Hard pass from me. The few times I've heard voices in vidya games (not that I play any, really), their idea of "good voice acting" is like bottom of the barrel Hanna-Barbera cartoon characters. Like nails on the blackboard of my mind.

Somewhat off topic, but I don't play MMs much and just rebuilt one and have been seeing this a LOT. Best I way I know to get rid of it I quickly is click a "Goto Attack" spot and then reset into Bodyguard or Attack My Target as needed (yes, I do tend to move them around a bit). Is that the best way to get past this problem, or is there something else I haven't thought of?

It's not the space we're worried about, it's the XP and drops. I'd also point out that "go do something and wait for them to be gone" wasn't effective as they were literally always there, unless they'd just been reported and removed. "Whack-a-mole" and "they always come back" were two ways a mod put it in replies to my reports. I'd be up to see the door timers get extended though, although it's always sad to see the group get smacked in some way because a few bad actors. I'm not a huge fan of that sort of response, I feel the ones doing the bad things should be the ones to be affected.

Their pets fire at whatever gets nearby, not only minions. And please don't characterize this as "how MMs play" in the first place, because you're suggesting every person who plays an MM plays this way (not true), and it's also not a related topic. Now listen: one of the leeches that I kept reporting would often have what I would assume were alt account characters (they were all members of the same SG, all) parked up in the AE building; usually four of them. My guess is they were on the team with the MM down in the parking lot (who wasn't in league), and were leveling up and catching drops without doing a single thing, while the MM below let his pets do the work. Meanwhile, I was down there clicking doors and targeting mobs, rezzing others and serving as anchor - even with one of my MMs. Now tell me who was doing real work and who was leeching. Exploits are expressly disallowed in the rules. But hey, once again, let me extend an invite, please invite me the next time you play, so that I can tag along behind you to demonstrate what I'm talking about. 😃

Jack The R(edacted) one time was leading a league at the hotel and because it was full, I ended up going over to join the KW one, and ended up running that league, while Jack was sending the excess LF ToT'ers to me. Someone being ready and willing over there would probably help spread out people, but to end up ignoring the hotel? Man, I dunno... I guess I'll need to start doing that myself and broadcasting in the LFG channel or something next time.

I can generally agree with this, but it does fall into the similar "why don't people play red side?" problem, which is that "everyone plays where everyone else does" and trying to make that change is mighty hard. It's a tradition at this point...

Yeah, @Mopery I too am already unhappy to see so many people engage with outright farming too, and I have often had trouble finding a team on less-than-peak hours only to see a crowd gathered in Pocket D's AE room. Farming for XP (more of a merit farmer during ToT myself, but anyway) during Halloween is a different beast though, as it allows players to come together in a whole league which is a lot more fun imho (I love the whole league thing in an MSR too). And then someone invites themself along to your farm and you can't get rid of them and they let you do all that work and siphon off a percentage of your gains. Imagine if people could do that to every instanced map you play on (shoot me an invite the next time you're on and I'll be happy to demonstrate!*). But since people will want to do this (in ways at least grey-area-enough against the stated rules that devs will take some action against it) why have rules at all for anything I guess? Rules are there to stop people's worst excesses, just FYI. They acknowledge that folk will do a bad thing but are there to curb it and to state that such isn't acceptable to the group as a whole. *Really I will, please call!

Isn't that what the do for the entire event already (hence the "it's on after the update, then it's off after another update)? Did they do it once and decide it was too much effort or something? I'm not sure what that means exactly in this case.

Yeah, that kissing booth was nearly the best part for me too. But it was all great, thanks for opening up to let us tour around!

But seriously, where'd they go this year? And weren't they gone last year too? Did they decide they were too silly looking? I THINK NOT! I've just missed them this year because after taking several screen shots of them previously, I accidentally deleted the folder that all my HC screen shots, sob. I really think they should come back. Maybe drop them on a few buildings in the spooky Atlas Park Null The Gull can send you to, if nothing else (would be nice to see some content added there too!).

Didn't happen last year either IIRC. I think they must have decided they didn't like them.

Playing an MM is punishment enough. (I swear, I make one about every year and a half, take it to fifty and then just drop it when I keep remembering pets getting one-shotted all the time).

Now my final follow up question: what happened to the green Halloween window decorations? I didn't see one this year at all. This bums me out because I liked them, and took a lot of screen shots of them that first year, but then lost all my screen shots in a files mix-up a few months ago.

I'd just TPed the league over to the monkey-beach to take down Jack again, got in one good hit and... there it went.
