I interpreted that as rotation in the sense of rotating which come up earliest in the list, which would be very nice, rather than rotating in and out of dev choice.

Ability to display Global instead/as well as local name
Mr. Vee replied to Venture's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
One thing I do that might help you a little is setup key binds for global channels with local name display. I bind to the keys that have default binds that close windows which annoys me, so m, n, c, also b, the first/third person toggle. But obviously can do it wherever you like or macro it. Bind is /bind m beginchat /send "name of channel"[$name] So with that I hit m and type. When I hit enter it sends to the channel in the form @global[local] message Could be pretty easily adjusted for your purposes using /team, /SG and /coalition instead of /send channel but I'm not sure what the $ alias is for global name. If you find that would just depend how many bugs you can stand and how successful you are getting SG mates to do it. Doubt it'll help with team but could be a useful stopgap til your suggestion gets implemented -
I can't imagine why they'd nerf something so universally useful. It's not as if it's just benefitting a certain at or set or something.
-
Yes, and can easily be soloed now. But it's still a crap tf.

I expected a reply of this form. No, I'm not. No RL auction works like this (no, it doesn't - whatever you come up with, it won't have this characteristic where the bidder can at no fee submit any number of bids gradually creeping up towards a predetermined price; it would be absurd - even more annoying with real money where the bidder is even more incentivised to make tiny increments in their bids.) eBay works kinda like this, except here if you creep the bid enough you get the item rather than just lead the bidding til someone else ups theirs. Now, a compromise I think might work, though I'm ecstatic with the market as it is now, would be the option for the seller to list a buy it now price in addition to their list price. But I'm not a computers so idk how hard that'd be to implement and I'm not convinced it'd be an actual improvement so much as just an attempt to make folks like you a bit happier with it

See that's the thing, we have played other MMOs and their markets are terrible. I thought swtor had the worst possible. Then I played secret world legends. I'm willing to bet there are even worse ones. All the constant undercutting, short sale terms, relisting. It's just awful. I get that you're used to a more direct sale market than an auction house but give it a chance and I think you'll like it. A bunch of people liked it so much on the original servers that is practically all they did. And even if you don't grow to like it, at least I hope you'll appreciate how nice it is to be able to search and bid for things that aren't currently for sale.

Where do I go for my pillory time?
-
Did you try making a custom sound as outlined in https://forums.homecomingservers.com/index.php/topic,2456.msg21033.html#msg21033. ? Might kill two birds.
-
Please no. The market was already one of the most perfect things about coh and the fungibility has only made it better. If I want to see prices I can always go back to other MMOs where the lack of double blind annoyed me to no end.

This x1000. I wish I could remember where on the old forums a similar discussion was where someone had run the numbers and it turned out that, strange as it might sound, slotting endurance reduction is actually worse for your endurance usage until a certain point (i.e. later when you have slots to spare that aren't committed to more important things). Your best bet is damage in the attacks with end mod in stamina and the aforementioned procs if you have space, then end reduction in attacks, then if still having problems, in your toggles (though i find all you need for defense toggles is to use the /end reduction piece of whatever set you end up putting there once you're at IO level).

issue 26 Patch Notes for May 30th, 2019
Mr. Vee replied to Leandro's topic in Patch Notes Discussion
Curious. Why is a "bit much to ask" that a person be able to do it in such a short period of time? I'm not being combative. I'm really trying to understand the mentality that "X is too fast, and should be eliminated." I'll qualify my question here: PVP, I get your point. That's competitive. But for a co-operative game that also allows solo play with built-in mission difficulty sliders so you can effectively solo content meant for full teams if you can build for that......and there's no financial reward for anyone for keeping the player base moving slowly or at least all at the same speed/pace..... Why is this a bit much to ask for? Because there needs to be at least a minimum required effort put in for things or all the people who don't just casually play low level stuff will get bored. They could just make everything completely free but when you just push the button to get a food pellet you quit running the maze and eventually your stomach explodes. If this were any other game than coh where altitis is the true endgame players who play a lot would already be getting bored at the accelerated growth rates available now. Note that I'm the last to be calling for nerfs or saying you should play a certain way. All I'm saying is that the across the board merit increase you originally asked for has a) already happened and b) is unnecessary given how many orders easier it is to level and io characters now. I fully decked out a character last night, superior, purples, everything attuned, all at but it nao pricing and it cost me about what a crafted apocalypse would have cost pre-shutdown. I didn't even have to use my stockpiled merits. And I've been playing a fraction time per day I did on live. There's nothing keeping you from what you're asking for with the way it is right now. -

You can still casually play and get a top build, and you can do it faster now than ever before. But it's a bit much to ask that you be able to do it in the short time these servers have been running. -

Merits have been increased pretty much across the board. All those 1&2 merit arcs in Praetoria are mostly 9 now. Old posi and sister p in ouro are back to their original numbers. I've noticed various other arcs that are more fairly compensated now. Plus the merit costs of things have been greatly reduced, which amounts to a huge boost across the board. -
I made a full purpled/superiored ATO and winter/all attuned build last night, all buy it nao, leaving my 600+ merits untouched cuz screw crafting. And it was so much nicer my altoholic self will never go back to the miserly way. Enjoy your spoils and give those moustaches a twist for me.
-
They only show what you're eligible to use.
-
Lotg are so cheap now you're better off using merits on a brute ATO or one of the pricier winter enhancements, selling, then buying lotg off the market. You can then just buy your lotgs crafted and attuned too, which would save the salvage and crafting costs.
-
Uncommon the name text will be yellow, rare orange.
-
Looks right, between the crates, though that was always one of the tougher ones to find with cw blasting you the whole time. Do yourself a favor and dl https://sourceforge.net/projects/vidiotmaps/ and unzip it in your coh folder. This won't be the last time you need it.
-
Protip - If you search them with a cap of level 10 on the market only the attuned ones will show. They definitely exist and shouldn't cost much, especially the numina. I'd save my merits for more expensive stuff. Also I don't know if the alignment merit vendors still have anything, as those aren't awarded anymore and only still exist to make it easier to send merits to alts.
-
Can confirm the invader contact in NW corner of port oaks and it is glorious. The doors all spawn in PO too. I had the required badge on a toon without even knowing just from running the mayhems while leveling and an lrsf.
-
Keep at the market for cash and you'll have a big pile of merits when you hit fifty to buy the more expensive enhancements.
-
I'd second the brute because claws works so well on brute, but I found invulnerable to be pretty bad on brute, so idk. As to side, doesn't matter. Just send money from an alt for utility powers at the p2w (you're doing this anyway, right?) and use your new pocket d teleporter to get to null the gull to change to rogue or vidge.
-
Yeah when I said I'd had no problems I meant it was no more annoying than on live. But how to deal with this is one of the things I actually remembered.
-
I could have sworn that you could spawn scrappy by killing a ton of miners but paragonwiki didn't mention it and I don't trust my memory.
