed. You can just make it a mission pop-up like on entrance and exiting a map, one click and it goes away like a teleport prompt or a Fortune prompt. I have never heard until now anyone complain about these things. And AE and even other missions, really need help to involve people - might not bring one single more player into the AE missions, but it's a decent QoL change that would help players who are (or doing other stuff) enjoy the game even more, so it's still worth thinking about.
  6. You still managed to finish it though, right? And people still play the Aeon SF don't they? 😃 I'm not trying to snark off at you but again: isn't this game already easy enough? Must we be able to bumble through everything without getting our tights scuffed?
  7. Seconded. Sure it might lead to some eyesores wandering the city due to uncaring players, but hey, that'll just make my costumes shine all the more! Joke aside, I am actually up for this, I was just thinking the same thing two days ago in the costume creator myself.
  8. Yeah, that's still not everything, but it's a good start.
  9. Very much this. They need to make some change so that every bit of text that the team lead sees can also be seen by anyone they're teaming with, like a Clue drop or a big ol' text box that shows up on screen (although I'm not a huge fan of those; even with my new much wider screen they always post up under my map or a Pet window or something).
  10. I've done it all of twice since HC started up; never did it on Live. And I saw someone advertising for it just last night, or maybe the night before? Plus I play during usually dead hours. Still, that is only 3 times. My guess is it doesn't contribute to an accolade that makes min/maxers super happy, and it can't be easily farmed, or maybe doesn't pay out well enough. Lots and lots of stuff in the game gets ignored because of that. I keep thinking I'm going to start starting more teams myself to get away from the usual TFs, DFB, and Incarnate-level TFs only style we've encouraged with endless farming... still really haven't gotten to it though. Maybe just some random AE stuff (played a fun one last night), but the way only the leader can see all the text is just a pain.
  11. Nope, I've never read any of it. That was, as I understand it, "adventure fiction," this is horror.
  12. Eh, just a dumb comic-type storyline. Like alternate universes, every comicsy media property is going to mine that tired well sooner or later.
  13. I think I had seen that someone made a TOAST IN THE MACHINE a few years ago too, roughly; those shoulder dealies figured in prominently the same way. But kudos for the good use of the costume change here! (I guess he must burn the toast a fair amount if he's only getting three stars though)
  14. I've fixed the noted typos and updated some of the dialogue to make sure the timed mission doesn't surprise anyone.
  15. Is that another monstrosity created by the Chile Pepper Institute in New Mexico?
  16. Unless you tank because the team is hard up for tanky-types, or if you run waaay ahead of the team on the map, then TP them to the AV, or other such things. I enjoy the tanking the most, THAT impresses a lot of people who don't know nany better.
  17. With Incarnates walking around a dime a dozen, fully purpled-out builds, you name it, isn't this game already easy enough? The only time I might agree with this is MMs, who's pets seem to very often get one-shotted, which of course gimps you terribly.
  18. Whoa, may I ask about this? If you'd prefer not to, feel free to not even reply.
  19. They need to update the Wikipedia article then, it disagrees.
  20. Probably yeah, for most people. I get super tired of bouncing off walls in caves, and I find a Kin deathly dull to play, but having one around is always ha ha a boost.
  21. Again, notes inside in hidden stuff...
  22. Some points addressed above in the hidden text (I hope, I'm not sure how that works on these forums)/
