  1. All players can now move through Mastermind henchmen and push them out of the way, not just their owners. You're welcome. You guys are my heroes.
  2. I saw that! XD I already have the dead tree versions, but picked the PDFs up anyway just to add them to the collection I keep on my Surface. 'New version of Fading Suns is in the works as well... Although some of their design choices are making me o_0 a bit.
  3. I have to admit, Noy, I'm having some doubts about it affecting the player, too... Remember that winged stalker I played all the time back on Liberty? Grey Kestrel? The one who had that perma-summoned Mu Adept side-kick? I had the Soulbound set for him, with the BU proc. I don't remember it ever affecting Kes' attacks. It absolutely DID fire and affect Cardinal's own, though. It was enough of an effect to be hard to miss.
  4. Syndicate... PPD (Primal or Praetorian)... Circle Mages as a counterpoint to the Demons... Black Knights... Tuatha and Fir and Cabal and Redcaps... AND FREAKS. I want Freaks, darn it all. >_<
  5. On Everlasting, I tend towards the members (Or descendants, in the case of my Nova Primeva time-travelers-) of a particular faction of rogue Oranbegans, and a few "assorted others" who are affiliated with them. (Like the self-aware warding spell of the Sanctum, or the animate figurehead of their artifact warship, or the arcane manifestation of my Thorn Wielder's blade-) There's a lot of individual variation when it comes to personalities and backstories and such within that basic framework, of course... Artemian the Madness Mage, who was nearly eaten by Mot, is a very different person than Kaikara, the one and only mortal Death Mage, or Dorian Stanton/Gentleman Spectre, the time-hopping Ordus Mentem adventurer who'll train as Arte's apprentice x-hundred years in the future... But they do all share that same "starting point". The 'White Thorns' affiliated with the Nemissary and the Temple of Primeva. Back in the Live days, I played a whole flight of what I jokingly called my "bird-things"... A non-canon species of Rularuu. Faathim's creatures... I also have a few of them here, on Excelsior. The Ghosts and the Birds don't include ALL of my characters, but between the two they traditionally have made up the bulk of them.
  6. Ah, but even without the magic they won't fall to pieces immediately... See that one mission in Praetor Pervy's DA arc with the Talons and the disenchanted crystals... So the General would *still* have to figure out a way to deal with a whole bunch of (Justifiably, Kaikara would say-) ticked off people with swords and crossbows and a serious bone to pick. 😆
  7. I took my Stalker and went flying around Crimson Falls out in the Shard. XD
  8. I will, forever and always, be a flier. When the game was gone, that was one of the things I missed the most. Just being able to have a character that could fly whenever and where-ever they wanted to. (Aion, don't even get me started on that "flight timer/flight zone" crap you do. <_<) Pretty much every character I build has either the Flight pool proper or Sorcery, for that reason. The Void Skiff, Rocket Board and Flying Carpet are adorable, but I don't really see them as a substitute. I can't even imagine running a 50 who was still dependent on Ninja Run and jet-packs. o_0
  9. I'd like to see a few obvious-but-missing Lore options added... Circle Mages as a counterpoint to the Circle Demons we already have, Syndicate, PPD (Primal or Praetorian), Tuatha, Animus Arcana, Black Knights… FREAKS!! (Seriously. Why do we not have Freaks? I want side-kick Freaks dammit. XD) And as an aside, as someone who spends the majority of their time running solo... I don't think the iPowers in general are "overpowered" or "make the game TOO EASY!1!1!0ne!" for that particular play-style. On a tricked-out 8-player team? Yeah. I can see where people are coming from there. Especially if you're running at base difficulty and face-rolling Council. But for someone running at a higher setting on their own? Those iToys make some things not only possible but also good fun that just wouldn't be otherwise. I know that first-hand. I was out there running mostly-solo when we didn't have Incarnates. I remember some of the "brick walls" very clearly and it's nice to have ways to get over/around/through them now.
  10. I'd love to be able to move bases between shards this way... and yeah. Even though I've put Ermeeth-only-knows how many hours into my Sanctum of Shadows, I'd share it around in a heart-beat. If someone else wanted their own goofy lake-house in the middle of the Midnight Sea, I'd say more power to them. It's *supposed* to be a dimension of infinite islands. XD
  11. I'll admit that it can be a real pain on the typical "Let's slam into this with our faces!"-type team... But when I'm running solo I actually kind of enjoy trying to work around it in groups with multiple Lts. The save-them-for-last and then "Let's see if I can manage to balance out the damage and then KILL BOTH OF YOU/ALL OF YOU simultaneously with this AoE" mini-game has entertainment value. I'd miss that.
  12. Mage is good fun. I'm a long-time Ars Magica fan (A lot of the arcane jargon I use with my Oranbegan characters is based on the terminology of the Hermetic magi in Ars-), so I took to M:tA pretty readily, it being something of an evolution of that older game. Wraith was always my favorite of the old WOD games, though. I GMed Wraith for a year or so, switching off with other members of our group, who ran Vampire and Changeling on their turns. Fading Suns, Space: 1889 and Castle Falkenstein were also popular with that group. We had some good times with all of those. TORG and Deadlands saw some play, as well.... and I actually met Mr. Coyote playing Shadowrun back-in-the-day. XD
  13. Yep. Which team you're on can affect how many VMs you get... sometimes by quite a lot. Composition of individual teams matters.
  14. I do play red side... The first two characters I made on Homecoming were Tavaris and Kaikara, who are both red-native Rogues. That said, I do tend to have more blue siders. As others have already mentioned, it's just easier to find teams in hero-land and its where most of my friends play. I only go red with characters I intend to solo all the way through to 50.
  15. VT... I blame you for this. >_< There may be a little black housecat Claws Stalker lurking among my crew now. She says "merr". <_< And that her name is Snickerdoodles. >_> … And yes. I parked her in Pocket D.
  16. I don't recall asking for your approval... homeskillet. (Whatever the hell THAT's supposed to mean. <_< )
  17. I actually don't mind Doc Q... Yeah, it takes awhile to do, but I never really felt it was a horror. Synapse, on the other hand? I hate that one. Total. Freaking. SLOGFEST. Not a huge fan of Numina, either. The street hunts are just terrible.
  18. And yet… for YEARS after the outfit was released, many of us used the wedding tux tails coat on winged characters, which works basically the same way the trenchcoats and bolero coat do, without issue. (That was changed very late in the game's life, without announcement, resulting in a few people losing favorite costumes after minor edits.) It's also worth mentioning that for the first few weeks that bolero coat was in the game, you could ALSO equip it on winged characters (for example-).... so it CAN be done.
  19. I know the history behind the noise she makes, and you know what? I don't care. It's damned annoying and it obviously bothers enough people that silencing it ought to be considered. "History" is all fine and good, but not at the point when it becomes actively obnoxious.
  20. I may as well add my own this time around, since it's currently "all dressed up" for a special occasion. XD The Sanctum of Shadows - Wedding Edition! SANCTUM-2764 @Coyotedancer An old Oranbegan's "lake house" retreat, located beyond the far horizons in a dimension called the Midnight Sea. While traditionally kept in a state of perpetual, peaceful darkness, lately the Sanctum's pavilions and surrounding islands have been lit up like a birthday cake with torch- and candle-light. Flowers have started to bloom and garlands of roses have appeared. Even the Karnaim, the magi's Skybound warship, has found herself decked out for a celebration...
  21. My catboys back-in-the-day were Mister Bibbles... and Mister Mistoffelees. XD
  22. My very first tabletop RPG was a game of old-school, "black box" Traveller run by a friend's older sister. I was 12 years old. (I'll be 50 in about a week, to give you an idea of just how long ago that was. XD) I've been tossing funky dice ever since. Currently I'm playing in a troupe-style 13th Age game, and running a house-ruled-to-Yu-Shan-and-back version of first edition Exalted.
  23. Yep. That's a Halloweened-up version of Atlas. XD
  24. I only played cat-BOYS. *nyan*
  25. I was doing the set-build for Amtes, my Demons/Time MM last night, and decided I did want to give her the ATO sets after all, and not just the procs. I needed 8 for that. Type didn't matter since conversion is A Thing. I had to buy 13 packs to get those 8 ATOs. NONE of the 8 I eventually got were from the MM sets. Mr. Coyote was actually standing there, watching me open the things, laughing at how poor my luck was. >_< I did get a nice pile of merits out of those packs though. … Which was good considering how many converters I went through turning the Not-MM bits (a sea of Spider Bites and Kheldian's Grace) into the MM O's I needed. But as annoying as THAT was, it's not the worst luck I've had. That happened last week when I wanted an Avalanche proc for Shonokin. I bought a Winter Pack for 25m. No Winter O. I shrugged... It happens, after all... and bought another one. No Winter O from that one, either. I gave up and just bought another, slightly less pricey Winter piece and converted it. That proc ended up costing me something like 70m when all was said and done and I didn't even get any Merits from those packs. They were Inspies and Brainstorms and a Tailor Coupon. <_<
