  1. One of the things that I have begun to enjoy is teaming up with people that don’t know who I am.😁
  2. Longbow. A year in the Rogue Isles (which I only left for SG events and maintenance) really made me despise that faction. And it’s not their difficulty, it’s simply because they were entirely too much of the villain side content.
  3. Especially because there were what.. 7 itrials? Pre-Dark Astoria, the only option for getting past Alpha was running those trials CONSTANTLY. Run BAF and Lambda enough to unlock Judgement and Interface, and you were lucky if you had enough resources to tier 1 both of them, and the higher level ones were built as 'gear checks', some of which if a large portion of the team wasn't at least +2 in trials you basically couldn't finish it. It's nice here on Homecoming the itrials being a thing because people WANT to do them, not because they (feel like they) NEED to do them. Exactly.
  4. The best post in this thread.
  5. Make an alt on Torchbearer just for this. That is a very obvious idea. How in the hell did I not think of that? lol I have an SH mate that uses power combinations that make me think this very thing all of the time.
  6. No. Brutes are far more enjoyable than Tankers.
  7. Make an alt on Torchbearer just for this.
  8. Blaster Corruptor Sentinel Make all three.
  9. https://forums.homecomingservers.com/index.php?topic=5099.0 Get the Pine’s Builder and start working on ideas for yourself. It will come in very handy for all future character builds.
  10. Is there any chance that you could make a App for this builder?
  11. https://forums.homecomingservers.com/index.php?topic=5099.0 Take a look at Pine’s Builder from the post at the top of the General Discussion forums. This builder will let you look at different firsthand.
  12. Hop on the test server, build Fire/Ice combinations of those three ATs and play around until you like one.
  13. I fail to see how "buy the enhancement attuned" is a solution for "I have this recipe and want to make it attuned when I craft it". Well I thought it was implied but if you want to be literal then the solution is: 1. Craft your recipe 2. Sell the crafted enhancement 3. Use that inf from that sale to buy an attuned version of the enhancement And for completeness sake if you've already slotted the enhancement the solution is: 1. Buy an enhancement unslotter 2. Unslot your enhancement 3. Sell the unslotted enhancement 4. Use that inf from that sale to buy an attuned version of the enhancement Since the attuned and non-attuned versions of the enhancement share the same set of market listings and an enhancement catalyst generally costs 4-6million using catalysts to attune enhancements is a huge waste of inf. In fact in many cases you can buy an attuned enhancement for less than the cost of a catalyst. Using catalysts for anything other than upgrading ATOs to the superior version is basically wasting inf. Another option is to buy cheap Attuned IOS and convert them into something that you want.
  14. The purpose of attuned sets is so that those sets aren’t level-locked and retain their bonuses across their entire level range. As I would love to see the answer in print: Why would you want Attuned Common enhancements? So I can slot at 7 and not have to replace it until I am 50 and doing sets? If you use Attuned set IOs, you can slot them as soon as those sets become available and keep the bonuses whether you Exemplar down or play at 50.
  15. My SG just ran a Katie Hannon a couple of days ago and one of our PUGs was DocBot 2500. An Empath with only the base attack and all of the Medicine pool. The in-game banter with this character was so much fun that I would team with that player every single day.

  17. On my first character (Dark/Dark Scrapper), I only slotted one Resist Damage enhancer in my shields because I had no idea that they stacked. Needless to say, I am glad that I learned how to build.
  18. That has to be the most requested costume in the history of the game. Maybe the Homecoming team can make it happen.
  19. Don’t forget the Numina’s Convalescence unique.
  20. I wouldn’t complain if we could set two auto-powers.
  21. This is also my #1 pet peeve. If your team has no damage mitigation aside from "taunt mobs to stay on the tank and scrapper", okay, sure. But if your team runneth over with control making the enemies helpless (and preventing the tank, and everyone, from getting aggro), debuffs making the enemies simply anemic, or buffs making your team members unstoppable gods... And, granted, your AoEs WILL be more valuable if you stand and wait for everyone to get grouped up - sure! But, are they so much improved that it's worth having 7 team members sit around twiddling their thumbs while one player plays the herding minigame? Also don't get me wrong - I love tanks and I think tanks definitely have a role on support and control heavy teams - it's running AHEAD of the team, pulling more and more mobs into the death zone. Because why steamroll one spawn when you could do three? Both Brutes and Tankers can excel at this task, it just takes a little more slotting to get the Brute there.
  22. Indeed, I24 was the Issue to fix Issues. Now, we can Cap Smashing/Lethal on pretty much any build. As it should be.
  23. Hero/Villain Merits are good for storing lots of merits in one place and for transferring them to other characters.
