  1. I always thought "duping rares" sounded like a rap song
  2. Hate to double post , but did this issue get resolved yet?
  3. Yes, I am . This is a new Windows install and haven't got around to getting an Antivirus installed yet
  4. @Number Six I saw you said in another thread you had fixed the launcher for those of us that had the issue with it not loading after clicking Accept. (thank you ) And it did indeed work for me, the launcher will load up and launch the game however it is still asking for the Visual C runtime as described above. I installed it, repaired and uninstalled and reinstall. It still gives the same pop-up every time I open the launcher. And I believe it is not launching the game in 64 bit, if I am correct in understanding the settings: Suggestion for how to fix this?
  5. So I recently acquired a new chip and SSD for my old tired pc. After installing both and upgrading to Windows 10. I downloaded new launcher to make a fresh install. Unfortunately I hit the same problem as discussed here: And after either clicking install or repair it will do it's thing and I will get the launcher asking me to accept TOS which I click accept and as before it closes and nothing happens. SInce this is a fresh SSD and there is no CoH or Tequila stuff on this drive, as well as a fresh Windows install I wonder if this a hardware issue. I am using a AMD Radeon hd 5570 video card
  6. And what or how exactly would you even stop powerleveling at this point ? It is practically a feature of the game now.
  7. Is my memory correct, didn't we used to use another launcher or something before Tequila? Could I have a file or something from that causing an issue?
  8. That's another thing I meant to mention. I never had a Tequila folder. I have always just had a CoH folder which had the game files as well as Tequila files in it. And yes I have deleted all the Tequila files from it (actually deleted all Tequila files on my pc trying to get new launcher to work)
  9. Don't know why I didn't think to ask this sooner but , I have played on different servers using Tequila. Rebirth, Pleiadas, and Ouroboros. So in my CoH folder is folders for each of these servers accounts as well as .exe files for each server. So my question is these other files , exe, and folders what could be the problem with using the new launcher?
  10. I do not understand removing Echo: Galaxy City beacon. Can someone explain this? You make Ouroboros available at level 1 now but remove the most convenient way to get it. Confusing.
  11. @Hyperstrike While I appreciate the sentiment to help. Please read the whole thread ,I have already tried all the things you suggest. At this point I am just going to wait to hear back from @Number Six , they have the log and crash files. Hopeful they will find the problem. There is no hurry and I am sure they are very busy with this already.
  12. Yes, I did try turning off AV but it did not make a difference. Open to any other suggestions .
  13. Ok, I removed Tequila from City install folder, redownloaded launcher and installed at C:\Homecoming instead of default C:\Games\homecoming Still not working, same as before ,click accept and popup closes and nothing else happens. My understanding is Tequila does not have a uninstaller, you simply delete the 4 files from the directory. Is this correct?
  14. So the general feedback said to start a new thread for bugs. I am not sure it is a bug, most likely my own ineptitude but here goes. I downloaded launcher with no problems, installed fine, it found I had City of Heroes already installed and asked if I wanted to copy data. I choose yes. Next popup ask me to accept EULA I do, popup closes and nothing happens. Tried running as Admin, did not seem to make a difference. I am running Windows 8 32 bit I assume it is most likely a file address problem, does my City of install folder need a specific name? or location? Will it matter that Tequila is installed in my City of folder?
  15. Damn, was hoping he would make it somehow. My thoughts to his family and friends.
  16. I am happy with how the Homecoming team has been careful about new things and testing to insure balance and stability. I think these 2 things mean you have to go slow and be careful with what and how new things are added. I do not remember which server it was but just a few months ago they introduced a new powerset that completely borked their server. And they had to do a complete server roll back. As stated above Page 6 is coming , patience grasshopper
  17. This is just terrible ..such a nice ,helpful guy and a booster to this community. I wish and hope for the best, good luck brother hero
  18. So my understanding was the game spawns x amount of baddies into the bowl at regular intervals. And the number is based on how many people are in the bowel. So stealth makes less baddies spawn because less the people are counted....not sure I explained that very well. I have not seen anything that would prove this to be true or not. Just what I have seen in chats/posts
  19. I like to think @Luminara typed all that and posted it while waiting for the 15 minute timer to stop. My favorite part: *golf clap* Bravo
  20. Just wanted to post in this awesome thread full of constructive discourse about something that hasn't happened yet.
  21. While this looks and sounds fun,it also looks and sounds like a level 10- 20 mission arc. Can you confirm level range?
  22. Sonic Manipulation looks really interesting, any idea when this will hit test?
  23. I got 14 I consider finished and 2 that are "works-in-progress" As for slowing down...Started playing day the server went live and played almost everyday for awhile but have not played much these last couple of weeks. Just felt the need to take a break. Been catching up on some movies and TV shows.
